I click on VIEW all THE BOOKMARKS and then IMPORT AND BACKUP and EXPORT of BOOKMARKS to HTML. MY SAVED FILE said it is a DOCUMENT of FIREFOX, but for some reason, it shows an ICON/IMAGE for THE FILE in INTERNET EXPLORER. • How to export bookmarks in 17

    I use Firefox 17.0.1. How do I export my favorites from one computer to another?

    Thank you. Jim B.

    Thanks for the help. I had a bunch of bookmarks that I have collected over a period of time on my desk. I recently acquired a new laptop and wanted to copy on it. What I've done below worked perfectly.

    To copy bookmarks to another computer

    1. Install a flash player in computer #1
    2. In the menu bar, open the bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > export bookmarks as HTML.
    3. In the window that opens, scroll down to the flash player, then press on < record >
    4. Install flash player in computer #2.
    5. Repeat step 2 in the computer #2 except hit import bookmarks to HTML.
    6. Scroll down to the flash player and highlight [bookmarks. HTML] and click Open.
    7. Bookmarks must be imported at this point.

    All instructions and links I found were a little wordy, confusing and does a not address this issue directly.

    I thank once again. Jim B.

  • How do I sync and import/export bookmarks between different users on the same computer and two using the Firefox browser?

    All the help instructions are to import and export bookmarks bookmarks between different brands of browsers.

    Assuming that each of these different users use a different profile of Firefox. You can use the built in Fx4 Sync feature. Click on Setup Sync in the menu selections, create an account and then have each user created their profile to use this new account synchronization. It syncs more bookmarks; things like history, passwords, etc. So if it's only the bookmarks you are concerned with that, use customize only synchronize bookmarks when you set up each user. Good luck and have fun in sync.

  • Looking for a way to export bookmarks in a real folder

    I searched through google, addons, support and haven't found anything that fits. I expected to find a way to export all my favorites (especially my favorites to bookmarks bar) to a real folder (not a file). This would allow me to better manage my favorites and add a few alumni that have been saved in a structured format of literal file. What would be even better would be if you could also tell me a way to actively store my bookmarks bar bookmarks in a folder rather than a file. I apologize if this is in the wrong place, I just tried to find a way to communicate with you, and that's what I found. Thanks in advance.

    Sorry, Firefox does everything with bookmarks in single files, not folders. Favorites are stored in the file places.sqlite in your profile folder, bookmark backups are in a JSON file and when the 'export' bookmarks they are in bookmarks.html format.

    Firefox does not like IE, with a 'Favorites' folder with separate .url files in this folder.

  • Export bookmarks in csv file

    I have a script that exports bookmarks to a csv file.

    The script works really at a stage where the csv file is created and opened with the name mark book being listed in the csv file.

    All other bookmark names are not.

    Some advice would be most appreciated by modifying the script to list all bookmarks in the csv file.

    var bm = this.bookmarkRoot;

    var ibmLength = bm.children.length;

    for (var i = 0; i < ibmLength; i ++)

    BookName var = bm.children [i] .name;

    fieldValues var = [];

    fieldValues.push (bookname);

    this.createDataObject ('output.csv', fieldValues.join ());

    this.exportDataObject ({cName: 'output.csv', nLaunch: '2'});

    Thank you

    You must use media for loop for:

    var bm = this.bookmarkRoot;

    var ibmLength = bm.children.length;

    fieldValues var = [];

    for (var i = 0; i)< ibmlength;="" i++)="">

    BookName var = bm.children [i] .name;

    fieldValues.push (bookname);

    }

    this.createDataObject ('output.csv', fieldValues.join ());

    this.exportDataObject ({cName: 'output.csv', nLaunch: '2'});

  • Export/save as vector logo based in Illustrator for import in AfterEffects - fuzzy problems!

    Hi all

    I use After Effects CS4 and Illustrator CS4.

    I have a logo created in Illustrator which is an eps file.

    It was created for a small business card and is "small".  But it is entirely the vector graphics.  No bitmap as far as I can tell.  I can resize it in Illustrator all all stay crunchy.

    But when I import the file illuistrator in effects in After Effects and enlarge the image becomes "blurred". For example, I see aliasing in fonts. Almost as if I had to enlarge a jpg or a tif.   Any suggestions?  Is there a specific save as or I have to be aware of the export settings?

    For example, should export it under a different format.  I need the alpha channel.

    Thank you

    (1) where can I find the function continues rasterize in AE

    The small icon of Sun in the timeline. Toggle F4 (switches/Modes), if it is not displayed.

    (2) if I create size logo in Illustrator, then I would not enlarge the image.  But if I may, in After Effects, resize the text at a size smaller than 100 percent should I then turn on continuous rasterize?  Or continuous rasterize is necessary only when I enlarge a vector of the illustrator of MORE than 100 percent in size.

    Two different things. Œuvres continuous rasterize, because it first transforms the vector outlines, then calculates the fillings, the stroke of the brain and all that. This can happen when the revision downward and when the ladder to the top. The real benefit, something is sharper. However, often you simply use scaling with CR off, when the downward revision, which increases at the pixel level, interpolate the surrounding values. You would do that in order to keep the more uniform appearance if you use other objects bitmap such as conventional images or video sequences. It's really more a matter of what you prefer in the given situation...

  • Bookmarks have stopped working in Firefox 41.0.1

    Bookmarks have stopped working (i.e. I can't create new ones) in Fx 41.0.1. My old favorites are still there and they still work as expected. In the past, when I created a bookmark (' bookmarks > Bookmark this page') I would get a dialog box so that I could determine whenre the bookmark has been going. Now I get nothing, and I can't find any new bookmark.

    I don't know exactly when Fx itself 41.0.1 upgrade, but I first noticed this problem 2-3 days ago.

    Hi, it is possible that the update has interfered with one of your extensions - a number you need! So, try Firefox Mode safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

      then select restart with disabled modules.

    If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
      (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

    If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    If it's OK in Mode without failure, you will need to temporarily disable all of your extensions one by one until you find the culprit.

    When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • I need keystrokes to import and export bookmarks

    I'm blind and use programs output speech to run my windows 8.1 machine and of course impossible to use a traditional mouse. I arrow and tab through each accessible section of the menu of bookmarks, but also with key applications and could find no way that focuses on the key to the achievement of each task. I also tried her curse and swear!

    Hi Eggman,

    This seems incredibly frustrating. The following worked for me:

    1. launch Firefox and press Tab six times to access the bookmarks menu. Press ENTER.

    2. press Alt then arrow up once, and then the right arrow twice to reach the menu import and backup of bookmarks.

    Once you are in the menu import and backup, it's just a matter of selecting the desired option (import bookmarks HTML, export bookmarks in HTML format, or to import bookmarks from another browser).

    I hope that this will take you quite far as your program of speech output can guide you the rest of the way.

  • Export bookmarks from a Mac with broken video

    I can't export the bookmarks of the iMac broke because his video has failed, but I can access the content of its HD on the network and can see the... Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles folder. It seems empty but Get Info says that it contains 380.5 Mb.

    I would like to somehow copy and paste data on a second Mac, via the network, and then merge the two sets of bookmarks (but would settle for export bookmarks in the second Mac, then crush them with the iMac, before the re - import the exported bookmarks to create a merged file).

    All about the iMac is saved on Time Machine if this helps, but I do not use iCloud.

    Only the disk cache and other files are located in the Library/Caches/Firefox/location.

    Here you can find the main profile folder:

    • < User > /users//Library/Application Support / Firefox/Profiles/< profile >.

    In Mac OS X v10.7 and later versions, the file $HOME/Library is a hidden folder.
