EZXS55W bad ports?

Im having trouble with two ports on my ezxs55w. Middle East - the two ports, 2, 3 do not work. Port number one and four seems to work well. When I plug a computer in #1 it works fine, then two or three, I get limited or is connectivity says im connected but only receive a self assigned ip address and cannot ping anything. Anyone have any idea whats going on? tested with four computers, each with their own cable and all are on #1, but are not on 2 or 3

Thanks in advance

The switch is connected to your modem or router?

Don't forget that this is just a switch and provide internet access to a single computer at any time if your switch is connected to a modem...

However, if your switch is connected to a router then you can access the internet on several computers at the same time...

-Use the same computer and the same cable, disconnect the cable from the port 1 and connect it to port 2/3, let the computer reboot, unplug the cable from the switch, wait 1 minute and re - connect the power cable and see if you can access the Internet... If Yes, then your switch is functional...

No not the best of maximum resolution HDMI 2.0 - can go to 2K.  DisplayPost 1.2 is the best maximum resolution - 4K!

  • DataGuard problems, bad to the log_archive_dest_2 port configuration

Hello! Thank you all in advance for your help and sorry for my English, I will try to explain as best as possible.

    We have a dataguard.

It has two headphones, the ports are 1534 and 1544, but... someone changed their 1535 once there is and now I had to re-set up everything again.

The thing is log_archive_dest_2 at the elementary level is wrong, because it points to instead of 1534-1535. I tried to edit init.ora and restart the instance but it always points to 1535 again.

I don't know if this setting depends on the other, or there is a hidden configuration, I don't see

I have recreated the password file in the primary and copy it to the secondary, after that I restarted both cases, but nothing

No sense to me. Do you have a rebuild on my system and was not able to reproduce.

At this point, I would like to grep for the problem (change of wider path if necessary)

    grep 1535 -R /opt/oracle/*

I hate when it makes no sense. There must be somewhere.

I was thinking about it more. If you have a data broker, they can change the database settings. Any change of this?

I see this in your settings file that supports this theory

  • Printer port configured incorrectly, how to remove or reconfigure

I am setting up a new system of Windows 7 Home premium and made a mistake when setting up the new machine to access one of my existing home network printers. I have incorrectly set up a new printer port and need to know how to remove it.  When I try to install the network printer now (rightly), the wizard tells me to choose another port name because what I used already exists.  The port name is unique to my existing print server (DLink DP-G321) and should be used for this printer.  Can someone tell me how to remove the bad port configuration, or get the wizard you want to replace it?  I suspect that this may require a registry hack, which I have no problem to try with the correct instructions.  Thank you

  • Quick clone R12 - Port number

    Hi all

I placed in the pool of bad port on the database layer and now my application layer will not connect to my database, can I stop the database and listener and adcfgclone.pl dbTier more to get the correct port pool, or I have to start the cloning process? What is the right way to do this?

    Please notify.

    Thank you.

If you want to fix the basin of the port on the node of the target database, you must do the following:

-Preclone run on the database layer node target

-Stop the database and listener data on the target database node

-Postclone run on the node of the target database layer and the use of the correct pool

  • Uninstalling Time Capsule airport

Hello... I installed my Airport Time Capsule... .but I plugged on the modem with the bad port... the LAN port instead of the WAN port and I also didn t choose to use the option of passoword for guests... Does anyone know how to UNINTALL the airport to then install it properly? Thank you

Do a factory reset and start again.

Turning off the TC... That is, remove the power supply cord or the power at the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds... Hold the reset button... be nice... Turn on always even now in reset... and keep holding in for another 10 seconds. You may need assistance because it is difficult to hold in reset and power on. It will show the success quickly flashing led front. Release reset... and wait a few minutes for the TC to reset and return with the factory settings. If the front LED flashes quickly you missed and simply try again. The reset is quite fragile in these... Press the key while it is just click away and not more... I've seen people bend lever or even break. I use a toothpick as a tool.

NB. None of your files on the hard drive of the TC are removed... This simply clears the settings of the router of the TC.

  • HP Pavilion: Nothing but problems in the months since I changed to win 10

I have about a four year old computer that was drawing up along very well under Win 7. Since evolution to win 10, nothing went right. Spoil, to correct and then ruin once again.  For example, for most of the time since the change, my #2 monitor has gone green. A week ago, he corrected himself and was back as it should. Today, it is green again.

I got no sound since the change, even if the help desk assured me that all was well with my Boston speakers. Thinking that the speakers might be defective, I bought a cheap set of Logitech speaker so see if they had a job. I am told that they are not connected even though I checked all the plugs and the light is on.

Last week, my office has migrated to monitor #2 and I couldn't find a way to get it back. After several reboots, it returned to its normal position, but all my icons were scattered and I had to reorganize their. When I Hibernate and then turn it back on the computer, I get a black screen with the blue window but never get the spinning wheel. I have to make a difficult outing so he could restart.  I get a message that DVI and VGA have no signal.

I can't wait to play the card of geratric but, people, I'm longer than dirt and I don't need this frustration. I spend every spare minute in forums and reading and read without result. I am at a loss to know what to do now. I'm even not sure I write in the right forum. I started thinking that the best solution would be to get a new computer running Windows 7. I don't want to take this one back to 7 because I think that 10 screwed up too much. I know I'm evacuation but no help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the information, @bargrid.

I can understand your frustrations.  I was in your position several times in my 30 years of use and runs on computers.  In fact, I'm here to help you cause to help I got here when I was at the point of throwing my new HP computer at the door.

Here is the manual for the speakers:

    http://EC1.images-Amazon.com/Media/I3D/01/A/man-migrate/MANUAL000010448.PDF

In Page 3, it shows how to connect to them.  Since you have only a CAP, I suggest plug into each of the ports on the back of your computer.  Keep the volume down, so if there is a noise when it is connected to a bad port, it won't scare you or blow the speakers.  As I said, I have two cards for my speakers.  I had to do exactly when I plugged in to my new loan from HP computer.  Let me know what happens.

  • Compaq 500 b (VS695UT): missing on Windows 10 DVD player

I've had previously upgraded my desktop COMPAQ 500 b Windows 7 Pro computer to Windows 10 (free from Microsoft) and enjoyed.  Sometimes I watch DVD movies on the computer.  Recently, the DVD drive (drive DVD HP, model TS-H653) disappeared from my list of available drives.  I first thought that the drive has died and replaced by a new DVD SATA drive. (I kept the original drive) Needless to say that the new drive is not seen either.  I've checked all my connections cable without change. I did research page to download driver of H - P with no luck.  Any suggestions?

Never mind.  The problem has been resolved.  It was a problem of double.

The original drive has gone wrong, and SATA3 port on the motherboard stopped working.

I plugged in a new DVD player with no change in symptoms (apparently dead).

I felt that it was a new DVD player, so I plugged on another SATA port on my motherboard, and the computer she recognized immediately.

Then, I placed the reader to original DVD in the computer, packaged for the replacement, buttoned-up DVD player my computer and got back to work, only to find that the computer no longer recognizes the DVD player again.

I knew I had to see that it works, so I had to shut down the computer and replace the original DVD drive (AGAIN).  This time; I left the case open until I have confirmed that the new drive worked, and the original SATA3 port on the motherboard was actually dead.

End result is a bad DVD player and a bad port SATA3 on the motherboard.

  • Stuttering on HDMI

Have a HP 250 G1. When it is connected to HDMI, playback starts stuttering to the point where the laptop should be repeated.

This happens after an hour or so... everytime. I tried different cables. The port would be defective?

The HP support center will replace the laptop?

    RickatHP

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

Not sure what HP will do unless you ask HP - and it's not HP Technical Support.

Assuming that you already have the following:

    • All the drivers are up to date - reference: laptop HP 250 G1
    • BIOS, if any, is up to date
    • Laptop is in good condition - in other words, it has been unused as a seat cushion, he remained cool and you provide good maintenance (clean disk, in good condition, all the basics of programs)
    • Windows updates are up-to-date

If you call HP Technical Support, technology may want to run tests (from a distance), you might check / update the drivers, you may be asked to take / send in the laptop for repair.

Go trough the process to know what to do.

Yes, it could be a bad port.  Could be a bad driver.

No, the repairer is not likely to give you a replacement book.  It does not sound like that question type of catastrophic.

According to the underlying cause of the problem and the determination made by HP - laptop can be repaired, updated or somehow made better than now.

  • Network with Airport Extreme problems connected to the Linksys switch

I have a wired network in my house.  It has the following configuration: Modem base station Airport Extreme for Linksys switch and then all wired connections.  It is in a wiring closet in a room upstairs.  I have 2 other extremes from the airport, to spread out of the range, but they are currently disabled and disconnected from the network until I have found why I get auto ip address on several of my wired connections.  I have reset the modem, EI and switch.  More wired connections seem to be working very well, but there are 4 or 5 who say that the ethernet cable is connected, but it can not connect to the internet because of a self assigned ip address.  I thought maybe it was a problem with the port of the switch, but when I plugged a cable work in, everything worked again.  Thus, for example, on my iMac, in a study downstairs, I had plugged on the ethernet port in the wall.  He let me only to connect to wireless internet.  He says the ethernet connection had a self assigned ip.  I went upstairs and took the cable from the switch and directly connected to the Airport Extreme, and then connect to this iMac worked fine via ethernet.  So I'm really confused as to why it does not work when it is connected to the switch.  Why are only a few connections ethernet works and others not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why are only a few connections ethernet works and others not?

Because either you have a bad port on the switch (unlikely, but possible) or a wired Ethernet connection bad, or maybe both ends of several of the Ethernet cables (99% of the time, the problem is in the wiring or connectors Ethernet... not the switch).

But, we must test the switch first and then work from there.  It might be much easier to call a guy from wire or the custom installation specialist to do all this for you, but if you want to give it a try... Here's how.  It is not difficult at this stage, just take some time.

Unplug the switch except the Ethernet cable that connects the AirPort Extreme to each cable Ethernet switch.  Label each Ethernet cable with a number or a letter you can install the wires in their original position on the switch.

Use of a laptop computer with an Ethernet port and a short, spare Ethernet cable... virtually no matter what length will make... and turn off the WiFi on the laptop so it should use Ethernet to connect to Internet.

Test an Ethernet port on the switch with the laptop and the Ethernet cable to make sure that you have get a good Internet connection. If you do so, test the next port of the switch. Continue until all ports of the switch has been tested.  With luck, they will all work.

If this is the case... which is likely... then you know that the Ethernet switch is working properly.

Now things get a little more complicated. Ideally, you have documentation that tells you what Ethernet cable goes to what area of the House. If you don't, just connect the Ethernet cable to the switch... then go to the other end of the Ethernet cable to the wall outlet and connect the computer laptop and short Ethernet cable to the wall socket.

If you have no documentation to indicate where each cable goes, so go ahead and connect all the Ethernet cables to the switch.

Still, make sure that the wireless is disabled on the laptop so that it can only connect to the Internet via an Ethernet connection. Check if you can get a good connection Internet in this way. If you can, then you know that the individual Ethernet cable and the Ethernet port on the wall are working properly...

Test other areas one at a time the same way.  You are very likely going to find Ethernet cables or a wall of ports that do not work properly. The hardest part here is that you... or a wire guy... will have to check the Ethernet cable at both ends to ensure that the Ethernet Sockets have been installed correctly.  It is not easy. The wires are tiny and its easy to get involved.  Installation of new Ethernet cards, it's really a job for an experienced guy who will provide hopefully a cable Tester well when it comes.

Some Ethernet will certainly be replaced.  In rare cases, the cable itself has a break somewhere... and it's not easy to fix something like this, without pulling new cable... that would not be possible according to the House provision.

When you know that all ports on the switch are working and all ports Ethernet wall around the House work... so... we can get the network set in place and working properly.

  • Output of the front speaker left is almost a whisper

    Hello

I had a Pavilion m9300t for over 3 years and I have always used a set of two simple speakers, attached to the headphone output on the front panels until recently when it is installed a system of 5.1 rear speakers using 3 ports on the Panel to find that the release of the "out front" seems to be the reason for all my troubles. I tried to go around the speakers and even checked the speakers on a machine and all seems to work well. "So I thought that all output ports provide stereo output, except the lime' out front speaker" on the rear panel. I have checked the drivers and all settings in Realtek HD Audio Manager and ran the tests of speaker and even used disseminators of media, but the front speaker will provide only a weak sound. Does this mean that his is a hardware problem and if she makes a bad port what are my options?

    Thank you

    MODI

    Hi Modi,

Is the speaker that branch to the green port 'active '? I mean,'s done it this speaker has its own power supply plug or is connected to other stakeholders who have their own energy source? The green port on the PC is not "powered" so it only will provide a weak signal and expect the speakers to control the overall volume.

Something else to try, if you unplug all the other actors and simply plug the speakers into the green port, is the change in sound level? Alternatively, if you connect the headphones to the green port, you get audio normal?

This will help you determine whether or not the hardware works.

Another thing to try if you don't have it already: when you updated the audio driver, do you have the driver directly from Realtek, or did you use the HP driver? If you haven't tried the latest driver from Realtek, you can do it. Here is a link to download Realtek: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/

Just select "High Definition Audio Codecs", accept the agreement and then download and install the driver for your operating system.

I hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

  • Pilot network for M58 - 9960

Today, I have acquired a 9960 M58 quad core. It doesn't have an operating system, but it has a license for Windows 7. The installation went well except that the ethernet port is not recognized after I downloaded and installed the drivers from Lenovo. The report of pilots as being installed correctly, but Device Manager reports error 10, what the device fails to start.

The built-in Ethernet port is enabled in the BIOS. The drivers for the chipset are installed. The computer acts as if the Ethernet port is bad, but the computer was extracted by a very competent repairer. Of course, it could be bad, but this is my last option.

Am I missing? Is there something special about this computer or Windows 7? Uninstalling the driver and restarting the computer caused the driver to be reinstalled, but the port still does not work. The lights do not light when the network cable is connect. (The network cable works because I connected to another computer. In addition, I connected this cable to another computer, and he worked there.)

I installed Windows on at least 1000 computers literally. Obviously, acting like a bad port. However, sometimes things change (for example the AHCI), so I hope someone can tell me what could be the problem.

If the ethernet connection is activated, and the LED lights when you plug something in, then it is most likely have some hardware problems.

  • Laptop won't turn on. HP Compaq 8710p.

    HP Compaq 8710p.

Only the charging light blinks when I press the power button.

It was working fine earlier today.

Then, while the machine was off (still connected), the cord fell while turning around the machine.

Once the cable was reconnected, and the power button, you get what was described earlier.

    We charge for awhile now.

  • HP laserjet 1300: after updated W10 at another level cannot print locally on connected LaserJet 1300 preinstalled

Recencly upgraded to Windows 10 year old PC.  The printer, usb, is a HP Laserjet 1300 and the upgrade found a driver and local printing works very well.  I have a home network that an old XP pc is connected to and used the 1300 without problem.  Upgrading to W10 came from W8.1 and whatever the driver he had allowed things to work.  On the XP poster print spooler and the error now.  HP Print and Scan Doctor run on the W10 pc indicates bad port, but it cannot be changed.   The port on the pc W10 is DOT4_001.  Doctor print run on the XP indicates that the printer is indeed available, but printing fails.  The W10 pc is W10 home so I can do the print management service to see what real driver has been installed.   The print doctor also pointed out that the full usb support is not installed.  I don't know what it is and clicking on get the software takes me to the center of hp supporot.

I would appreciate anyones ideas on how to solve this problem.

I got the printer work from XP to pc W10.

The upgrade of the W10 has not created a home network as what was there in W8.1.  I had created and made there several days that the residential group names are the same, etc.  Even without the network in place, worked a ping from one to the other.

I had old information to work for nearly 30 years as a programmer for fortune 500 company system and that he was referring to XP and more recent Windows system, demanding that internal guest account is active.

W10 upgrade is not the active guest account.  I lit with a guest net user / activate: Yes and I tried printing and the bingo it worked!
