  • Device not recognized USB keeps popping up - Windows 7

I have been using a wireless keyboard with the Sony Vaio laptop with Win 7 64 bit for a year and, yesterday, the keyboard no longer works.  The keyboard works fine with 2 other laptop computers (Win7 and XP).  Even when I unplug the dongle, the message "USB device not recognized" keeps popping up ever minute or more.  All other USB devices (i.e., memory keys, portable HDs, etc) work very well.  I uninstalled all the USB controllers in Device Manager and rebooted (multiple times).  I tried to go back to a system since a couple of days restore point.  Nothing solves the problem.

I wish that the keyboard to work again, but also really want the message stop appearing.

    Thank you.

Thank you for your advice.  I tried all these.  None worked.

Suggestions posted another user, I completely turned off my Sony notebook; has out the battery. waited a few minutes; restarted and viola - no more boring don't pop up error message, no error in Device Manager and I use the USB keyboard Adesso WKB-3000 wireless key in the response.

  • Device not recognized USB message with iPhone 3g

Here's the story from the beginning, I hope that I have provide sufficient detail.

I got my iPhone 3 G is replaced. Therefore, a new phone... I went on iTunes in the middle of the restoration... It gave an error message and put my phone in recovery mode. Since my computer gives me the message "USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED" and appears as an "unknown device" in Bus USB controller in Device Manager.

I went to apple and they finished the restoration... I plugged the phone on other computers... It is therefore not the phone.

Still nothing pops up... It keeps giving me "USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED" I have uninstalled iTunes the right way... as Apple people walking through and reinstalled... the Apple Mobile Device is started.

I still get nothing... everything is... newly installed... Windows doesn't recognize just... that it doesn't show up as a camera... and it does not even charge my phone.

I tried different ports... and I get the same message... my camera and my sisters iPod shuffle connect correctly.

I really need help! I don't know what else to do... I need to work on this computer. It's a Toshiba Satellite Windows Xp SP3

I just went through two weeks of tampering with my 'old' computer trying to recognize my new 4370dn Canon multifunction printer after installing Windows 7.  I tried to reinstall Windows XP, uninstall the USB ports and hubs in Device Manager, update the printer drivers and several combinations of these elements.  In my case the ports would recognize external hard drives and flash drives, but my printer would come as a device not recognized.  Finally, what worked for me was to uninstall all the ports/USB hubs listed in Device Manager (they get automatically reinstalled with a soft reboot of the computer) again, download a driver from the Intel website (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/16023/a08/infinst_autol.exe&agr=&ProductID=&DwnldId=16023&strOSs=&OSFullName=&lang=eng) chipset installation utility and restart the computer.  When I plugged the USB cable from the printer, the normal process of new device was launched.
  • Device not recognized USB error message - all USB ports.

Apologies if all this seems a bit simple, but I'm not an expert, so bear with me.

I have a laptop Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 1718.

My USB ports have stopped working in 2-3 weeks.  I get the message "USB device not recognized.  One of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize... »

I don't seem to get any yellow exclamation point in device, all my drivers in Device Manager and software are up to date and Windows Update is running.

My mobile phone and ipod always charge when I plug them in and out of this problem, everything works fine.

In addition to the usual updates of Windows, only two other things have occurred since last, they worked.  One was that I renewed my subscription to Norton Antivirus, the other was that my laptop battery ran right out while he was in mode 'sleep' as I did not know that I had not plugged to the socket properly.

So far, I went through some process as suggested by various items and/or help & support on Microsoft.com.  They include:

    * (From multiple locations) system restore has failed.
    * Diagnostic software Ran Fujitsu Siemens, which says that my computer is fine.
    * Run the virus scan who come clean.
    * Tries to connect via a USB hub.
    * Deletied the USB controllers in Device Manager to re - install.
    * Changing the settings of ForceHcResetOnResume 3-to-1
    * Change AdditionalCriticalWorkerThreads from 0 to 2

(The last two I've changed back again after neither worked).

My opinion of beginner, it's that looks like it will create new registry details for each device when valid seem to exist already is not thankful.  Although given my lack of technical knowledge, this could well be stating the obvious.

So, now, I drew a blank.  Anyone got any ideas?  Got 9 months left a 3-year warranty, I don't want to go through the hassle if it can be avoided without too much trouble.

    Thanks in advance!

    Tim

Have you tried to use an external hub powered by USB power is very limited in a computer and if overloaded
    strange problems will come up.

    ------------------------------------------

Even if you did some of this departure please up and work until low and if necessary check
    with the utility.

Control Panel - Device Manager - click in the empty area - VIEW - show hidden devices

Now look everywhere EXCEPT the USB controllers for your device (cannot be found) and if you find
It RIGHT CLICK and UNINSTALL all. The device is your (s) or similar.

now go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers in the category, but the category itself.

    APPLY/OK

    RESET

This refresh battery USB and hopefully it will allow the unit to install. (You may need a powered hub)

Here is the similar procedure under XP, Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.

This is a utility to help you, but do 1 above.

USBDeview is a small utility that lists all USB devices currently connected to your computer, as well as all
USB devices that you previously used. Run Options and check the 1st three choices to see if one is there.
Try to remove all instances and restart then plug the drive.

  • Device not recognized USB - mouse

Hi - write a new thread that I raised in a previous which I suppose is not sought at the most. Mods - delete please if you always looked at the other thread.

I started intermittently gel experience with my old USB mouse, so I replaced it, that to have my new mouse (Canyon CNR-MSL7) begin to experience the same problems. Intermittent at first, but it became unusable over time - error "USB device not recognized". I tried two mice in another PC and they work fine. I use Vista is said by the way.

I had a hard disk separated on my laptop (Sony VAIO VGN-AR71S) failure so I sent away for repair. I advised the hardware failure Sony and my USB mouse problems - she is back with a new HD but they said they found no defects with the USB.
the mouse worked for about 1 day before I started getting the error 'USB device not recognized' again.

A system restore will obviously work for me because my hard drive has been replaced and I have the same problem I had before, despite the installation of the more updated version of vista to Sony.

The laptop has the most until drivers date etc, but does still not more than 95% of the time. I went through different threads here and I checked that everything is fine with the USB etc hubs, but not joy.

I checked the ports are feeding correctly and that they are.

I tried power down, stop and remove the advice of battery given here that seems to have worked so well for people but it does not work for me unfortunately.

Is someone of MS can advise if it is sought in order to create a solution that works for those of us who does not work for the option "disconnect"? I tried all the solutions to this problem listed on the various threads on this subject in this area and other forums. Or can someone tell me if there is anything I can buy to remove the problem? Equipment etc? I thought that an upgrade to windows 7 could help, but I've seen a lot of discussion here that clearly show the same problem that appears for people who use it.

Another new mouse like the ticket to me if you have hardware problems (and this is
    my best bet).

  • LASERJET 1022 device not recognized USB

When I connect my laserjet 1022 printer on my computer, I get the message "USB device not recognized". normally, I use Windows 7 64 bit, but I try to connect another computer that has Windows XP OS. Win7 or Win XP allows to print anything with appropriate drivers. I think that this is not a driver problem, it seems to be a hardware problem. Everybody respected this problem before, I can't use this printer.

also we have an another 1022 that works, I replace my printer to it and my printer is not yet printed.

If I have a hardware problem somebody advice me anything.

    Thanks for your help,

The printer will print a test if not connected to the computer page? If this isn't the case, then the hardware problem is the printer that is connected.

If you print a page of test if not connected to the computer, then the problem is on the side of the computer. Try another cable USB or port. Some computers, especially laptops, can have very delicate USB ports (my laptop Lenovo's ) and USB cables can go wrong.

  • Toshiba laptop A105-S1013 msg device not recognized USB.

    will not recognize usb keys.

right now, I don't have connection capabilities as I am waiting for AT & T to connect with DSL.

tried to connect to a wireless Belkin device but the USB does not recognize the he or the Belkin drivers on another device.

find WiFi driver update on the Toshiba site. will try and install from a cd that this update talks of G which seems to me the minimum required here in our mobile Park that requires WiFi.

Also will try to connect to the library or McDonald's today.

Is there a way re install the software for the USB that comes with the CD of the OS? I also searched on Toshiba, but there is no update for the USB driver.

Last January, I re installed Windows XP on this laptop and at that time there all worked as it should. Now, we're back in the Park and the laptop was not for months and it all started with the USB recognizing one of my memory sticks.

    Thank you.

  • device not recognized by Windows

    Hello

I have a problem with my camera, I saw a lot of posts here of a similar question, so do not know how to see that I have not seen any solution.

When I connect my camera to the USB port, Windows will try to install the drivers but complain that the device is not recognized.

I can see new driver added to 'my computer' under memory card format, but it is not accessible

If I try to delete the driver of drivers installed, it will reinstall with the same problem

If I connect using tips I've seen here (hold down and press the Center button) it will be recognized, but only for this session, moreover, when I do, I can't see or delete songs I've stored there before, but I can add new songs.

In any case, I can play those songs.

The format of the device or reolve somehow?

    On the device, go to

Settings > USBMode > select MSC.

That will force a permanent connection of MSC. You will not see the content of the PSG. First, you could reformat and start over.

Go to settings > Format > select Yes

I advise you to update the firmware while you are here.

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

What version are you running to XP?

According to M-referencing, this device is compatible with Windows XP SP2 Home / Professional Edition ONLY.

How do you connect your deivce? Take a look at this image.

If you simply connect with the USB, the nYou must not do anything other than plug according to the user's guide.

  • Maxtor One Touch 4 external hard drive not recognized by Windows 7 64 bit

I tried all 8 USB ports on my computer.
