You can find the setting you need in the Performance Options.

Click on the round to Start and then right click on computer and select Properties from the context menu. In the window of the System in the left column click on Advanced system settings. In the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab, and then under Performance click settings. In the Performance Options window, on the Visual effects tab, scroll down to the bottom and clear the shadows down usage labels icon on the desktop. This should remove the shade you want.

  • Mouse randomly stops on the desktop and in Windows 7 x 64 applications.

(Clean), I installed Windows 7 64 bit on my desktop and have experienced random/the mouse cursor pauses while using the system.  The break is almost as if the system is in heavy CPU mode and then everything catches up.  It happens every minute about and lasts a second or two.

The mouse is a Logitech MX510 wired (not wireless) USB mouse.   I use the Win7 default mouse driver (as recommended on the site Web of Logitech).

I tried all of the following conditions:
-J' kept the Task Manager open to see if it seems to be all rhyme nor reason for applications that are at the top of the CPU usage when the break happens, but have not been able to discern a trend.
-J' tried several different USB ports, including the external USB hub as well as different ports on the system itself
-J' stopped my antivirus real-time protection real (Microsoft Security Essentials)
-J' used both the plain built Win7 in pilot as well as the software Logitech SetPoint (64-bit version)
-I am at my last revision of the BIOS to my desktop (Dell XPS 710)

This has no effect on the issue.

Issues happening with open applications and with nothing else running but the OS (and appropriate background apps).

Needless to say, idle random mouse is infuriating when you try to use the system for all the ideas are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

I have dealt with this issue for some time and I think I can finally say that it isn't a problem of operating system. Same behavior takes place on MAC, Linux. Also, it is not limited to USB, bluetooth mice have the same issues. What I've found, is that there is a HUGE conflict between wireless devices that share the same 2.4 Ghz band (mouse, keyboards, routers, network cards, etc.).  It is not as noticeable on other devices because there is no visual indication of the problem, but the question is there (see latency).

From what I can tell (I spit balling here) is too crowded. In simple terms, that's the radio band is too crowded. If you just pull the list of routers in many areas, you will see at least a dozen or more. Try this to humor yourself, start downloading something on a nearby wireless computer and see if the other PC mouse starts to work.

I hope that that completely on this one cause if I'm right there may be not all patches to come until someone pass the mouse a bunch of diff.

  • How can I change the color of my fonts on the desktop icons?

I need to change the color of the text on my desktop icons, how do I do this?

    Hello petejgraham,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

The color of the icon is not available for change in Windows by their design. There are however third-party applications that can allow you to have more control over development within Windows. You can search on your search engine preferred, for exactly what you are wanting to do, and it will give you options.

    Hope this helps

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • How can desktop icon font color - I change the font color of the text that describes the desktop icons?

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. How can I change the color of the font describing the desktop icons?

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. How can I change the color of the font describing the desktop icons?

    Hello

You cannot change the font color of desktop.

Because desktop wallpaper images have different colors, it is easy for the colors of unreadable fonts if they are on top of the same color in a background image to display. For example, a black font on top a dark part of the background image or a white font on a white part of a background image.

The desktop icon fonts are dynamic and show white on dark background and change in white with a shadow effect black on a light background.

    I hope this helps.

  • Share fonts with the creative team of cloud typekit

    Hello

I have a several purchased fonts with typekit account and would like to share these fonts with my CC team, so that they can use the same fonts in inDesign etc.

The typekit account is the main account of Adobe, who is the administrator for the CC team at the same time, but I can't find an option to allow the team members to use the fonts.

Y at - it an option that I forgot?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi David,

Thank you for your interest in Typekit. Every Typekit licenses account holder account to sync through their personal ID Adobe it fonts is not possible to share a single Typekit account with the rest of your office.

Each person in your office would need their own subscription to sync fonts to the desktop. The portfolio plan gives you access to all the fonts of the Typekit library and allows each person to sync up to 100 fonts at once.

    https://Typekit.com/plans

Typekit is included in a subscription cloud creative most of them, including the creative cloud for teams. If other people in your office are part of the plan of the CC team, they have access to the same Typekit portfolio plan that you do.  For starters, they will sign to Typekit with the Adobe ID they use for creative cloud:

    https://Typekit.com/login

If you have any other questions, please email [email protected] with the Adobe ID that are part of your creative cloud for the subscription of the teams, and we can take a look at your account and send you more specific information.

    I hope this helps!  Best,

  • shortcut on the desktop fonts

I want to change the font that shows on the desktop shortcuts. The default type is a white font with a black shadow and I want to change to a solid black arial font. Can anyone help?
    Thank you

    Hi Biker,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft answers Community Forums.

I don't think you can change the color of the icons on your desktop fonts.

However, you can change the font and the size of the icons on your desktop fonts

To remove the shadows for icon labels on the desktop follow these steps:
    1. click on start and in the search box of start type sysdm.cpl and press ENTER.
    2. click on the Advanced tab.
    3. under performance, click the settings button
    4. in the performance option window, select "shadows fall to use the desktop icon labels.
    5. click on apply and ok

To change the size of fonts and a style:
    1. right click on the desktop and click personalize
    2. click on the first option appearance settings
    3. click on the Advanced tab
    4. under items, click the menu drop-down and select the icons
    5. you can change the font size and style

In addition to the foregoing, you randomly try icon labels to be black. To do this, use the theme high contrast white in the appearance of window.  It affects the United white wallpaper and makes black icon labels.

    It will be useful.

    Kind regards

  • random small and/or foreign fonts in the menu windows 7

I recently bought a new PC with 64-bit Windows & Professional pre-installed. I'm tiny (#6) fonts in weird place, seemingly random. It would be included in the menus, boxes, labels, entry etc. Not all the time, you mind, but often enough that it's boring and almost impossible to read. The small size is consistent across any screen happen them to appear in other words, if the 1 article is tiny, all items are tiny. It is not just a letter or a word here and there. Sometimes, the police's foreign - do not ask me what language. Not English.

It is NOT a problem of size of Windows fonts by default, as it is random. And I tried to change my desktop theme, etc.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

  • Cannot change the font color on the desktop icons

I am running windows vista. I can't change the font as in windows xp. No matter if the background is dark or the police is always black... Help!

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in Microsoft Answers.

    I apologise for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, you cannot change the font color of desktop.

In previous versions of Windows, it did not matter what color you chose to fund policies, some would still make invisible because of the background color of a desktop wallpaper. The user was constantly moving icons around the desktop computer to another colorful area where the police could be read. This was the source of a large number of complaints from users asking for a policy that was still visible, regardless of the color that was behind the police.

However, you can change the theme and see if that helps:
