External backup thumbdrive PSE 8 catalog of dvd player and usb

First post here, but have been visiting to learn more about the version windows PSE8 for the last two months.  Recently, I've converted an average size earlier version of PES in PSE8, before moving to one old computer to another.  Now that I organized PSE8 catalog and works the way I would like that, it's time to save everything related to it.  PSE8 backup in the Organizer catalog has not enlisted in action at the moment.

I use a third party software to back up files on my computer manually (don't not automatic) a reader external esata cable hd.  My photos in the catalog PSE file are all arranged in one place ideally organized on the internal drive.  My thought is that I'll use the PSE Catalog backup method in the Organizer to do an initial full and incremental backups as needed for the external hard drive.  My photo file linked to the PSE catalog file, I intend to backup in a different location with the third-party backup software.  The third-party backup software will allow me to keep the structure of the files, uncompressed and native file format, etc. for incremental backup.

I know that's redundant use of external hd space, but I am willing to trade it to keep the photo file linked to the PES in its "original" State  That being said, here's my question:

In addition, I would like to do a dvd set of backup catalog PSE (not the linked photo file) file with the method PSE Catalog backup in the Organizer, full or incremental backup with format dvd - rw media and perhaps a catalog of backup PSE for usb keys.  How PSE8 keep track of full and incremental backups to all three media.  I guess they would have to do as you want to sync properly?  Or backup catalog PSE8 there a way to identify what source is backup and where it stopped (increments)?

Any comments or advice related to the hybrid approach to backup are also welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I think not that the backup program from the PSE can do incremental backups to several different media. I think that once you do one additional media, there is nothing after backup. Instead, you can use the backup of the PSE to make an incremental backup, then WIndows command to copy this incremental backup to other locations.

Your backups performed by software third party necessary to include the file catalog. You did not say specifically that you did that, then I guess you're not, and this is why I urge you to include the catalog file in your backups.

Of course, all of these backups seem to be exaggerated. Only you can decide what level of protection desired (and how much work you are willing to put into it), but the only thing that is missing in your description is an offsite backup. All backups are useless if you have a fire or a flood. An offsite backup looks like it would be in your obsessive backup procedures.

So I'm pretty sure that these things are happening at the same time, although there are risks my trying to troubleshoot the USB ports have contributed to the failure of the microphone (internal and will not capture sound) and cd/dvd drive (not open). Perhaps? It is true that I know little about these kinds of things, but I'm much less following the indications which is what I did to try to tackle the problem of USB port, which was the first I noticed. I followed all the advice I could find online for troubleshooting when all usb ports do not respond. I used Device Manager to disable in its regular and safe mode. I also uninstalled them all in both modes (even if they reinstall until I'm able to restart). I unplugged and wait 5, 10, 15 min etc. There was a difficulty mentioned about watching the. Mine and INF files do not contain the mentioned error. I'm tempted to all my files backup and restore the computer to factory settings, especially now that the CD/DVD player and the micro does not work. This would solve the problem? If these things are related? Could even restore settings because I can't have in the cd/dvd drive? It's a dell inspiron 1721, and it crushed while you restart for almost a whole day just all the time I've began to notice all these malfunctions. I really appreciate any guidance!

Good so I solved all of these problems. I don't know what did the trick, but when I went back in the BIOS to re - activate the ports they have worked!

  • The DVD that I burned have a difference in quality in my DVD player and computer...

    This is a strange question:

When I write a DVD of still and read it in my computer it looks great.

But when I play it in my DVD player (which is kind of old) looks kind of DVD player it looks like milky and the sound is all creaking.  It seems that the DVD player is re-transcoding it on the fly.  This same Milky kind of horror.  Is this possible?

I use a video that have a data rate of 9Mbps.  But I noticed a lot of things recommend 8.  I was using just 9 because it was a larger number and still leave me without retranscoding itself.  Should I go back to 8?

I play a lot of NTSC DVDs I get from Walmart and others on this DVD player and they don't look quite so I don't think this would be a difference in settings screen?

You do not have access to the source of Hollywood film, so you have nothing to compare.  This is not true for your own productions.

Another problem hindering: given that the laptop came to served, I can't use toshiba ConfigFree to connect to wifi networks. It says the adapter is used by approx. another provider I have google-disabled windows zero config, tried everything. Today, I have connected via windows 0 config, otherwise I wouldn't be here...

DVD player... bed the DVD very well, but Ubuntu brand-new, entered for start menu, when I press on TRY ubuntu, it says that the disk is broken. (I have "BOLD" that the cd was * new *!) -mega for lack of material?

  • Re: Satellite - DVD player and the micro does not work

    Can someone help me please?

My DVD player works but it doesn't show anything on the screen, I think that it s a problem with the registry keys and another problem is that my plug in microphone works, but when I insert a micro my computer freezes for 10 minutes and then stops.

    Thank you.

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting what model of laptop you have now.
This would be really useful, you know

    > My DVD player works but it doesn't show anything on the screen, I think that it s a problem with the registry keys
I'm scared of m I m not quite sure what you mean exactly by it doesn t show anything on the screen.
You see the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager and my computer?

If the CD/DVD drive is not visible in my computer then go into Device Manager, remove the ODD (CD/DVD drive) of the list of devices.
    Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    Finally, restart the laptop.

With regard to the question of jack mic.

I don't know why your laptop crashes after plugging the microphone, but maybe you should check if it is not a software problem.
You can check if the same question would appear after the new installation of the OS.
I know it's a radical step, but it could be useful.

  • DVD player and a cd player stopped to recognize CD

About 1 week ago I did a 'disk cleanup', but now it seems that none of my optical compact disks will work. The DVD player will play music CDs and video but all my data, including the original program to XP CD, are presented as having zero byte. The properties file system indicates RAW instead of CDFS. I tried to remove the drivers and let XP automatic installation but without result. I have this cause or is it a virus? How can I fix it?

OK, I tried the sfc/scan command prompt now he got 77% and said that he could not perform the requested operation, I'll try a few more things you have posted and get back to you with the results

    Thanks for the help.

I took your advice and tried Panda antivirus so far its adware found one, an attepmts of two Trojans and blocked to high jack my wifi connection, it's much better than my old av that has not detected any of these things!

OK I just finished trying all the checks you mentioned... but nothing helps, looks like it's a hardware faliure after all, well.

    Hi DonnieS,

As you mentioned in your post, it is usually caused due to corruption in file registry of pilots. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

The known last good Configuration feature is a recovery option that you can use to start your computer by using the most recent settings that worked. The known last good Configuration feature restores all information and the driver registry settings that were in effect the last time the computer started successfully.

Refer to the following article in Microsoft Help to boot last known good configuration:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-last-known-good-configuration

    Method 2:

Try to reinstall the drivers from CD/DVD and check if it helps. This is to check if the problem is caused due to the corruption of driver's record or not.

To uninstall and reinstall the device drivers, see the following Microsoft TechNet article.

  • Satellite Pro L500-12F - problem with CD/DVD player and screen

    Hello...

I have a few questions on my laptop...

    1. is it normal that the DVD rom on some DVD/CD it is very noisy and vibrates a lot, spesialy on older CD

    2. the lid of my laptop when I close its kinda not in harmony with the rest of the pc it is not fully aligned, but it's a little difficult to see wait when you look for it... but its good on and what is not lost or anything just not setting for the "body" of the laptop

    3. the cover still once, under the screen where the cover is mounted on the 'body' off the laptop so... It is not glued to the screen as the rest of the rolled edges it is right next to him that you can drag into it, so you can see the wires enter the screen etc.
    is this normal?

    -Thank you

    Hey Pedersen37,

    (1) maybe your old CD's doesn't work correctly. What happens if you try the same disks in another computer?

Regarding your display/cover problem if you mean that you can see the cables that they go into the screen I can see it on my laptop. Normally, all the cables are invisible and under the plastic.
He s strange to say something on the subject but maybe a lid plastic isn't installed correctly or a screw is missing

If you think that something isn't normal, you should contact your authorized service provider. They can check the laptop.

  • Equium - new DVD player and lost product key

I'm helping a friend who broke the HDD, DVD and ripped out the product key.

Have some question about my options.

Purchase a new 2.5 "SATA drive that I guess will work without problem.

I also need to replace the DVD. I noticed in a thread in this forum that correspond to a Sony 5540. This would be so. DVD Sony 7590.
    http://www.Sony-Optiarc.EU/products/dvddrivesnotebooks/ad7590a.html

As the sticker on the bottom of the laptop, the one with the product key XP Mediacenter is ripped off.
If I'd get the above and use that was provided with the laptop recovery disks.

It will ask for the product key?

Is anyway to get a product key for Toshiba Support?

    Thanks in advance.

What satellite notebook you have exactly?
When you replace the disk, I just want but which is listed in the user manual. This disc that you want to appear in the manual? Check it!

As far as I know the Toshiba recovery disc doesn t ask for a product key, so it should not be a problem to use it.
You can get a new product key, but I think it will cost something and it s not for free.

    Good luck!
