Fix a door-HP 2175xi cartridges

While installing a new cartridge in our old HP 2175xi, my wife broke the spring lid plastic piece that holds the cartridge in place.  Which can be fixed?  Is it a matter of replace the cover?  Is it worth spending the money to replace it.  I don't remember how old he was.

Hi @Monsieurleprof

I personally suggest to replace the printer. I'm sure it was good for you, over the years, but maybe it's time to consider a newer model. HP has not certified and authorized repair facilities, but you might be able to find a shop of MOM and dad who performs repairs on the printer.

If you decide you want to get a newer printer, I call HP, explain the situation and see if they can offer you a discount on a newer model. If you are in the Canada, U.S. dial 800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP worldwide.

    Won't let me open the ink cartridge door.  So, I can not install new ink cartridges.   It started about 3 weeks after I deleted some other software.   When I touch the door to open it, I get this flashing Error Message - "Door open, door close print cartridge."   (but door is not open, it is locked closed).   .   Printer will print documents correct, my problem is that I can't load new ink cartridges.  I could probably force and break on it to open it, but am afraid my printer does not work after that.  I love it and want to continue using it.

    Three times, on different occasions, I crossed the steps on your website to reset the printer.  They did not solve it.  I opened the back of the printer and looked for any paper jams and tips or debri.   I took can air and exploded all over where I could, but nothing came out.  I don't have a paper jam, when this started.

    Hello Oldlady10,

    The 5510 JO has a Center door that goes through the top on both sides. It is possible that the door warped a bit in the middle and create a barrier that will not the door opens without a lot of strength.

    Solution: Hold the door with both hands as you open the door, then take both thumbs and press down on the top of the door to repel the distorted area and then lift the pen access door.

  • HP 4620: HP 4620 - cannot open the cartridge door.

    I need to replace the cartridges but can't seem to them.  I get the message ' X the door or cover must be closed to print.  Make sure it is completely closed.'  When I try to open the cartridge door.

    I read some comments and messages, powered and on a number of times without change and even tried the zipper feared, while the printer is running technical several times, and I can not even open the cartridge door.  Tomorrow I'll call HP support line, everyone knows success with any other technique?

    I spoke with the support and the problem is now resolved.  Basically, when I opened my door of printer cartridge it gets about 1 inch upward and feels like it stops and to open it any yet to break something.  When I just go ahead and keep lifting the door, it opens without breaking the hinges or anything else and I'm able to replace the cartridges.  It just feels like it won't break anything to open it, but it's actually correct.   Do not forget that the reason why I have the 4620, it is that I broke my last officejet by forcing the door open when you try to replace the cartridge, so I bought the 4620 to replace.  I affected the hinge on my last Officejet.

  • Anyone know how to say a printer HP PhotoSmart C310 is OK to use a cartridge installation?

    I need to fix this error:

    "Print cartridges listed above are not intended to be used for this printer as it is currently configured"

    I bought my HP Photosmart Premium C310 directly from HP a little over a year.  I checked the box to have an extra black replacement cartridge included for about $40.  The cartridges that I installed initially are all now empty (it's true, he is not getting used a lot and the original game lasted more than a year).  I put the new cartridge and get the above error message.  After a phone call, it turns out there are two kinds of cartridges, 'installation' and 'normal', and configuration cartridges are accepted the first time the printer is used.  The shipped replacement cartridge I paid $40 for says "setup" on it and it's the cause of the message.

    HP support by phone will not help me as it has been more than a year.  I feel like I got ripped off for $40...  Is there a solution?

    (1) use the menu to restore default settings

    (2) remove all ink cartridges

    (3) remove the both cartridge door.

    (4) turn off the printer and get an error msg saying: you must put in the support and the cartridgers.

    (5) install the cartridges support and installation

    (6) the printer says "thank you for the installation of genuine HP ink cartridges.

    If your PC can't see the printer anymore,

    (7) print the configuration of the printer, get the IP address.

    8) go to the properties of the printer to your computer and to configure the Port to the same IP.

    (9) to display the print jobs and printer (open devices and printers, click the printer), and then click the printer and uncheck use offline.

  • Message or incompatible cartridges on HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-One Printer

    I changed my color ink cartridge (a 75XL) on Monday, 16/04/12, and everything printed fine Monday.  I turned off my HP Pavilion laptop and printer on Monday night.  Tuesday, 04/17/12, I started working on my laptop and when I tried to print the small printer screen says "not compatible ink cartridges and my laptop screen said" the next cartridge has a problem: black ink cartridge '.»  I had kept the black in (a 74XL) cartridge because he still has a lot of black ink in it.  I removed the color and black cartridges, made sure that the point of contact with the printer is clean, so that both cartridges have ink in them and they are placed in the correct locations (black on the right) and the cartridge color left.  I don't know why I get these messages and why the printer does not print when he did print Monday after changing the color cartridge.  The two ink cartridges are XL, but they are not identical. The black ink cartridge is more horizontally (fate of the stick to the door of printer cartridge) further than the color ink cartridge.  The two are the same vertically / height.  Both cartridges are the type "XL".  I tried to download and use the diagnostic tool and it has led to tell on the screen of my laptop there is no problem with the printer.  Can an HP agent contact me and help solve this mystery.  It's very frustrating because I only use HP products (including two ink cartridges); and if I had to buy new cartridges, how do I know that this problem is happening?  Help please!  My email is [removed personal information] Thank you.

  • Difficulty to remove the door of Pavilion g6-1d11dx laptop

    I saw the online service manual, and it says to remove the battery, loosen the two captive screws that fix the door to the computer. I did it. Then I'm supposed to be able to remove the service door. It's not going to.  Then I watched a video for a newer model, and he says to slide the battery release while removing the service door. I did it, push the release of the battery more than all the way, but the back door still won't come out.

    Here is the service manual for your laptop: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03094202.pdf

    Is there some kind of trick to go out this door?

    Moreover, the screws, but they don't come out. I guess that's why they are called "live captive."

    The reason why I need to open the door: to replace the memory. There may have been a problem of overheating that caused memory to go bad, I'm guessing, but not sure about that. Which would affect opening the back door? I guess overheating, because when I do the memory diagnostic when the computer first starts, it goes. But if I do 10 or 15 minutes later, she fails.

    Hello:

    It is simply difficult to lift the door.

  • Which current printer uses cartridges 350Xl and 351XL please?

    Apology because I know this has been asked before but my photosmart c4380 is now partially dead (prints but the scans are still completely black? do not know if this can be easily fixed?) and I sitting cartridges in the closet.  Could someone tell me what current models use these cartridges please? Thank you.

    Hi there, these cartridges are generations old at this stage for his very little probable that you will be able to buy a new printer that takes these supplies. If the scanning feature no longer works on the unit, but you're an owner of /tablet smartphone (Apple or Android), a solution would be to install the HP all-in-One Printer application. This application automatically processes the images taken by the camera of your smartphone or tablet to create. PDF or. JPG files. You can share documents from your device whenever you usually store your scans of the C4380. I included a link here to a document of support for the application with links to the download page in Google game as Apple app store.

    Just be aware that the other features of the app wouldn't be used as the C4380 is not compatible with the application. But at least he could meet your scanning needs, and allow you to continue to use the printer for printing needs you have.

    Hope this information is helpful to you and if you have any other questions just post back.

    Best.

  • How to count the edges within the great period of door?

    Hello

    I use a PXI-6624 counter/timer in Visual Studio C++ with Meassurment Studio.

    I want to count the edges on a signal within a high period of an input signal.
    I found the documentation entries "CTR n CBC", "CTR n GATE" and "CTR n to THE.

    My idea is simply configure the counter 0 to count the edges on CBC by blocking via DOOR.
    can be an example to my problem in the installation of nor, but above all I do not understand the description of landscaping.
    to find a good example, you must know the name of the function you want to use.
    can someone tell me the good examplename for my problem?
    What call configuration should I use?

    a little less important than my first problem is a similar.
    I want to count the edges on a signal between a start trigger and a relaxing stop.
    SRC-> signal
    DOOR-> start signal
    To THE-> the stop signal

    I found a way to count the edges of the internal clock between start and stop (2 Seperation of edge), but not for an external signal.

    can someone help me with this? especially with the first.

    Hi John,.

    Thank you for your help. It works very well.

    I had a few problems with how the timebaseSource should be implemented.

    Finally, I found the solution.

    for those who do not want to search long for the code, it is here:

    Create the task
    CNiDAQmxTask ("CITask") m_task;

    Create the meter inlet channel
    m_task. CIChannels.CreatePulseWidthChannel ("PXI1Slot16/ctr0", "",)
    atof (minimum), atof (maximum), startingEdge,
    DAQmxCIPulseWidthUnitsTicks);

    Retrieve the channel to change

    CNiDAQmxCIChannel chan is m_task. CIChannels.GetAll ();

    Fix the DOOR Signal
    Chan. SetPulseWidthTerminal("/PXI1Slot16/PFI38");

    The value of the Signal SOURCE counton
    Chan. CounterTimebaseSource = ' / PXI1Slot16/PFI39 ";

    CNiDAQmxCounterReader myCounterReader (m_task. Stream);
    Double measuredWidth = myCounterReader.ReadSingleSampleDouble ();

    Thank you and goodbye
