  I upgraded my laptop HP Envy-15 t to 10 Windows recently and the functionality of fingerprint login worked fine for more than 3 months.

  Today, I tried to add an another fingerprint for my spouse, using the login under account settings options. The fingerprint option did not work for her. Then I tried to remove all traces of fingers and set up my fingerprint again.

  Now, the imprint does not at all. It comes up with the message "failure of authentication - please try again." I really liked the option of fingerprints to connect and restore this feature at the back. Help, please

  I understand that you upgraded your system to Windows 10 and the fingerprint login feature worked great for more than 3 months.   When you tried to add your imprint of spouses for the sign in options, it has not worked. You then removed all traces of fingers and tried setting up again but it has no authentication and no longer works.

  Others have an option to connect to your pc as a guest, to make interactive you will need to click on start-> run, type &-> gpedit.msc

  Navigate to Computer Configuration-> Windows settings-> Security-> Security Option settings. On the right side, look for-> ' access network: model sharing and security for local accounts "-> double click and select-> classic-Local user authenticate.

  Now another pc you can access this computer and you will be asked for the username and password.

• Login prompt is no longer Visible

  I am running Vista Home premium. The other day, the Windows login prompt appears after loading the background stopped. In some cases she sparkles in the display for a while, then disappears. If I press ENTER several times, I get the error connection failed - and the login prompt is displayed above the message. Allows me to log on.  However, when I stop the machine, the next time I start up, the guest is gone (again).  so I basically press ENTER, wait for the error message, then connect you when I see invites it - every time.
  Final score: antivirus (AVAST and Microsoft Defender) scans were negative - but the scans were unable to start from a clean boot.

  Any assistance/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  See if the system restore will do the trick. Choose the date you had session logon screen as your restore point.

  Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
  To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

  If this does not help, try checking the filesystem (CFS):
  

  Start button > Search box type cmd > look up, do a RIGHT click oncmd.exe > click onRun As Administrator > in this window cmd black and white, type at the prompt flashing sfc/scannow > press the ENTER key.
  Note: there is a space between 'sfc' and ' / '.
  To sit and wait. It will take time.
  When finished, exit the cmd window.
  Reboot (restart your computer)

• Missing login prompt?

  I rebooted my Windows 7 x 64 box the other day.  When he returned to the top, and I pressed CTRL-ALT-DEL for log in, I was not presented with a login prompt or password of any kind... of the machine hangs just a little, even if the mouse still moves.

  I demarrer start in Safe Mode, press CTRL-ALT-DEL and I * get a password.  System Restore still does not work as above.

  When I try to boot normally, I get no prompt connection again.

  1. are you able to connect to Windows in safe mode?

  2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

  3. how many accounts do you have on the computer?

  If you are able to connect to Windows in safe mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

  I suggest that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if your able to connect in normal mode.

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  Reset the computer to start as usual

  When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

  (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

  (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

  (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

  (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  I've had my Tecra A9 for over 2 months now and I've found recently that whenever I have my finger on the fingerprint device, the usual message appears, but it crashes.

  The box remains, I can't close it, I can't click on Yes or no. All I can do is to restart my computer to get rid of the message box, or drag it right while his does not.

  Any suggestions as to why this is happening? And how can I solve this problem?

  I put t know why this happen, but your first step should be updated of the fingerprint software.

  Have you noticed that on the first day of use?
  Have you tried to delete the model being fingerprints and create a new?

  Try to remove the preinstalled version and install the latest version of the Toshiba download page. Maybe this will help.

  Once you click the link, unzip and install WBF. Click Start > Control Panel > biometric devices and save your fingerprint.

• Cannot receive login prompt on Windows 7 (Alt + Ctrl + delete question?)

  I had a recording of the show in an instance of VMWare running windows 7 using VMWare Player.  When I try to send Alt + Ctrl + delete using all known methods (button, menu drop-down option menu and Alt + Ctrl + insert).  When I click on these options, nothing happens.  Expected behavior is the password, quick to open it.

  The instance is unlocked as I can click on the help button with the mouse on the screen 'Please hit Alt + Ctrl + delete' of Win7.  I know that the keyboard connects when I restart I get an option to secure the keyboard mode.  Safe mode has the same problem.  Alt + Ctrl + Del does nothing.

  I even tried to recreate the instance of VMWare using version 7 of the converter (this corrects a problem for me in the past) and it has not fixed the problem.  I tried everything I can think of at the moment.  I appreciate any suggestions.  Thank you!

  I had to uninstall lenovo drivers.  Once I did as soon as I uninstalled and reinstalled the PS2 driver on the vmware instance the driver loaded without error and the keyboard worked.
