external usb hub not detected in vista sp2-hub external power supply a

I can plug my external hard drive directly into my laptop and it is detected instantly.  If I use the external hub, the drive is not detected.  all the drivers are updated, no conflict of resources in "not advanced" deactivation of controller caused improved host machine to freeze and had to do a restore.  There are many applications of this kind.  Please note that the procedures on Hub controllers to uninstall gave results little according to the correspondence of blog.  No matter what other tactics very appreciated.  will try to uninstall, but skeptical.  Intelligence is in the hub of USB 2.0 on the laptop, as evidenced by its ability to detect.  He can not just extend to the external usb hub.  Please advise, it defies logic.

Hello

The player and the hub are not compatible I've seen. Maybe try a different HUB.
(Is the HUB you use powered, otherwise this could also be a possible cause of wiring).

I hope this helps.

So, at a given time, my Vista stopped detecting my CD-ROM drive.  It is not visible in the Device Manager and there is no obvious errors.

The drive is powered and works.  I can boot with success.  However, no chance for that it works under Vista.

I don't know when that happened, I do not often use the drive.

    Fixed.

I did some surfing in the BIOS and saw a corruption on the screen of boot device control, so I lowered the score of the last 47 BIOS, at 46.

After that, Vista found the disk without problem... I guess I'm lucky that the PC still worked.  Quality control anyone?

  • 1394 Firewire sound card is unable to be detected under Vista SP2

    Hello

I have an external sound card that connects to my laptop via Firewire 1394.  This device is not detected at all Windows Vista SP2.  When I plug the unit in and the power it upward, with external power supply because it's a 4 pin Cable, Windows does not show the device in the Device Manager.

The 1394 controller is displayed in Device Manager correctly.

I should add that I tested this sound card with my work laptop and it was found immediately under Windows XP.  Therefore, the cable and the sound card work.

I tried the following without result:

    • Uninstalling the 1394 controller and let Windows find.
    • Definition of the registry key for the controller: EnumerateInactiveLink

    None of them worked.

  • HP 8200 elite CMT: can I use an external power supply for AMD Radeon HD graphics card 7770?

I have HP 8200 elite CMT CPU in which 320 watts PSU is installed. I want to use AMD Radeon HD 7770 requiring more power (minimum 400 watts power supply) for maximum performance. But the fact is, the higher Watt PSU is not available for my cpu because its cables do not match that. So I ask if I can use the external power supply to power my GPU instead of the CPU power. Will be this harm to my PC?

Thank you for the information, @haseebkhan7310.

I'm not a fan of using a separate power supply to power a video card.  It can cause problems.  However, here is a video that will show you how it can be done:

  • No internet with an external power supply on L20

Can connect to internet when my L20 runs own PSU, but when the battery level is low and demand for external power, internet connection is lost when my power adaptor attatched. In addition, internet does not connect if the external power supply is used from the outset. Disconnect the external power supply and run on battery, the internet connection can now take place! All thoughts.

Try to check the polarity of the DC power coming out of the AC adapter is correct. In fact, make sure you have any dc voltage coming out of the adapter.

I don't really understand what you describe. Do you really mean that ONLY the internet connection is affected. Everything works well on outlet. The power lights and disc are all about; the battery OK charges; the screen is lit; the fan is running and that these things will continue to work if you then removed the battery? (Except for the battery charge of course).

  • Propeller works only with external power supply

    Thank you

Thanks for the reply, I called Lenovo technical support and they thought it was the motherboard, technology has changed and he made similarly he suspected a defective battery, it replaces and it works fine now, so it was a defective battery on the Tablet, was not getting charged, Lenovo technical support was great, fast and very apologetic the laptop so far, thank you for all the help that love.

    Hi Hans.

See is one the PrecisionHDMC camera User Guide on pg 9, 2.5 x camera has a power connector as well as the 4 x and 12 x cameras of.  It does not say that the power connector is for future use, so it doesn't seem like it supports an external power supply at the moment.

  • Old hard drive PS3 by USB box not detected by Windows Vista

    Hello

I recently updated my old HD PS3 40 GB with a 500 GB one. Since then, I bought an external HD for my old HD, in the hope that I could use it as a hard drive for some files I have. However, I encountered a big problem - Windows Vista does not detect the HD.

So far I read a lot of posts on the internet with people having similar problems, but with no definitive answer, so I hoped to get :)

So far, I've tested the speaker on both the different 40 GB and new 500 GB PS3 in HD, as well as 2-3 computers. Nor are detected by windows... both have the power (green light is on, and I can hear the disc rotation), but are not detected on the management of the devices or programs in 3rd (SwissKnife). As far as the computer is concerned, nothing is connected.

Thinking that it was probably a hardware problem, I whipped my laptop HD out and connected on a separate computer and it worked without me even having to he invites. This leads me to believe that the device works perfectly and its something about the PS3 HD, who doesn't like Windows.

The only thing I have not tried is put my old hard drive to the PS3 in the PS3 and reformatting. The only reason for this is a screw on the case of the PS3 has decided, that he's not budging despite all my efforts. Its now 12:45 and I'm too tired to fight with 1 screw more! :) I really don't know not how tabling in so well, 3 others went fine and I deliberately don't screw them in tight with the new HD after I read about the problems people have had by removing the screws.

Someone at - it suggestions at all? How to get Windows to recognize that this has something plugged in, on how to remove that last screw embarrassing! Whatever that either would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Check if the drive works very well with the game station.
Chipset driver update and see if that makes a difference.

Check if the HARD drive is detected in the Device Manager or disk management tool.
    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. from the list of issues, expand disk drives and check the sub for its detection.
    1. Click Start, type diskmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. check if the HARD drive is detected.

If the HARD drive is not detected, try the next step.
Step 1: Connect the HARD drive to the computer and find the hardware check if it detects. To do this, try the following steps.
    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. from the list of items, click drives.
    3. click on the Action menu, and then click check for material changes.
    4. follow the wizard to complete the task.
    5. If there is no progress, then click the Action menu and click Add legacy hardware to install the device.

Post back with the results, so that we can help you further.

    Hello

Is his as well. Especially if you have the problem of speed with a single
    USB 2.0 device is attached.

Well, if you want to try a upgrade/repair on-site Installation and then a complete cleaning
    Windows Setup.

You can use another DVD that aren't copy protected but you you need to own
Product key. It must be the same version 32 or 64 BIT Vista OEM. Also the system
machine to usually sell the cheap disk since you already own Windows. Don't forget to make a
good backup or 3 (security in redundancy).

    On-site upgrade

In no joy try a clean install or restore the system back to out of the box state (both delete
    all programs and data).

  • USB connection not detected for Samsung Fascinate

I have a smart phone Samsung Fascinate 1500.  When I connect it by USB to my computer, the computer no longer detects it as a media device or mass storage mode (although it worked fine the first few times).  The phone also does not detect the connection and simply seeks to charge the battery.  I downloaded the latest drivers and tried allowing pop ups without success.  Any ideas?  I cannot download my music, and it's a lot of time to transfer photos by other means..., including that I had to buy a SD card adapter.

The USB port works with other devices.  I don't think that the USB cord to my phone is the problem, as others have shared this problem in other forums.  Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi Lin,

    1. have you tried to connect the phone to another computer?

    2. have you made any recent changes of hardware software on the computer?

Test the device on another computer. Additionally, make sure that the software provided with the Samsung phone is updated.

  • Acquisition of data USB-6008 not detected in LabVIEW

    Hello

So my USB-6008 DAQ hardware is not available when I do a new task DAQmx (or open the DAQ assistant).

As you can see on the image below it is detected by the solution of measurement and Automation Explorer. I don't know how to test with visa test Panel.
