FN + Fx remap

Hello

I use Edge 13 for awhile and quite happy with it except for one thing:

F1... F11 and multimedia as key Mute / Volume Up / Volume down /... are switched. I often use the F1... The keys F11, but now I have to press Fn + F1... FN + F11.

Does anyone know how to remap these keys in the former? As the use of F1... F11 without Fn key?

I tried KeyTweaker but it does not include the scan code F4... F12. If I could remap only F1... F3.

Thank you

Hi gregzem and welcome to the Lenovo user community!

In the BIOS (press F1 to the ThinkPad logo when the system boots), you can change the default behavior of the Fn keys.

  • How to remap the keys FN on Satellite Pro nb10t

    Hello

I got a nb10t Satellite Pro, good machine but key card looks really bad for me, [Home] and [end] keys are really far from arrows, really narrow [Tab] key, slowing really office work.

    How can I remap keys, for example to the value [home] [Fn] + [above], and {End] to [Fn] + [down]?}

Found RemapKey Microsoft, but does not have the FN key.

    Thank you

According to the mode settings special function key, you can use the function key (F key) with or without pressing the FN key extra.

    Details here

The FN key seems to be a characteristic of Toshiba and I don t think you could remap the FN key.

However, you can try to install the Remapkey.exe that is part of the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit. The remapkey should allow you to change the functionality of the button.

Also, the 3rd third-party tool like autohotkey would be good enough to make this work.

How can I enable the memory remapping in BIOS (5.90) on my laptop?

    Hello

It seems a problem with the Microsoft 32-bit Windows operating system.

    Please check this:
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7601WE0007R01.htm

    You can find this info:

    _Issue: _
I put in the memory 2x2gb in my book * and the BIOS * and the operating system is worth about 3 GB

    _Solution: _
This is a limitation of the 32-bit system.
System resources need of addressing which overlaps physical memory below 4 GB.
These requirements can reduce available addressable memory space to and reported by the operating system

  • Tecra A6 - memory remapping with new BIOS?

Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the bios on a Tecra A6 to enable the memory remapping so that all 4 GB can be used?

    Shaun

    Hi spmontgomery,

Theoretically the BIOS update is no problem, but you should know this will improve the maximum RAM capacity because it s a limitation of the motherboard and chipset. Updating the BIOS will not help you.

As far as I know, Tecra A6 supports up to 2 GB of RAM and that s the most that you can use.

  • Admiral: Unable to remap button Direct Connect

    Hey there!

I am unable to remap my Direct Connect button for an app or something like the calendar. When I go to the menu > settings > applications > Quick Launch, I have no option to remap the side button, all I see are shortcuts for the letters a - z. Am I the only one having this problem = D?

If you have active with Sprint DC you won't be able to remap the DC button on the side, because you will need to use the option of DC.

If you do not DC active with Sprint you 'll be able to remap the DC button on the side that you wouldn't be able to use it to DC and are able to remap it to something more useful.

For the DC remapping button when the domain controller is not active on your Admiral goto: settings-> Applications-> quick launch.

    Thank you

How to remap keyboard in Halo 2 Vista. It seems that it is impossible to do with success and it also seems that no one has the answer, I tried other forums, specifically Halo 2 game forum and everything he says is a fix is being developed.

According to the docs you're supposed to can assign any key to any function, but if you try to configure; tell E to jump, you receive an error message saying that the key is already assigned, and when you try to delete the key it will erase not as such, seems to be linked to the system somehow and cannot be deleted or changed. Paul

    Hi Paul,.

    Thanks for posting your question.

You can try to reset the default keyboard settings. Then, try to assign a key that is not assigned to a function and check if it works.

You can also contact Halo 2 forums:

BIOS - how to enter the BIOS?
Each computer is different, when you turn on the computer, it should tell you what button to push to get into the BIOS. This is usually one of the following values, and you have to push it in the first 5 seconds: F1 F2 F10 F12 ESC LED
Once in the BIOS find the menu with the remapping of memory, it is different on each computer.

    Enable memory remapping feature
Check the BIOS settings to see if the memory remapping feature is enabled. Remapping memory access Windows for more memory. You can enable the memory remapping feature in the BIOS by starting the configuration of the system. See the Guide to your computer for instructions on starting the installation of the system on your computer. The name of the memory remapping feature may be different for different hardware vendors. This may be listed as remapping memory, memory expansion, or something similar. Don't forget that your computer can not supported the memory remapping feature.

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft Certificate of Authenticiy (COA) followed back to Dell Latitude?

I have a Certificate of Authenticiy (COA) Microsoft, I need to remap to Dell Latitude - how can I do this?

    Still not clear.

Laptop Dell Latitude given should have only COST. There should be a sticker that is located on the laptop already (probably on the bottom). If you have other modes of action, they should not even enter into the equation.

Start from the beginning. What exactly you want or need to do? You want to reinstall Windows XP on a Dell Latitude Laptop? Don't forget that if you have a Dell brand XP installation CD, you have SAME the COA product key because this key should only be used if you use instead a generic unbranded OEM XP install CD.
