  • Move the apps into folders with the new IOS

I installed the latest IOS update on my iPhone 6s and I can't organize my apps in folders more. The old method after pressing applications until it stirs seems not longer apply. When I want the app for a x-amount of time it gives me the option to 'share', not move it to the folder I created in advance (with former IOS) for it.

How can I move my new apps into existing folders?

You are too much pressure on the screen.

  • Put the Apps into folders on iOS 10 or iPhone 7?

    Hello

When I hold the app so that it vibrates so I can drag to a folder rather that vibrate, it gives me an application drop-down options. I'm wanting to create folders and move applications in these cases is to say "work". How I make it work on iPhone iOS 10 or 7?

You are maybe too hard (touch 3D) pressing when you should do a long gentle press to get applications to start jiggling?

  • Y at - it a messaging of iOS application that updates the counts unread for all folders?

I went through a considerable amount of effort to organize my e-mail on iCloud in several folders, some nested, including using filters to Apple to sort my emails in these folders.  I was really surprised to see that the mail iOS app is not able to maintain unread accounts next to these folders.  I think that it is possible to declare as "Inbox", but in addition to the clutter of dozens of them, he "flattens" and resumes the structure unnecessarily. What I want is the the folder tree is as with the counts read next to them.  Parent folders contains the sum of the counts unread subfolders.   If any of you have used 'Claws Mail', you'll know exactly what I mean.

What is happening is that the unread number is updated only when I visit the folder.  Visit dozens of folders at the same time, it is tedious and unacceptable.  I'm really curious to know what Apple had in mind when creating this filter mechanism without providing the counts unread next to the folders.  It really beats the screening point, and I get bored to see mail in due course.  I tried every setting I could find to the counties to operate without success.

Is there any application to mail out there that can do this?

A second problem with the filters of Apple on the iCloud is that iOS doesn't let you get to iCloud.com via Safari to manage your filters.  You use Chrome or non - iOS to connect to iCloud.com system.   I don't see why this is so.

You can press and hold the icon Refresh (semicircular arrow) into the URL bar "Ask Site Desktop" will appear and then press that.

  • Incorrect filename & no folders or files showing IOS

Just got the Wireless Connect 200 GB stick.

Connected via my iPhone and iPad Pro. In both cases, tried to configure Camera Backup Roll. It says I need to specify a destination, which takes me to + new folder but any name, I try to use, it comes back with "bad file name" I tried - Photos, pictures, Camera Roll Backup iPhone, PhotosBack, iPhoneBack. Nothing works and there is no statement anywhere on the format necessary folder_name.

Also, when I go to stick on the PC, I see files - music, Photos, videos. But when I look at the app in my iPhone, I don't see anything.

    This thing actually works?

Impossible to use the Camera Roll backup function or create folders from your mobile device, while the stick is connected to a computer. Just remove the stick and can connect you with your mobile device and you will be fine.

  • iOS 10 iTunes Photo Sync does not display albums

Before the iOS10 upgrade, I got a folder on my PC with about 25 subfolders - with pictures organized in a special way that makes sense to me.  When I connected to iTunes, it has been configured to synchronize the main folder and each subdirectory would sync as an album on my iPhone - in other words, 25 folders = 25 albums and photos in the subdirectories corresponding pictures on the album of the iPhone.  Add a new folder on the PC and a new album is added on the iPhone.  Delete a file on the PC and the iPhone, it will be deleted.  Now it does not work after upgrade to iOS 10.  Is it a 'new '?  I've lost this ability?

I see a few more albums folder based on my iPhone. I suggest shooting synchronize photos off, sync, then back - light Sync photos and sync again to see if this changes what you see on the device. If this is not the case, use the feedback of the iPhone.

  • iCloud Desktop Drive and Documents folders

Just updated to Sierra and thought, it would be a nice feature to be able to back up desktop and Documents folders to iCloud. However, this isn't really what he does... Instead it moves to your desktop and Documents folders to iCloud Drive. Using your desktop and Documents folders disappear favorites. Likely, it erases the hard disk space, but this isn't what I wanted. I wanted to work on my files on my hard drive and for these to be synchronized / mirror in iCloud. As I don't do real work on the files in these folders on any other device than my MacBook Pro, having these files available by other devices was not important to me.

    Now my questions are:

    (1) Will Time still Machine back up these two folders which are now in the cloud?

    (2) if I want to recover these files on my hard drive (my computer > users > user My > Documents/Desktop), what is the best way to proceed?

    (3) is there a clever way to use iCloud in the way I intended?

    Hello tormod v.,

Thank you for your question about iCloud Drive and Sierra here in Apple Support communities. I understand how iCloud is important, and how the features can sometimes confusing, especially when things like the new macOS Sierra and iCloud combing Drive.

The first thing we want to make sure is that all your data is safe. You can perform a backup using Time Machine and an external hard drive. Some people recommend an external hard drive twice the size of your internal hard drive, because finally he fills with the backups, but as long as you have a car large enough to store all the data currently on your Mac that will suffice. Use this article to help make a backup of your Mac: use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac. To answer your first question, now that these files and folders are in iCloud drive, those who will be saved differently and separate Time machine. To do this, please open this help article: Archive or make copies of your data to iCloud under the first section, titled 'the Documents and files of the iCloud drive '. You will need to download them to the computer again and then make a Time Machine backup, display instructions.

To get these files on your desktop, go ahead and disable the function of the iCloud drive option in system preferences. Then, after the warning, go ahead and drag and drop your iCloud Drive, return to your computers local documents files and/or folders of office. Move this disk to iCloud files and put them on your computer.

You last question has been answered by yourself and the article I post above to make an archive or copies of your data to iCloud. iCloud and iCloud drive aren't backups. Yes, you can make backups of iOS and save them in iCloud, but to perform a live backup of all your files and folders, they must be located on the internal hard drive or external hard drive connected to your Mac, and that external hard drive is not excluded from backups in the preferences of Time Machine.

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.

  • iOS 10 mail, lack of top-level

    The problem:

In iOS 9, there was a list of top level of e-mail accounts. We could tap one, which would be a level in and display the tree view of the folders for the e-mail account. In iOS 10, for some reason, Apple dev seems to have deleted the first level as e-mail accounts separates. In place, they have stacked all email accounts on top of the other in one vertical line with no way to close the file trees. Anyone who uses the file trees to organize individual emails into categories and subcategories, and needs to have several emails, knows how much a nightmare this change is to navigate. It would be the same problem as if Apple has decided to remove the desktop Mac file browser bookmarks bar and then put all the files and subfolders in a long list in the viewer instead.

    Question:

Does anyone know how to get this higher level of e-mail accounts save?

Can anyone recommend a good mail app that I can replace mail from Apple with if there is no solution?

    Hey, Pataphysicist!

It seems that after upgrading your iPhone 5 c to 10 iOS, the Mail app is not displayed to e-mail individual records of account which can be extended. I use it often myself, so I'll be happy to help you.

When I open the Mail app, mine defaults to "All inboxes" and I type "Mailboxes" on the top left. In the next screen, I find 'All boxes' and a list of my email accounts. Just below but who is a grey area that lists the email represents once again, includes a right arrow to access this file tree. If you don't see it is troubleshooting to do. Check your mail application after each numbered step.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch --before troubleshooting a device, I always recommend a fresh backup. Is better "" than "need."

    1. forcing a nearby app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - first of all, quit the mail application, and then restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - never underestimate the power of a good restart.

    2. reset the iPhone settings - on your phone, go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This step will return your iPhone settings by default. Don't forget to write your networks, Wi-Fi/passwords before finishing.

Be careful and please use the Apple Support communities.

  • Deleting apps on IOS 10

I just updated my IOS 10 phone and when I hold down the app and it stirs. There is no option to remove (the X in the left corner never appears). How can I delete?

Remember, only third-party apps can be deleted not these pre installed by Apple. However, you can move to another screen or in nested folders.

  • Disable facial recognition in iOS 10 photos?

I HATE what has been done to the Photos app in iOS 10.  I have an old personal system of ten year of creating folders and sort my photos in them and do not want some geek put his system in front of me. Just, you can't automate my own choice of folder.

Is it possible to disable facial recognition? and places? Is it possible to delete all these stupid folders in albums? I am looking to clean up the app and remove: people, places, selfies, panoramas, slo - mo from my iPhone.

If this is not possible, my second choice would be to move at least until the end of the scrolling line - after all of my own creation records.

    Thank you

    Tom

It's amazing, but they did not give us a way to opt-out of the image analysis and the only way to avoid it is to move your photos out of the IOS device.  I have auto-download of mine to Microsoft cloud, which then auto-telechargements them to my computer.  I remove out of IOS as soon as possible.  I don't know that apple hoped I wake up each morning, a bit of happy memory, but I open my phone every morning and all delete

  • iOS 10 Mail: moving Messages, inconsistent behavior when you tapoterez folder icon

    iPhone 6, iOS 10

I see inconsistent behavior when I try to move a message in Mail from in the message.

In previous versions of iOS, during playback of an e-mail message, I could tap the icon of the folder at the bottom of the messages, and which would lead to the top of the hierarchy of the folders for the email of the message account. From there on, it was just a matter of tapping on the file I want to move the message to, and he settled there the message and look back to the Inbox display (or the folder view I moved this message of).

In iOS 10, when I hit this folder icon, two things happen: it happens the same thing I described above, or sometimes, rather than see the hierarchy of folders, I see three buttons slide up from the bottom of the screen. The top button allows me to move the message directly to a folder in my account called 'Action' I created (I don't know why he chose this particular file to the default value for this button - maybe because it is first in alphabetical order of all my folders created by the user), the second button says "Another mailbox" and when it takes me to the hierarchy of the mailbox as described above, and the third button is a Cancel button.

I can't understand what dictates which of those two things happening. I tried again and again on a bunch of different messages. Some do happen, some do the other thing happens, and sometimes I'll have a different behavior in the message even if I try again later.

I prefer the old way. But I could get used to the new way, if I could at least choose what default folder appears in the first box.

    Anyone else seeing this?

Someone knows how to change the default folder in the first box of this new process?

    Thank you!

I seem to have solved the problem on my own. I went to settings > Mail, and in the "Threading" section, I have disabled "Complete Threads."

  • iOS 10 went playlists

Someone had the problem after updating to iOS 10, that the playlists in folders have no content? I disabled music Apple and allowed him once again, but this does not seem to solve the problem. Any ideas?

I chat with Support right now, and it turns out that Apple has THE GOAL killed smart playlists in iOS 10.

Playlists smart (those to the less nested) could not update itself without syncing iTunes since iOS 4, but now they don't even play in iOS 10.

So... my iPhone is * useless for me as a music player, which is all just great once I bought a 128 GB model specifically so it could carry all my music.

Apple says they like the music, but they seem to hate people who love music.

  • Badges of e-mail not updated with new e-mail messages in folders

I use iOS 9.3 and I set up my email exchange for folders to push as well as my Inbox, but only the Inbox mail updates the badge number. If I get the mail in a folder, I get just banners subventio but the number of badges is not updated. Is there a way to change this, because I need to know all the e-mails unread in all folders

To my knowledge only the Inbox badges poster. Someone may be able to comment further, but to my knowledge if you have mail rules that filter messages to other folders before they are pushed to the phone, you can only get notification. Some users report not even get notifications. I have not experienced with my Exchange account, so it's just sharing information that I heard.

  • Drag and drop photos to photo streams in folders

I want to drag and drop photos from my photo stream on my book of mac pro to my photo folders. I am a new user of apple.

To begin with, that we need details - what version of the operating system and Photos do you use? What are your iCloud on Mac and on every IOS device settings? What exactly do you do? In the Photos files are not for Photos, albums are for Photos and folders for albums or other
