  I'm afraid I couldn't see any obvious problem since your backup.

  What Data Modeler version do you use?
  Were you doing anything unusual before these problems started?
  What kind of changes are you trying to do when it freezes?

  You sometimes use more than one monitor? If so, is it possible that you encounter the problem described in the last post Data Modeler Forum bug of window properties box ?

• Vista Home Premium 32 bit freezes after an indeterminate amount of inactivity

  For the last few weeks, my HP Pavilion dv6500 laptop has been freezing after periods of inactivity. Seems that the only change made to the computer until that moment was a Windows update that was late about 3 - 4 weeks. No other programs have been installed.

  I have not precisely timed duration yet, but I think 10-15 minutes of inactivity in freezing results. Little happens is important if the lid is open or closed. Only "a freeze" is to do a hard restart.

  I ran in Mode safe... same results. I did a system restore to a point before the update of Windows. I reinstalled the latest graphics and audio drivers. I ran SpyBot: Search and Destroy... we found an approximately 18 items requiring repair or removal, but it also has not fixed the problem. I ran Check Disk and the problem still persists.

  I'm running out of ideas, and this problem is driving me absolutely crazy. I hope someone can help before I lose my mind. Thanks in advance.

  Panel configuration-Device Manager - look at the settings for the network card, WiFi, Modem power management.

  Spybot is a fine program, however, it has two modes of residents who can cause problems with IE 8, Vista/Win7
  and other programs. In the settings of Spybot, I stopped TeaTimer - SpyBot - settings. And then start - type
  in the search box-> find Services at the top of list - just right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN - look for SBSD security
  Change-double click on it - STOP Service Center, then MANUAL. Now you can run SpyBot as one
  scan on demand whenever you want. You will need to restart to stop TeaTimer to load again if it has been
  the before value.

  HP Pavilion dm1 mini laptop computer Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition.  Freezes the shortly after the desktop appears - no response from any action of the mouse or the keyboard.  Wireless signal-meter at the bottom right shows the circle of rotation and does not seem to connect, but turn off Wireless (button) has little effect.  At the restoration of the system to return two updates.  Antivirus software is uninstalled.  Memory test OK.  CHKDSK OK.  Works perfectly in safe mode with network.  No error message.  No new software installed recently.  Worked fine on October 7 - no symptoms of imminent failure.   Can you suggest a next step?

  The problem spontaneously resolved itself last night.  After a week of troubleshooting and research, the laptop is not cold as it had been.  Still, it worked fine in safe mode, but would freeze after Normal reboot.  I have not changed anything in these last days, other than to restart several times, in SAFE and NORMAL mode.  Finally this morning it worked normally without freezing during the night.  Not sure that the problem could be.  Made several updates to Java and Windows without problem.

  All you can do is to reset the TV and update the firmware (if possible)

  Thank you for your message.  Do you by chance have a way to connect your computer to another monitor?  This will eliminate the problem with the monitor.  If the red door on another computer, then we do need troubleshoot your computer.  However, if the other monitor shows, the problem could be with your monitor.

  Almost everytime I start my computer, I get to the login screen, connection & then I get an error indicating that an unauthorized change has been filed with Windows.  Then it gives me the ability to check online for more information.  I then close this window and restart the computer.  Most of the time, the error will return repeatedly until I'm able to get Windows to load.  I am the administrator on my computer & I did not any changes to Windows.  This has all started after I made my first backup of my files on my computer.
