• M30 screen freezes, system hangs

  I bought this laptop less than 8 weeks ago & have been facing this problem since. Basically, the screen will freeze and then display this strange form which is white with a top motif, as if someone threw a liquid on the screen. That's the best description I can give in anyway. The only way to stop the system is by holding down the power button. After that several startups ultimately go back to windows, at least up to the, it happens again.

  I tried to download the latest drivers for the graphics card, but does not solve the problem.

  Hi André,.

  You don't say if your laptop comes with a pre-installed OEM Windows or if you have installed your own system. Anyway, I would recommend save your data in a safe environment and then reinstalling the operating system.

  If you still have the problem, I suggest that you contact a Toshiba authorized Agent of Service (see list on the website of Toshiba) and asking them to check it out because it will still be under warranty.

  I'm having serious problems with Premiere pro on my iMac end of 2013.

  10.9.5 OSX

  3.2 GHz Intel Core i5

  16GB 1600 MHz DDR3

  NVIDIA FeForce GT 1024Mo of 755M

  I work in 1920 x 1080 23.976 fps. The multimedia files are Sony FS700. MTS and Cannon 5DmkIII .mov

  Several times a day, the PP crashes on me. It all started when I was getting really choppy playback accompanying this error message:

  A low level of Exception occurred in ImporterMPEG (importer)

  It would shortly after the lead program of freezing and I have to force quit the program. After contacting Adobe first on this problem persistent, the tech told me that it was a 'Leak' memory problem and that there is nothing that could be done.   I looked into a number of solutions you provided and after trying a multitude of them, I decided to see what a clean reinstall would do. I ran the programs uninstaller for each program and then ran the CC cleaning tool.

  Two days of functioning as it should. * knock on wood * I will update with any changes.

• Yet CS4 freezes system

  I am a user of Adobe for a long time, put updated CS4 a year ago. Recently, began using the system HD is i7 960 12 GB, Win7 64-bit. Looks like many know blocking problems, so I am not optimistic. Had no system other than even hiccups.

  I also tried using a 3rd party conversion video program produced diff files. Pretty much the same result - HD = blocking.

  As you mentioned that you use Encore CS4 on win 7. There was a problem with Encore CS4 used on win 7.

  It could be the case that the pxhelp is not compatible with win 7 (64-bit)

  I just got off the phone with Tech Support and thought to reformat or send the laptop in for repair. This machine is essential to the Organization and I wanted to see first what other options are available.

  My problem with the laptop is the machine will be closed and the fan will run quickly and audibly. The system is hot but not burning as if it was overheating. Only solution here is to cold start and restart the device. This happens almost every day.

  Most of the applications running on this PC include QuickBooks 2007 and MS Office 2007 Applications FireFox 3.X. The last blocking occurred when only Outlook and Firefox have been opened. Event Viewer not proved very useful.

  Is there a utility I can run to check the compatibility of the software, or is there any ideas as what Diagnostics can be run on this system?

  Before send you the laptop to ASP I would recommend to recover the computer laptop back to factory settings.
  Always is that mobile or OS can freezes due to software or hardware problems. And so portable should be recovered in order to check if it s not software related problem.

  These sounds like a higher temperature would affect the functionality of the laptop.
  Perhaps the reason for freezing system.
  Maybe some dust and debris clogged the fans of cooling/grids.

  Please check that you can remove the dust using a jet of compressed air should this allows it.
  But if it s is not overheating issue then a technician must check the hardware.

  Doesn't look good I agree with Akuma.
  Check if the BIOS and driver graphics card to day helps.
  If that does not solve the graphics problem then ASP support is necessary.

  I understand very well this freezing system is very annoying and crazy.

  I ve got a laptop for 7 years and had a similar problem. The system froze suddenly and only a reboot of the laptop has helped.
  After a long investigation, I discovered that one of my modules of memory was faulty.
  I presume that a temperature high affected of the memory module.
  I replaced the faulty RAM and could solve the problem.

  Straigth to the point, as shown above, I got the screen freezes (system hang) whenever I try to play a video (if a file or a dvd video) on windows media player.

  Windows reset the radeon whenever it happened, but I could not play a video every time.

  I watch MLBTV on my computer and it uses flash player to run.  I have Apple TV and I can always get the games, but it would be great if I could once more watch it on my computer.

  I'm rather a computer neophyte when it comes to repairs, but I thought that maybe back to Yosemite as my operating system or perhaps using another browser (Chrome or Firefox) might alleviate the problems I am having with flash player.  Someone on this forum can help me to answer this question?  If so, I should of course advice on how to make one of the two solutions.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  Isolate a problem by using a different user account

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.
