It would allow me to add additional disks to the cluster vsan because of a vsan expired license key error. I found this rather curious because everything is the oldest in its facility in four hours.

  If you help me to find a way to get the vsan on trial license once again, would be great.

  After having play with VCenter apparatus and ESXi hosts, looks like it was a problem syncing after all. Not so much the time set in the BIOS, as well the ignition when the VCenter unit is initially configured.

• 7 fusion vs Fusion 8

  I use Fusion since version 3 and am currently using Fusion 7 with Windows VM of Win 95 to Win 10 (an upgrade and Windows Insider). There is also the OS X and Linux VM.

  I bought the upgrade of Fusion 8 when selling short when it came out, but have not yet installed on my drive of production. The v7 and v8 are later (and probably the last) updates and both are Pro versions. The host is a Mac Pro with 32 GB of RAM, six cores and 12 threads; the production unit is running Yosemite and test drive is El Capitan, on which v7 seemed to work very well before trying to upgrade to v8. I followed the posts on v8 problems since it was introduced and not wanting to break a working system. Although v7 on a SSD, v8 test facility is on a disk external drive is not really possible to make a comparison of reasonable speed.

  Because I suspect that most of the Forum members have left v7 to v8, I ask you if you have seen any real benefit of the passage.   Hi bdamian, when provionsing machines you can use the MachineProvisioned workflow step. Here, you can do this either synchronously or asynchronously. In this case you would probably start an another WF of this step and have a logic of waiting instead of query the status of the machine. How to do this depend on the type of facility and if you have external deployment systems (such as SCCM, puppets) do sth in the background. So you may have to synchronize with these systems to know when a machine is really _ready_ instead of just turned on and running. Best regards, Ronald

• Scripts for a novice - running DPM scripts on a calendar

  I am woking on a new facility with 5.1 ESXi and VCenter 5 running on the virtula machine.  I would use DPM but bring the cluster to pior fully operational at the beginning of the working day.  I found the reference for scripts that I downloaded.

  What I can't understand is to run at a scheduled time.  Most of my research seems to point to the installation and configuration of vMA in order to have the ability to import these scripts and install them on a cron job.

  This seems to be a bit of work to turn the 2 scripts.  My question is "is there another way to run scripts against the vCenter device without get job vMA?  If so, how? »
