Exhausted on c309a ink message

I have problems with my printer/HP Photosmart premium c309a.

The black cartridge was released a few weeks ago and has been filled.  It worked fine for several weeks until yesterday, even though it says ink is low.  (Because the chip is unclear, it has been filled).

Today, the printer has decided the cartridge is now exhausted and refuses to print to it.

How to make the printer not to worry that the cartridge is exhausted and print on it in any case please?

Thanks in advance

Alec

I managed to find the answer to the problem.  After I did a reset of the printer using the procedure below the printer has realized that the cartridge is full of ink and supported then print again!  Note: The restart procedure took about 10 minutes.  It is the same as you do when you turn on the printer from new.

EXECUTION of a RESET COMPLETE OF THE C309a ALL-IN-ONE:

1. unplug the power cord from the unit and wait 20 seconds.

2 press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord to the product.

3. release the buttons once the product starts.  The product will now be defined by default.

For the interest of other c309a owners who do not have the cost of their cartridges.  I didn't fill out the original cartridge.  I bought a 3rd party cartridge chip and removed the original cartridge for use with the new chip.  A quick search on google/YouTube will show how easy it is.

  • IPad does not print, low on ink message

I have iOS iPad running 7.0.3 and office jet 8500 a910 firmware lrp1fn123ar. AirPrint works ok until about a month ago, but it's not. When I print from an application such as the mail, iPad comes up with the message 'low on printer ink', followed by the message "check printer to find errors. The printer display comes with 'incompatibility of paper, paper size or type is incorrect. Printer is not low on ink and prints ok from my hp laptop wireless. Followed the guidelines of resetting hp and apple for router, printer etc., but always the same error each time. I also installed hp sprint app and same error comes.

    Hi Rowlinson,

    Thanks for the quick response.

You're right, AirPrint is not an option to change the size of the paper so the when the print job is sent to the printer using AirPrint is search paper of the size of the document request. I suspect that the printer is 8½ "x 11" LETTER size research.  If you want to be able to change the paper size you can try to use HP ePrint app.  I have included a document with HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ as well as a document on how to get started with ePrint.

For the invalid message of low ink, I have included a link to a specific document to this message when the ink is not low.

  • C309a ink did not last

I bought this c309a about 6 months ago because I needed a fax and I could use the scanner.  I have another printer for printing.  I used the fax and printed a few test pages and a photo to test.  I pulled a few months to analyze something and the low ink warning came for 2 carts (the black and magenta).

The clerk who sold the printer 6 said months ago that it would only print 10 pages before it needed ink, but I blew it away thinking it was a ploy to sell ink.  So now, after printing a few test pages, I need ink.  If the ink evaporates due to lack of use?  I rarely turn on the device unless I need to scan or fax something.

I can't wait to go out and spend money for a new shopping cart if he's going to need another after a few pages.  This unit was in a retail box and not a floor model that had been used.

Is there a procedure to reset the printer?

    Hello

Problem that happens here is that this unit is not designed to be powered from time to time. Its designed to be turned on all the time with the fax and everything. What happens when you put an example once a week, there will be a cleaning of the printheads session whenever you turn on it to protect the print head to dry out. This will deplete your inkt fast enough. Best option is to leave it on because it has a powersave still function.

  • C309a error message: remove the USB from the printer device

My C309A was connected wireless via time capsule or Airport extreme for a year to the network & work find on all Macs. There was an update of the HP software to 2.4.1 on 01/07/10 and since then it won't work. I have reset to default settings, more #/ 3 reboot and it goes through the initialization process but the network configuration wizard cannot find the wireless network and the same error message finally backup on the screen and you can't do anything unless you turn off. He can come back and do not have an error code next time, but it will not find the network either... so you can shut off again and the next time the error message appears. There has never been whatever it is connected to the USB port. I have re - installed software and still have the same problem.

Please need help or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

This printer has recently begun to send messages to my desktop (iMac OSX 10.9 running) telling me that the ink is low.  The problem is it repeatedly sends these messages and they eventually fill the office with windows message.  Closed each other individually, and it may take several minutes to close all the.  Is there a seting will disable this option?  I thought I had found one in the past, but I can't find it now.

  • Failure to supply ink message Officejet Pro 8500 has

I have a 8500 has only a few months, on an iMac.  I have frequent printing problems where the print queue shows the message "failure of ink.  When I power cycle the printer, it almost always clears the error and the print job goes by, and I can print multiple jobs immediately without problem.  So next time rather than later, I need to turn it and turn it on again.

Any idea what's going on?  Is it a faulty print head, as some research suggests?  If so, I guess I need a warranty replacement...

Oh, oops, I thought the 8500.  Too many models .

    Here are a few ideas:

    1. remove all the ink cartridges.  Raise the lever on the right side of the cart and remove the printhead.  Make sure that the electrical contacts are clean on the print head and transport.  All reinsert and try again.

    2. soft reset of the printer: turn off the power.  Turn off the power at the back of the printer for 2 minutes.  Plug in and turn on.

  • ink message

"The C4750 seems to print normally, but has a message:" "clean printer ink blots."

He wants the attention to something, but I can't find the procedure in the manual.

    Hello

The ink is contained in the print head, and it's good that he does not flee physically. My suggestion is to use this print head empty and see if you get the similar message in the next replacement of printhead.

If so, the problem is expected to be at the printer and you can call the HP support to see what they can do.

    Thank you

  • Poor ink message leads to more spending

I'm very angry with my Officejet Pro 8600. I had to make several purchases in lieu of ink because I was buying based on messages of printers on the ink levels... I replaced all my cartridges separately appear new messages. I've been buying their indivually when if I had known he had a problem with them I would have bought the pack. What a waste of my time and money. The moral of this story is to buy in bulk.

    Hello

#46 of its manual page says clearly:

Displays a screen where you can see information on the ink cartridges, including the fill levels. This icon has a red border when an ink cartridge needs attention.
NOTE: Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When you receive a low-ink warning message, consider having an available replacement cartridge to avoid possible printing delays. You don't need to replace cartridges until you are prompted to do so.

The HP printer Assistant software also explains that the ink is low.

    Kind regards.

  • HP photosmart c309a error message States to remove the usb device because it is not compatible

no previous problems with printing far... error message States to remove the usb device because it is not compatible with the hp photosmart wireless photosmart c309a c309a printer.the only thing plugged into the printer is power cord... no usb device is or was plugged so I do not understand this error message. I unplugged everything and reset the printer but the printer status is offline with the same error message.

Jorup, try to run this utility and it must diagnose the State of the printer:

  • K5400dn - Depleted ink Message

I have a K5400dn printer connected to a laptop HP Pavilion under Windows Vista Home Premium.  I have not used the printer in a month.  Before its last use, magenta, yellow and black ink cartridges (all 88 s) were all low reports, but not impoverished.  I turned on the printer today, and the magenta cartridge reports that "depleted" (the message) and I can not print.  I replaced it with a new 88XL magenta, but the message would not go far.  Just for the heck of it, I replaced the yellow and black with the cartridges HP 88XL as well, and they are now reporting 100% full.  Yet, the magenta cartridge reports depleted.

Before you go out and buy a magenta ink cartridge, does anyone have any ideas as to why this might have happened?  I never had problems of replacement cartridges on this printer before, even if I never went so long without it is used.  I wonder if perhaps the cartridge port is clogged or something with dry ink and that can cause the error to report.

    Thank you.

Well, I chatted with Ramiro in support today, and we had the problem solved.  It seems that the 'trick' is to do a hard reset.

    1. turn off the printer.

    2. unplug all cables including the power.

    3. remove all the ink cartridges.

4 press and hold the power button for 35 seconds.

    5. reconnect the power supply.

    6. switch on the back of the printer.

    7. after that happening by its initial vivos (noise stops), insert all printer cartridges and close the door.

    8. once the printer through its alive (the noise stops), hold the Power button, press the Cancel button and then release both buttons (make sure there is paper in the printer). This should print a diagnostic page.

    9 reconnect the computer.

    10. once the printer goes through its final warm-up, everything should work properly.

The hard reset seems to be the key.

    GLTA. Tom.

  • C309a error message when you try to clean the print heads

I use an iMac with Mac OS x 10.6.8 computer and I have the HP Photosmart Premium C309A installed wireless.  I have a problem with printing from the desktop to the C309A and his photo tray, that is, the dialogue continues to tell me the size of the paper or print format is not compatible, even if I used this dozens of times before.  Second, the actual printed photo has been terrible, so I chose the option to clean the print heads.  In the process, the error message appears after 20-30 seconds, saying that he could not completed, then contact HP support.  What can I do to fix this problem of double?

  • HP 8500 first: Printer is low on ink message - but I just replaced the magenta cartridge with a new one.

When I click on the icon of supply levels it shows magenta is 100%, but beneatht the screen, it says "the following ink cartridges are low on ink: Magenta.  How do I overcome this?

    Hi igloodweller,

There are some possible solutions to this problem, including performing a hard reset, clean the contacts of the cartridge and the firmware update.

  • Re: New ink, message says empty

I have the same problem with my DeskJet F4135. I have used and loved this printer for 2 years now. I changed the cartridges before printing without problem. Now, the job queue says the cartridge is empty, but there is a new party 3rd one in. Color and black lights blink and there is a constant E showing. I use Media Win98. The printer is connected properly. I can not scan to try to align the printhead... pressing the button does nothing and the lights are still flashing. I turned the printer power off and power on. Reconnect the cords. Re-sitting the cartridges.

My software never worked properly so I can't go her and select Properties. I can not find anywhere on the HP site where I can download a new software with the exception of the diagnostic software that says the printer is fine. And that my drivers and software are up-to-date.

    Help? Thank you in advance.

Third party cartridges are generally cartridges that have been used and then reused.  These will not display the correct ink levels.  In addition, the quality varies greatly and is generally poor, see the study of the logic of quality here.  For your question fresh HP cartridges should solve your problem.
