Four monitors

I have a Dell XPS 8700 with the extra HDMI slot that is covered.  I have 3 monitors, a hdmi and a dvi and a vga attached.  I would add a fourth screen but when I test the covered hdmi slot by plugging the monitor hdmi attached in this niche, I get a message of long wholesale.  Is it possible to add a fourth monitor using this port?  I used a small monitor fourth via USB, but the system will sometimes temporarily dark.  I am a merchant and need a configuration of 4 very reliable monitor.

Thank you in advance.

Ron, Got up early this morning and fooled around a few others. Have all 4 monitors running. I really appreciate your help.  Started by using the HDMI port on the side of the back of the box first and then other plugged.  Seems to work even after rebooting.

Thank you very much.

I have a usb to vga thing that might work for a monitor, so this means that I need a chart of small form factor card that can work 2 or do I need one that will run 3. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

You'll need a card video low - profile pci-e x 16. Even if you buy one with 3 outputs as a vga, one dvi and one HDMI usually you can only use 2.

And Yes, when you install an add-in pci-e video card, you will lose the integrated graphics card.

In order to drive the moire than 2 monitors you need a second video card, or a multiple display adapter cable. You have a pci-e available x 1 slot and there is such a thing as a video card pci-e x 1 like this:

Some of these x 1 cards actually have a quad cable optionally, you can add the display.

These are not for gaming but can run extra for things monitors as having walked fellow RSS site or desktop computers more available to work.

  • Can I add a third monitor to my p6230y?

Is it possible to add a third monitor to my HP Pavilion p6230y? I currently have two monitors connected to the computer via the ATI Radeon HD 4200 integrated display adapter that came with the computer, but I would like to add a third monitor to extend my desktop. One of the Geek Squad guys told me that an XFX one video card and a monitor HP S2031 would do what I want, but I'm afraid that the extra video card will conflict with / disable the ATI graphics card to the existing address. In addition, power is 300W, and I wonder if I have to upgrade that too. I don't know if it's important but I am running 64 - bit Windows 7 Home edition. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

Watch this video on theATI 6870  It will support four monitors in accordance with the recommendations of the previous mission.

  • 550-153no Pavilion: four screens on a HP Pavilion 550-153no

I just bought a HP Pavilion 153no 550, and I want to connect four screens. (Not necessary for the use of heavy graphics, just for business applications).

Can I remove the supplied AMD Radeon R5 330 and install a cheap graphics card which can drive two screens? For example, the edge AMD Radeon R7 will continue to work and be capable of driving two screens, despite the withdrawal of the AMD Radeon R5 330 and her feeling that there is an another graphics card installed?

Or do I have to install a graphics card that can drive four monitors? I think the AMD over-pants W4100. There is need for power is "less than 50 W", like the AMD Radeon R5 330, which should be possible without having to upgrade the power supply?

    Hey there @RenniePet,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you want to connect 4 screens on your computer and I am happy to help you with this.

Looking desktop HP Pavilion 550 - 153no product specifications, in the section on the integrated graphics card, it says "integrated graphics card does not work if a graphics card is installed.

So no, the integrated graphics card will not work with another installed graphics card. So if you try to use four screens, you will need to put in a graphics card that provides for this. The jury has only available following expansion slots:

    A PCI Express x 16 (Gen 3.0)

  • The executable value to run on 3 monitor

I am trying to set up a series of executable to run on a full-screen especially several system monitor.

I need to be able to tell LabVIEW that monitor to run, even if my development PC has only a single monitor.

I * have * to be able to make that choice on my single-monitor workstation - I set up a second monitor to get that to work, but extending beyond which defeats the purpose of having a workstation. Similarly, muliple control system should * not * need to installed development system, and I should * not * have to do the actual compilation on the multi-screen system. The boss sees this as something fundamental that any programming language must be able to do it - he said thay my workstation should not four monitors in order for me to tell an executable file to run full screen on a second, third, fourth, twentith, monitor etc.

Unfortunately, the only way I know in LabVIEW to assign a non-primary monitor to an executable of fullscreen is through 'properties of the vi', and which only allows access to the monitors set up on the [i] current [/ i] PC. It is a major problem; It must be configurable somehow, [i] using only the tools provided by LabVIEW [/ i] (again, the boss speak here).

my boss is to be very strict about it, because it is rightly worried about losing face. If we cannot do it in LabVIEW, if we cheat it somehow and our clients ask us how we did / competitors show that we could not have done in LabVIEW, and we say "This Visual graphical programming langauge, we could not do this basic thing, so we had to do otherwise. They rightly ask why we use LabVIEW at all, which is not something we want to hear.

I tried to configure multiple monitors in windows XP, but it doesn't work - I can not change the numbering / order, or if I can, I do not know how and there is no documentation anywhere that provides for any help or suggestion. I am frustrated and annoyed and under some pressure. Help, please.

    Hi Bob,

You can set the property 'FrontPanelWindow:Monitor' for each VI. Then you should be able to pass a VI to another monitor.

When you present the settings GUI to the user, it can choose a non-existent monitor. You can only decide which monitor to use as (with software): UserSelect = 3, available = 2-> choose Monitor 2 instead of 3...

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 645
For my work (trade) I need to run on 4 monitors at the same time, although I don't use it for games at all as I have another PC for that. Could someone tell me please how to get around this know what PSU etc. graphics card I would need to go to 4 monitors?
PS I have the block of power SUPPLY 240 w
    Thank you

GTX 750 ti. Fortunately, it only supports four monitors (HDMI, DVI, Display Port), but it works with 240w PSU. However, you may need a separator for the display port.

But there is a GTX 750 ti with a HDMI, 2 DVI and a VGA port.

Don't get a ti GTX 750 with a heat pipe sticking out like a sore thumb or one with mini HDMI.

  • title bar disappears when using multiple monitors

    Hey,.

I have four monitors organized from left to right as 1280 x 1024, 1920 x 1200, 1920 x 1200, 1280 x 1024 on W2K12. All monitors are placed to the same vertical origin of zero. I use RDP to access virtual machines using all monitors. When I open a PDF using Acrobat Reader, it locates to a monitor of environment, but as long as any other PDF format remains open, brand new open on my left monitor most. It is not so bad that I can move it to another monitor again.

However, what is bad, which is the PDF file on the left that most monitor is placed so the title bar is hidden, and the PDF is maximized. I need to position the mouse on a corner, then change the size slightly, and then the fall title bar downwards and is accessible. For now, I have twenty PDFs I have to check and compare and I get cheesed.

It would be great if you could change this behavior. Always have the bar showing something Adobe random location is appropriate on my title screen or allow a certain control over all this in a configuration screen. Please, I beg you.

    Thank you

    Bob.

  • Multi monitor with RDP?

I read that PCoIP supports up to four monitors. It also works with RDP? I intend to use Windows 7 and RDP7 stand. I don't mean the duration of feature, but the 'real' multi taken in charge of monitoring. Thank you.

Good RDP 7 supports multimon. With some limitations however still. Such as AERO. You will need a RDP7 to Win7 backend as you described. View currently does not support RDP7, so you will not be able to operate but in the future when possible.

  • Dell T3600, card Nvidia NVS 510 Quad...

Hi, updated the video card to an Nvidia NVS 295 (dual) to the NVS 510, one card four. Four identical LCD, Dell U2410, (1920 x 1200). I have all the DVI cables, but they are not the same cables, but all are DVI. The NVIDIA NVS 510 has four connectors Compact Mini DisplayPort (mDP). So far, all is well... However, my workstation Dell (T3600) sees the two monitors. I used the Nvidia Control Panel, Microsoft screen resolution (right click on the desktop to bring up), still not able to get all four monitors going. I have two years of my Dell warranty, but since I did not buy the video card in Dell left, it does not cover this new card. Any suggestions? Thank you. PS Site a link FRO of Nvidia

Has taken care of this problem myself... Disconnected from everything. Reset the graphics card. And when I plugged back it it, it worked! (I spent several hours one afternoon trying to find the problem). All's well that ends well! :)

  • Blind plate on the DVI port built on HPE595 UK

    Hello

I purchased the above machine now a year ago and uses now a screen three put in place with both the graphics card and onboard graphics working together. Currently, I have a screen plugged into the HDMI connector and, later, a plate with "DO NOT REMOVE" on it and special five-point screws which is obviously a DVI port has attracted my attention.

I checked on the specifications of the motherboard and, Yes, the port is there! I wonder if there is no official reason that plate shutter being there that is clogged power supply? The case, which arrived off! I want four monitors!

    Thanks in advance

P.S. in advance, I'm aware that removing probably void my warranty. As this machine is scheduled at the end of its warranty period, I am not too restless to this topic. I don't want to blow up the motherboard by accident!

  • Video upgrade - business multi-screen on Optiplex 755 MT

    People,

Please, let me share my upgrade of success a good end of the Dell Optiplex 755 MT for multi-monitor lease.

If you are looking to use a great system for companies, but want to add multiple monitors (which is fantastic for productivity), so this solution might be nice for you.  And do graphics multi-monitor solution that works is easy and difficult at the same time!   It's easy if all the material is known to work together!  This note is therefore, on this topic.

    * With the help of ATI over-pants 2450 in 16th housing PCI Express.

    * Four monitors (via VGA or DVI adapters included) OVER the motherboard video still works!

    * Updated the BIOS to the most recent.

    * Note that this card works PCI 2.0, and it works in what is apparently a PCIe 1 location. on the MOBO 755 0 a.  A 2.1 card may not work.

    * This is for businesses and all five monitors work fine now, even with YouTube.  This is not intended as a game environment.

    * There are a few things to try in BIOS in terms of parameters - for a while, there was a mistake of memory and the thing wouldn't start - it took a little time to understand the exact configuration of he.

    * WIndows 7 is the operating system used - and Windows Aero works.

    * I'm not long seen accidents associated with old Jaton NVidia PCI cards that we used previously.

    * The physical slot size are fine.

    * Consumption looks very good.

    * Cost of ITX Canada was about $250 more shipping, tax etc.

    * Here's the Sapphire version of the AMD ATI card, which is very good.

    * The AMD reference number is 100-505531.

Five monitors are not identical (three different geometries and two sellers)

    * Device Manager lists the latest AMD video drivers for this card as installed and work - I am not quite clear if the drivers have been installed from the download, or later.

Actual installation was required for their persistence and a little hairy.  When I reboot, I'll see all noting the exact BIOS settings.

    * The system crashed not once now, in a week of constant availability, including browsers open 20 tablets or more periods and use of the physical memory of 80%.

    * System 6 GB of RAM, running 64-bit and BIOS A22.

    Good luck.

  • Background image starts to main display?

I have a configuration of four monitor under Windows 7. They are all 1600 x 1200. I found a background image that is 6400 x 1200. The way they are on my desktop, I configured the order of monitors in the resolution of the screen. The problem is, I want to #2 to the main screen, but which makes the image start it and wrap it around so the right the quarter most of the image is # 1, the left monitor. Is it possible to get the image spread on 1-2-3-4 but a 2 as the main display?

  • BSOD in Windows 8 atikmpag.sys

I have problems BSOD mainly focussed on the atikmpag.sys (see the first 3 reports WhoCrashed) and was hoping someone could help out. More recently, I got the BSOD who wakes from sleep. I have four monitors and a number of applications (for example, various office products, several tabs in Chrome), but nothing that the computer should not be able to process (see below). I have read a number of discussions on this issue and that you have not found a solution: it seems that there are many possible causes.

-The pilots I know are up to date (for example, graphics drivers, have not installed the drivers from "non-essential" for example for the wireless network adapter). It is possible that the absence of these drivers 'non-essential' is what causes the problem.

I tried the update driver ATI Mobility HD 4300/4500 Windows 8.1 from amd.com but returned crashes. The graphics hardware is old (1/2009) then I disabled the driver from AMD and graphics card uses at least fonts but same resolution with the standard graphics driver not one built for the hardware that is causing all the problems.

The flicker of the graphics before the accident, said the card cannot handle the high rate of resolution or refresh in the driver crashing in my opinion. This has been ongoing for about 2 or 3 weeks. It's like the laptop is dying. He is 5 years old.

Try to disable the card manufacturer video driver that is causing problems and live with less fancy accident-free driver from Microsoft.
