  I suggest trying these steps provided below and check if the problem is resolved.

  Step 1:

  a. right click on the c drive.
  b. Select Properties.
  (c) under the Tools tab.
  d. Select Defragment now under defragmentation.

  Step 2:

  Try the SFC scan on the computer.

  SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

• How to fix a message on PC WIN XP SP3 "Path was not found" when you try to access a server?

  I have three PCs running Windows XP, SP3.  Two of them are in need of you connecting to a server (2003).  We only use the server as a print server.  There is a HP all-in-one printer connected to the server.

  Everything worked fine until this week when the PC non-server, and server computers could no longer access the internet or sign on the server to activate the printer.  The PC on which I write ths investigation has access to the Internet, but not on the server or printer.

  When I try to sign the server as admin using a remote connection, I get a message "path not found".  When I go to my network places, I do not see the server, nor can I access a virtual drive that is set up on the server for storing shared files.

  I am NOT literate same server; I took the direction with basic knowledge of more 2 years ago.

  Can someone help me solve this issue?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

  It is really strange. I use the external DVD drive (DL) using the same cable. I tested it with several units (old Satellite 1900, Tecra M1 and also new Qosmio G20) and everything works perfectly.

  Check the power supply to the external HARD drive.

  Ive been running on XP for a decade with this pc. Other than the motherboard and hard drive upgrades. A few months ago, it started crashing, reinstalled xp disk Ghost and all is well.   You can image on a blank hard drive, but you certainly have hardware failures. Not a surprise with for example from the old machine. It could be a defect, motherboard, hard drive, RAM, other components. You can test yourself or take it to a local professional reputable (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place). However, I wouldn't put money in such an old machine. It will be uneconomic. If you are still working with the original motherboard, it comes from an old computer and you need to replace.

  I am using the same settings on firefox 3.6 and 4 except hardware acceleration (F3.6 - absent, F4 - active). I use Flash Player WIN 10,2,152,32 with hardware acceleration enabled (same as F3.6) on each computer

  There are two settings for hardware acceleration, as you know,

  1. Flash Player as explained in videos Flash will not play in full screen
  2. Firefox as explained in
     • Advanced panel - accessibility, navigation, network, updates, and other advanced settings in Firefox

  and it may be interesting to experiment with settings, try turning off hardware acceleration of firefox 4

  This is usually due to a mismatch between what is in the message store and what is in the database and is usually caused by invading antivirus software (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).  Try to compact and repair the database and see if that fixes the problem (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).
