  I had installed up-to-date antivirus software and my problem seems to start after an update from Microsoft. Do a search on the web and you will see similar stories. I spent so much time trying to solve this I think it's better just to do a re-install. Certainly not the resolution I had hoped, but appreciate this type of questions are almost impossible to solve the problems through intermittent mail such messages.

  Windows Module installation service are the two basic services responsible for all your updates installed correctly. Windows Module Installer service enables installation, modification, and removal of Windows updates and optional components. If the Windows Installer of Module service is disabled, install or uninstall windows updates may fail.

  Check and make sure the installation Module of Windows service is running on the computer

  (a) click Start; in the start search type services.msc and press ENTER.

  (b) ensure that the installation of Module Windows Service is running and the startup type must be handwritten.

  Message came that said my copy of Vista can be victim of piracy and go online to validate that, I did it because I have been using this OS for more than 3 years on a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit p2000 series. a few hours later my computer said it needed to restart and once it restarted it has a black screen with a message that he was trying to repair. It could not be repaired so he asked if ok to go to a restore point and clicked on Yes. I get the message that my copy is not genuine and my computer wants to restart once again, but I'm the delay of four hours. I did the command line to try to restart the service and access has been denied. 0x80070426. I found an ad on the forum and tried the steps there, but he failed. • Windows Movie Maker has stopped working and will not save

  I used Movie Maker for some videos and they all worked without any problems. This one I edited without any problems, but when I go to save it I get an error message that says that "windows live movie maker has stopped working". My film is not as long, only four minutes, and it has music, a .wav file and text. My video files are AVCHD.  I tried to remove the text and music, but it does not export again. I also tried a clean boot, but that doesn't work anymore.

  I tried it looking for virus, uninstall all unnecessary programs, push back the point of restoration to the oldest point etc.,.
  The strange thing only I can find is a 5 Vaio.7.1.05100 update that shows in Add Remove program which does not uninstall and gives the error message
  After some research, I found that Java has updated so I've updated for Java 7 update 11 only today
  I also tried to disable java plugin in google and IE
  I also checked the Vaio support site and downloaded the latest 6.1.2.1.11220 update; has ran the different options under Vaio care etc. but no solution

  I also read some people removed some tweaker pc utilities pc or pc performance enhancing software to their computer and that seems to work as well.

  Not sure, but have you tried to reinstall WLMM, or perhaps fix?

  Also, make sure that your graphics card and your PC sound card drivers are up to date. Go to the manufacturers technical support for your PC brand and model site and see if there are newer drivers supported. If there is, and the repair does not help, try them. Make a restore point on your PC first, and if you like you should be able to "roll back" to your existing installation if you need to.

  You can also try a SFC/scannow to see if that detects and repairs problems of any OS if the above does not help.
