  Can you confirm this?

  Usually the first check should be done in sign of-> sound-> the Read tab

  I don't know if the horizontal lines that you see on your iPhone are the result of the iOS 9.2.1 update but I will propose a number of things to try.  The first is to update your iPhone in order to ensure that the software is installed correctly.  If the problem persists, you will need to backup your iPhone and then restore it as a new device.  If after trying these software troubleshooting steps you still see horizontal lines, then your device will need to be inspected for a hardware problem.

• A loud hum from the speakers continues to worsen

  The hum of my speakers seems to be getting progressively stronger. When it is docked, I have to turn the volume down when I'm not playing anything because the buzz is strong enough to be stressful.   I m not 100% sure if it will help but compare the version of the BIOS of your laptop computer with the BIOS which is available on the Toshiba page. If there is a newer version, then try to upgrade. But be sure you use a good BIOS and the right to upgrade procedure.

  Not quite sure what could cause this noise problem, but it is possible that this crackling appears due some latency issues more often than it appears because the CPU is stressed by processes that run in the background.

  I recommend you to check this using a tool called DPC latency checking.
  Check if anything else is originally from weak increases DPC
