• Please - need help changing the rules to exclude certain hosts/guests

  I need to find a way to exclude certain hosts and invited only a few rules, and I can't seem to understand.  Here is my example.

  I have a guest who I want to disable monitoring of the 'Memory of Virtual Machine of VMW Swapping' State.  The guest I want to exclude the rule is called "ucapmil1 (QAUCL).

  So I in the field field of application of this particular rule rule:

  "VMWVirtualMachineMemory where virtualMachine.name does not correspond to ' ucapmil1 (QAUCL)"

  I also tried

  VMWVirtualMachineMemory where monitoredHost.name! = 'ucapmil1 (QAUCL).

  Neither seems to make a difference.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  Thanks in advance.

• em12c cannot instance of discovery on the host database

  I manually added a host with the instance of database oracle in EM with success, but I can not add the database instance in em12c as a target for monitoring.
  
  When I add the database to the selected host computer, the Em12c cannot discover instance of database on that host.
  
  Similarly, I tried the Autodiscover, EM12c still can not find the database on that host instance. The database and the listener are in place and working well.
  
  so I don't know where I missed. Please suggest. Appreciate all the comments on your part.

  Hi Roy,

  I suggest to consider supports note "Basic understanding of data found in Enterprise Manager 12cCloud [ID 1400463.1] Control". In particular, take a look at "Has the database been discovered?" section point #3 which basically says to make sure oratab is correct and is accessible by the owner of the agent.

• Display notifications to the host in the virtual machine

  I use an Instant Messenger (Pidgin) client on my machine (Windows) host.  But I spend a lot of time in VMWare workstation.  I would like to be able to know when someone is trying to contact me through the instant messaging client.  Now, I continue to have switch between the host and the virtual machine to check if anyone has happened to contact me.

  While I could install the instant messaging client in the virtual machine, then I have the opposite problem - when in the host machine, I wouldn't see someone trying to contact me on the client that is running in the virtual machine.  E-mail clients instant most (if not all) you do not have the client running actively against the same account on different machines (in my case, the host and the virtual machine).

  I tried to use a parameter "always on top" for window my client of instant messaging on my machine host, but that gets ignored when I go to the virtual machine.

  Any ideas?

  Welcome to the VMware communities forum.

  The simplest solution to your problem is more likely to use the unit.

  From the top of my head, under the view menu, select unit instead of windowed or full-screen.

  This allows you to use applications in your host application as if they are part of your host operating system.

  Of course the applications are still part of your guest VM, but they appear as normal applications instead of in a new complete desktop environment.

  You must have VMware Tools installed in the comments to use it.

  To expand on the topic described,

  I want to be able send a trigger to alarm the fpga digital 9472 out that lasts 30 seconds using the operating system time real clock time on the host computer

  The way I approached this problem is that

  In the loop where the event occurs, if the event trigger is defined then the fgv has a time stamp when the event occurred is sent.

  In the loop that communicates with the control of fpga, I write to the control based on the condition that the difference of the current time checked and fgv time is 30 seconds or less, then it will send the value true, otherwise send fake and wait for the next occurrence of the event.

  The main problem after implementation of this is that 9472 led does not turn off when the false value is sent to it.

  So if the event occurs so timestamp is stored and then the difference of the timestamp result is<30>

  then a true value will be sent to the module of 9472

  So basically I want the light and I want to do the 24 v output for 30 seconds then turn off and wait for the next occurrence

  I think the method that I test it with is not very good, because I realize other factors that may contribute to this problem, so I think I found another way to test

  and I will try it but its will take time.

• Transmission of data to the host of RT to the FPGA via DMA FIFO

  I try to write data from a host of RT on target FPGA using DMA FIFO and then process these data and read then return of the FPGA target to the host of the CR through an another DMA FIFO. I'm working on the NI SMU chassis 1062 q, with the built-in NI SMU-8130 RT controller and target FPGA NI SMU-7965R.

  The problem I face is that I want to send three different tables, two of the same size and the third with different size, and I need one more small to be sent first to the FPGA. I tried to use encode dish with two executives in the FPGA VI. In the first image, I read and write the first table in a while loop which is finite (that is, a finite number of iterations). The second frame contains the process of reading and writing the second two tables (of the same size) in a while loop that can be finite or infinite (depending on a control). The problem is that it does not work. 2 arrays are displayed on the front panel of the RT VI host and works well, however, the table that should have been read in the first sequence does not appear on the front panel of the RT VI host. It is not sensible because if it is not passed from the host to the fpga and vice versa then the second image should not have been executed. Note that I'm wiring (-1) for the time-out period to block the while loop iterations until the passage of each item is completed. So the first while loop has only 3 iterations. Could someone help me undersdtand why this happens and how to fix this?

  If you vote for my idea here and it is implemented, you can even omit the loop FOR fully.

  (I also propose the RE / IM divided inside the loop FOR and perform operations on complex table before the loop the transpose and reshape .) In this way, you only need one instance of these operations. You might even save some unnecessary allocations table in this way)

• cRIO-9114 don't reset the host.vi programming interface

  Hi, I use Labview 2009 with a target FPGA 9114 cRio controlled from a host PC.

  Host opens the target FPGA (open FPGA vi reference) and then executes a loop to write output voltages via the FPGA - target.vi in an analout 9264 module. Works very well.

  When the loop in the host.vi is stopped, I tried that reset just as method of FPGA interface outside the loop to restore the default values defined in the FPGA - target.vi the analog output voltages. However, the values are not reset, but remain at the last value in the loop.

  The only thing that works is by using the method of interface FPGA download instead of resetting one after execution of the loop.

  Any ideas why the reset function and/or stop does not work?

  Can you post your code? I guess that the analog value is never sent when you stop. The program closes faster than analog writing. That would be my guess based on the way you have described.

• "CatalystControlCentre: the host application has stopped working".

  I get this message when I boot: ' CatalystControlCentre: the host application has stopped working. . Caused A problem blocking the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. " This happened after I got malware and have since sent to quarantine. A / the result is that the wallpaper is gone replaced by a black screen. Some of the icons on the screen and the line along the bottom disappeared. How can I fix it? What I have to find and pay a professional to do it, or can I fix it myself?

  There is a rule that applies to agents, that is called "Health officer", if a stop of the agent data collection or has problems, that the rule should fire, can you check if this rule will do?

  To configure the notification email on any State, please see the following article

  For Nexus specifically it is a rule called "Nexus Agent State", the rule sends notifications to the system J2EEADMIN and DOTNETADMIN variable.

  I got the notice that ' the host 'SMTP is not found. " Apparently some time back I inadvertently changed the name of the server, selecting from a list and not knowing the consequences. • Static NAT with the road map for excluding the VPN

  We have problems of access to certain IPs NATted static via a VPN.  After some research, we have learned that you have to exclude traffic destined for the VPN to the static NAT using a road map. So we did this:

  10.1.1.x is the VPN IP pool.

  access-list 130 refuse ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255
  access-list 130 allow ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 any

  sheep allowed 10 route map
  corresponds to the IP 130

  IP nat inside source static 192.168.1.5 1.1.1.1 sheep map route

  Above worked to fix the VPN but the IP 192.168.1.5 is no longer publicly available via 1.1.1.1.  What seems to happen, is that the static NAT is not really work and this IP address is NATted with the IP of PAT.

  Any ideas on how to get this to work?

  Hi all I need urgent help on this pls I have host on ip add 1.1.1.2/24 connected inside interface of the pix with ios 7.0 in transparent mode. and the external interface of the pix connected to a router IP 1.1.1.1/24.i enabled icmp inspection.i can see the router arp entry into the host and the host arp entry in the mac address router.both are well learned by the pix. no traffic flow form the host to the router. There is no access on the pix of pix.the list does not create an arp entry in the stange very pix. I tried to manuaaly add the entry:

  ARP in 1.1.1.2 0011.d80d.f6ac it gives an error <1.1.1.2>not allowed. network address I do not get it .my question is why the pix don't is not create entry arp. what could be the problem. could someone pls help me with this thanks pls.

  Lol this is not as you mentioned. I'll explain the communication all in detail. I hope this helps.

  Assumptions:

  PIX configured to L2, with outside as 0 and inside as 100. insidehost on inside the network and external network configured outsidehost.

  scenario 1

  ==========

  If pix is not configured with the IP address, all IP packets are dropped and syslog Id 322004: no management IP address configured for transparent

  Firewall is saved. So lets see how communication works on L2

  outsidehost tries to communicate with insidehost. ARP request is from outsidehost and is sent through dissemination and it is received by PIX and sent to the inside network, without change.

  Return of InsideHost and the response is sent through to the outsidehost. When you see the arp on the outsidehost and the insidehost entries you will find the corresponding arp entries.

  PIX will forward arp request/reply.

  You can give the command "local host" and you won't see any entries created on the box.

  2nd scenario

  ==========

  An ip address is configured on pix and insidehost starts communication with the outsidehost. Communication is from top to bottom and will allow pix.

  No change in the behavior of the ARP. Exactly as mentioned in scenario 1.

  Given that the IP address is provided to the box, entered the local host is created and formed connection for traffic from insidehost to outsidehost.

  Connection between outsidehost and insidehost is denied because there is no access list to allow traffic from low to high.

  You can give the command "local host" and you will see the entrance to insidehost, outsidehost.

  3rd scenario

  An ip address is configured, created in order to allow the circulation of outsidehost insidehost and applied to the external interface of access list access list.
