G4 will not start hard fast motor running

Help, I have a...

G5 processor 1.6 Ghz, Mac OS X (10.5.6), RAM 1.25 I use not.  recently, I need to find some old documents about this store, so I tried to start it and I hear the ping of start-up and the hard drive starts spinning and then it continues to become stronger and stronger, but on the screen, nothing happens.  on an attempt I got a message that I've never seen before, which send I need to restart the computer.

This message was not in your typical dialog box.  It was written in big letters on the screen in big letters and it's in English, French and another language.    as per charge, started again and I tried many times.   I tried the thing of Landau, did not work.  any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Hold down the SHIFT key at startup... did do better?

Hold the option key or the ALT on startup, did show the choice of start?

It has been disconnected from power for a long period of time?

Running Windows 7 on a Sony Vaio laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox, you WILL NOT lose any bookmarks, history and settings. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

  • Speech recognition will not start and continue to run

I am running vista 32-bit Home Premium edition. I finished the speech recognition session setting the microphone. I finished the tutorial.  However, no voice recognition program continues to run. When I run the program of recognition (or when it is started automatically to the 'start-up', it starts to run and then goes into "Sleep" mode for a few seconds and then on 'Off'.  The second time, I start speech recognition he will say 'Start speech recognition' and then go directly to 'Off '.  When I click on the microphone icon in an effort to implement the program "On", I get an error of speech recognition that says "Please restart speech recognition. It is said in the body of the error message "speech recognition has encountered an error. Please restart speech recognition to ensure that you can continue to use the speech recognition".   When I restart speech recognition error repeats.

Although the speech recognition tutorial seemed to work, the real speech recognition program doesn't have.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Thank you.

    Hello Dirleton,

Thank you for your message.  For testing purposes, could you try creating a new account on your computer?  The process is described below:
    * make sure that you logged in with an administrator account *.
    1. click on the 'Start' button > right click on 'Computer' > select 'manage '.
    2. click on the arrow pointing down next to "local users and groups.
    3. highlight "users."
    4. in the right pane, right click and select 'New user' (enter information, then select OK)
    5. now right click on the new user and select "Properties".
    6. Select the "Member" tab and click on 'Add '.
    7. in the box type 'Administrators' and click on "check name".
    8. click on OK
Then log off your computer and connect again the new account.  Test the speech recognition, this will rule out a problem of profile corruption.  We can then troubleshoot further.
Please let us know if this or don't help solve the problem.

    MEMORY MODULE

    Window7 as operating system

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hello

    Try the following.

First of all, regarding the manual of maintenance on the link below--remove and reposition your bars of memory.

If the above makes no difference, and you have more than one Module of memory installed, try the following - if you have only 1 Module installed, try in the other available slot.

Again, regards to the manual on the link below, delete one of your modules from memory and then see if the computer will start.  If it doesn't, try the same module, but in another location.  If it is still won't start, try the other memory module in both slots, to see if any combination will allow the laptop to boot up normally.

The procedure for withdrawal of these modules is detailed on Page 50 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite P305-S8820 won't start no-POST 'BLACK SCREEN' will not start up CD

When the HARD drive is connected Vista does not start, regardless of the boot order. Instead, it shows just a black screen with no cursor. Supplied recovery disks will not start. I removed the HARD drive and ran a scan of the disc to see if the drive went wrong, no dice, the disc is good and works fine via usb-sata on another computer.

I inserted just the toshiba recovery disk, without HARD drive, and it starts. I connected the external HARD drive now and vista tries to start BSOD, I tried safe mode, last known, everything, nothing works, all get a BSOD disappearing too fast for me to read.

I searched a dump file on my other computer and was a failure. When the HARD drive is connected via usb vista tries to start and the toshiba cd works now, however, it will not perform a complete installation of factory toshiba it does not find the HARD drive? I'm a windows user and I have years of experience with x 86 programming and windows 32-bit operating systems, but I'm stumped. Bad RAM? Bad Sata? Bad HARD drive? Bad CD/DVD? It is Vista Home premium.

I don't want to reformat and lose all my data "I AM A REAL 'IT' not a silly computer user" no offense to all the others out there but I refuse just "format and forget ' tools used invites to rebuild the BCD and this does not work either and automatic repair does nothing, recovery does not work as it says there is no recovery points I am frustrated beyond words.

Finally, this operating system is just horrible, I was once the 'happy' owner of a copy of Windows ME and it does not give me half of the problems that makes this operating system.

I'm fed up with this, and am half tempted to ask my money for my computer, it might not be the responsibility of the user barely shoot / resolve these problems, they should be addressed before the product was released.

I am at a loss. Help, please.

    Thank you

    Kevin

I'm a bit confused with the info given, but if you can not restore/repair Windows, while you should do is back up your data to another PC using a USB adapter, and then run the recovery on the HARD drive internal in the P305.

You must also update the BIOS.

    Hello

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
    the cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

Some of the fundamental things include the pram/clock battery replacement

since they may be dead; then with a power failure, sometimes the Mac

do not restart. Usual power management unit & reset NVRAM/PRAM are

methods that sometimes also used as a troubleshooting measure.

    • Reset the Mac chip power management: (see SMU)

    http://www.thexlab.com/FAQs/resetpmchip.html

    • How to reset NVRAM-LANDAU on your Mac - Apple Support

A hard reset can sometimes be used, where the power is disconnected

the logic board and power removed from grill; Then push the Start button / stop.

(But maybe not. Several PowerMac computers, I had, some people found this helpful)

You may also remove and reposition cards and other items

the inside of the case, to be sure they are connected properly. Be sure to not

In short anything, due to the static load or residual power in the circuits.

The hour is late here, so I'm not going offline; If all goes well a battery original or novel, etc.

can help to put it on again. Also sometimes the power supply has some faulty fans,

circuits or capacitors, so they can be troublesome to repair or replace.

    Good luck in this case!

  • iMac will not start. From sound and sometimes Apple, but no further details. How can I get?

Just got an iMac and it will not start up.  I can get the sound start and, sometimes, the Apple logo, but it stops there.

Install or reinstall OS X from scratch

Make sure that you have backed up your files because the following procedure will remove all of the hard drive.

    HD recovery start:

Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until the menu screen appears.

    Erase the drive:

    1. select in the main menu disk utility and click on the continue button.

    2. once the charges of THE select your boot volume (usually Macintosh HD) in the

list on the left. Click on the Erase tab in the main window of THE.

    3. set the type of format Mac OS extended (journaled). If necessary, click

Security and button all the option data from scratch in a single pass. Click

the clear button and wait until the process is complete.

4 leave FROM and return to the main menu.

Reinstall OS X: Select reinstall OS X and click on the install button.

Note : You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest to use Ethernet if possible

because it is three times faster than wireless.

This should install the version of Mac OS X that you had installed it.

If this does not work then your hard drive has failed and must be replaced. Please make an appointment at the Apple Store - Genius Bar store and bring it into service. If you are in the United States or is unable to make an appointment in this way, contact your Apple store.

I am currently using the i7 connected to the external i5 as I type this.

Disk utility has been run on the i7 at this point by indicating zero problems.

Onyx has been run through all the options and check marks with no problems.

Always the i7 will not start its host computer.

    I am very confused.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) why/how this phenomenon occur?

    (2) in making the i7 clone for external storage, if there was a hidden virus or something on the i7 origin, is the now compromised storage device?

I read it twice and I'm still a little confused.

When you cloned the i7, you do it from the other computer?

I get the i7 disc starts from the i7 computer when it is connected to the outside. Is this correct?

If the player starts in an external of the i7 box, but not in the computer the case most likely is the SATA cable to the hard drive.
