Fan speed running higher than normal even if my P.C. Khvan is minimal

The fan speed will not stop running

Hello

Make sure that the system has adequate ventilation. If a PC off all power and remove and reinstall the cards.

to remove dust and lint. A laptop to clean the vents is all you can do without technical support.

Check with the manufacturer Support system and forums (if any) that there are known problems.

  • Screen display - higher than normal desktop icons

Somehow my settings of the screen has changed.  When I started, the desktop icons were larger than normal.  Go to e-mail, Internet... each screen display was became wider.  Circles now resembled ovals.  I have to scroll to the right to see what is out there.  How can I change the display of the screen so that I can see the entire screen without scrolling to the right?

    Hello

There are a few things you can try:

    Change the resolution of the screen;

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

If that fixed it, go to the website of your computer manufacturer > drivers download Section > then key in your computer model number > find your operating system > find two graphics / video or from the Chipset drivers and download and install.

Then try to change the screen resolution.

Or do a system restore to before that happened.

  • Constantly higher than 50% even when idle CPU usage. NT kernel & system?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help? I built my own computer and after I installed Windows 7 and only the drivers for the respective hardware, my CPU usage is consistently above 50% and jumped off from top down to anywhere between 50 to 100%?

I have a motherboard Biostar GF82000E with an AMD Athlon II Quad processor and also a Nvidia 9400 GT graphics card. For which I have all drivers up to date.

I tried to install Windows 7 completely fresh with nothing installed, I ran Task Manager, immediately, and you can see from the picture what I mean...

    Hi all

I have a new server with a weird behavior, which I'm not sure.

Once we started the server, the fan speed is high then seattled to about 8000 RPM. Is this normal for R230 fan at its idle speed?

We tried to install VMWare ESXi, but server will no response. We also tried installing normal Windows 7 as a test if it's a server problem or problem installing ESXi USB, same no response to the initial installation screen.

  • Everything on my computer screen appear larger than normal

I unplugged my computer about 4 days ago to take a trip with me. When I restarted my computer all on my computer including my background, websites, icons, aim, etc. displayed more large and more distortion than normal. The zoom level is 100% normal. This has happened in the past, but once I restarted my computer, my screen is always returned to normal. I would like to know how to fix this because I restarted my computer about 3 or 4 times, but everything that appears on my screen is still distorted and higher than normal.

    Hello Swils117,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

If you haven't tried these steps, that give a try.

1 / right click on a free part of the Office

2 / in the drop down menu, click the view option

3 / according to the context menu, click one of the following options:

    • Large icons
    • Medium-sized icons
    • Classic icons

The classic icons option will reduce the size the most.  Please let me know if that solved your problem or if you are still having problems.

  • All of a sudden all applications based on slow internet; High fan speed

All functions based on the web significantly slow down on Sunday, July 24

    • I mean by 'slow' 20 to 100 seconds just to connect (once connected, the load times are normal, even fast)
    • hit the apps: Safari, Firefox, iTunes, App Store, etc.
    • This happens on all wifi networks that I use (each with its own ISP, speeds ranging from 25mbps/10 Mbps up to 100 + Mbps / 100 + Mbit/s)
    • whenever I use the Web apps, the fan starts up and runs at full or almost full speed (if the apps are simply open, but not actively the connection/reconnection to what anyone, while the fans slow down.)

When you use the web-based applications, the following processes running around or above 100% of the CPU (in order of frequency):

    • Networking of Safari
    • acwebsecagent
    • nsurlsessiond
    • syncdefaultsd
    • cloudd

None of the following helped (I tested after each change):

The problem goes away when I...

    1. Run the Safari in a guest user
    2. Run the Safari of the recovery mode

    Other info:

    Mid-2013 Macbook Air

    OS X 10.11.6

It is my third day of troubleshooting. I really need to get back to work (but it takes Web apps to work). I'm desperate.

Turn off and unplug all external devices

    reset the SMC

    then start in safe mode

  • ACPI fan constantly runs at full speed on Toshiba Satellite L505

    Hello world!
I recently bought a new laptop (Toshiba L505)... everything works fine except the fan under Linux. It works constantly to max speed and I must say it's quite annoying. I know it is better to have a fan that runs continuously rather than one that is not light up at all, but I really want it to solve...
See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/321578 for more information on this bug...
I think that it is related to ACPI but I tried everything almos (acpi_osi change, acpi = force and other hack kernel). But whatever the OSs I throw (except Windows 7), it is always at full speed (I tried the Chakra (Archlinux), Ubuntu, and PC - BSD). With Ubuntu, I tried the last kernel 2.6.32rc7...

    Thanks ;)

    Hi sunrider.

to understand why your machine is constantly cooling at high speed, go deep into the linux stuff...

    * but you can try "acpi = off" * instead of 'force' to give the os the ability to manage the material at the level of the api...
Maybe there is an updated driver/module implemented who knows your chipset...

If you "force" the kernel to manage equipment of this 'acpi' way and no module is there to do the work... you see it is a bad thing...

or you are a geek and program a module that manages your chipset to acpi... If yes pls share it with the community...
of course I'm kidding, writing of modules is not for me...

  • Said fan speed its 0% is this normal?

    does the fan on my

is the fan on my laptop always has to run or it while im using it? because it shows the speed of the fan its 0% what can I do?

    Hi lilieg,

When the fan is running at less than 20%, you will receive a notification to 0% instead of the actual percentage. This is normal behavior.

  • Pavilion 7000: Computer freeze once the fan CPU runs at max speed

    Product name: Pavilion 7000

    Product model: 7 p - 1090d

    Product no.: QP177AA #UUF

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit version.

Computer blocks once the fan CPU runs at max speed. Initially, the computer would occationally freeze after waking up from sleep mode (CPU fan would be occaionally operate at full speed & freeze the system).  Now cannot load even in windows. It freezes at the configuration of the BIOS once the fan turns at speed computer crashes if the CPU fan run at maximum speed wherever you are!

    1. I did the cleanning & lubrication & even take the battery to reset the Bios but no success too.

(Before I can reset the Bios it will run normally.)

    2. remove all USB devices except the mouse & keyboard

    3. detach & attach Ram memory & graphic card

I saw a ROM_Recovery shunt on the motherboard label. Must I do? or can someone help, please?

I sent to the center of HP service after a week, the service staff telling me that he was unable to go bad because my motherboard is the American version, which I have no idea what it means (my PC was purchased locally) but to bring him back.

I solved my problem of tried to detach the Rams (2 actuators) & install only 1 on an another RAM slot first. This works. Then installed the second RAM on an another slot also without no problems so far.

I have an old HP Office also having the location of the faulty RAM & also had replaced graphics card but it raise a peep sound error which easier to identify.

I agree with you more HP, hardware problem is due to RAM or video card. Thanks anyway

  • What iMac fan speed should be run to?

I had an SSD on my iMac today and when I turned on the fan was running at speed over 4000 RPM. I did some research and found this seems to be common and I installed an app called SSD fan control that works very well. Currently, the fan runs at about 1500 rpm on SMART control. I just wanted to know if this is where it should be normally? Thank you!

I think that the idle speed for this model is 2 000 rpm. You can solve it without depending on a third-party software by purchasing a special OWC connector that allows the disk temperature sensor work properly.

  • Satellite A300 - fan always runs at full speed after full stop

When I stop the Satellite A300, the fan always runs at full speed.

    Hello

What? Cooling modules run, even in this case, the cell phone is off?
Press the power button for at least 4 seconds, then the laptop must be turned off.
Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery
Wait about an hour and reconnect the battery and AC adapter
Then switch on the device after a certain time of use of turning the unit off and check if the cooling modules would stop too

  • Y460P: Fan permanently on high speed

Previously, the fan would be completely silent, unless I ran an intensive application (such as a game). Now, whenever I start windows, the fan starts at the speed higher within a few minutes even if I am not under what whether intensive. He is strong enough to create a persistent noise.

I removed back panel so that I could clean the dust on the grids that could have blocked the entrance to the fan, but I don't see any difference subsequently, the fan is still noisy after a start.

Laptop feels cold to the touch as well.

Any ideas? The laptop has is no longer guaranteed.

I've updated to the latest version of the BIOS, and it seems to be much better. The fan actually now lower in volume. I guess it was the BIOS settings that control the fan speed...

  • Satellite Pro L series: fan always running even at IDLE when LAN is on

the fan always running even at IDLE when lan is on
Thanks for any help, that can stop the fan...

    Just see your questions:
What model of laptop do you have exactly?
    What system do you use?
What exactly do you mean by power of LAN?

I can tell you that the cooling modules are controlled by fan table stored in the BIOS.
Usually, the fan starts to spin if the CPU would be responsible for some unique applications/processes. It would also be possible that your fan is running continuously with low performance to maintain the low temperature. This isn't a real problem for laptop.
