Guarantee problem Lenovo L520

I bought a ThinkPad L520 (Type Machine 5016-C74) and I was told it has a warranty of 3 years. The problem is that when I enter the serial number in guaranteed state search Web page, I get the "error: Type of Machine or series not found!"

The same serial number work parts search page.

I called Lenovo Helpline in Greece, but they offer only the support for the products of the Ideapad, demand so contact me a service authorized centres. I called 2 of them, and they couldn't get results of warranty for my series either.

If someone had a similar problem, where a moderator can help with this? My receipt is enough to check the warranty of 3 years? I have an international warranty?

I sent an email from Lenovo warranty registration Department and they solved the problem.

    I recently bought a new Lenovo G770 computer and after some time began to experience problems with the ATI display driver who kept sparking blue screens (BSOD) and black screen crashes with the well-known message "the ATI display driver has stopped working and has successfully recovered".     So I'll be quick on my problem to go straight to the point. I installed Windows 8 to Dreamspark to try to update my system, may be faster. After the installation of the OS, I had problems after problems, including performance was extremely terrible!

    So I used my restore DVD to return to Windows 7 Pro. Now, I've updated all my drivers Lenovo Web sites and Intel, that not all drivers Lenovo has seemed to work.

    I never noticed before, but my light optical (digital sound, the red one on the side 3.5 mm plug right hand) is still on. IM pretty good with computers, but nothing that I don't seem to turn it off. Is it supposed to be on? Seems rather pointless if its still on.

    I guess I'm looking for assistance on this topic. I tried to disable the hardware, change of drivers... Ideas now. Any help is appreciated.

    I managed to get the drivers to work. I was about to try to install the drivers manually, but then I got the idea to try the XP drivers. BAM, they worked. I have no idea why XP drivers worked, but the pilots of 7 or 8 do not have.

  • HDD problem Lenovo G460

    Bought a Lenovo G460 comes with Windows 7 Home Premium only for more than a year. Ran fine with occasional BSOD who disappeared with a soft reboot.

    However, a month ago, the laptop had a recurring problem where the hard drive light does not illuminate on start-up and the rest blank screen and does not start at the startup LENOVO screen. Commissioning is then trial and error when the laptop may or may not have the problem when it is powered. With a fortnight of warranty left, I sent my laptop to the service where the hard drive was deemed to be defective and replaced. The laptop was then returned to me with a new hard drive.

    I then used as normal without any problems for about 2 weeks and the same problem arised yet. This is due to the hard drive again? Or is it a problem of motherboard connector now? Hope that some professionals can get back to me. Thank you.

    could be something else.
    try to remove the battery, disconnect the power supply, press the power button / stop for 30-40 seconds, replace the battery and check if it works.
    also, try to remove/replace, swap the RAM sticks.

    If you still don't see no any display, possible hardware problem. call lenovo support line and send it to the service.

    (and do not wear it in your bag, simply use special bags for laptops)

    It seems to be a problem with the CMOS or hardware devices. I suggest to refer to the user guide after Lenovo and check if you are pressing or using the button to boot to the BIOS settings.

    I recently bought a lenovo p500 idea from bestbuy about 3 weeks ago. just Thursday, I press the f11 key to decrease brightness and he imidiatley went very dark.
