I had searched the internet ther with no luck, even the seller has not

Wonder why?

Is currently working on the ATE to a Senor (aeronautical) oil level

Best regards

You must add a termination character to the chain of command. Normal display setting, you cannot add special characters. The value default of '-' display Codes for special characters. For example, \r for carriage return or \n for a new line. The characters of termination for your instrument are a little weird. Instead of trying to use ' \' Codes, it may be easier for you to use the string function of concantanate on the block schema to add the characters of endpoint as a string constant. I would say that this constant of string to hexadecimal display or by using an array of U8 to enter decimal/hexadecimal values, the stop character, then a byte array to a string.

Before doing all this, have you tested the communication with a program such as Hyperterminal terminal emulation?

Edit: I should have looked up those scan codes before you answer. A ctrl J is a newline (\n) and ctrl M CR (\r) so back to the control of the chain to '-' Codes and add \n\r. You can also try of \r\n.

Make your own driver using VISA or TCP/IP functions.  You have just need to know what commands to send, and how the data will come back.  Once you make the connection and read the manual, it should be simple enough to make a decent driver library.

  • Agilent 4156 bug or Labview driver bug?

    Hello

I use Labview 8.5 for Agilent 4156C for certain measures customerized control. Now, I have a problem. I need to configure at least 3 SMEs. I chose SMU 1-3.  I'm changing the sample program that come with the 4156C under labview driver installation. The problem is that when I use the Sub - VI Channe configure from 4156 Panel to change the configuration of SMU3 and SMU4, there is a message of error-1074000000. I choose simply SMU1 or SMU2 for the same operation, all right. What I did wrong, or there might be a few bugs? Thank you!

BTW, when I was looking for drivers for this equipment, I found 3 possible pilots with the keyword 'Agilent Technologies 4156C' and 'HP 4156C '. Are there different between these 3 drivers?

  • Inconsistent behavior with Ocean Optics LabVIEW driver

    Hello

I noticed an odd behavior when using the USB2000 Ocean Optics spectrometer. When I use the driver tools read the waveform, I get a waveform of pixels in length 2022. When I use the Ocean Optics (SprectraSuite) software I have a waveform of length 2048.

I first noticed this problem when I was looking at the spectrum of a light source that is known to be ~ 870nm. Using the LabVIEW driver, I saw a peak at ~ 857nm, but using the Ocean Optics software, I saw a pic to 870nm as expected. Please let me know if you can give no indication to this problem. Thank you

    Gregory

Just to be tied it on, I don't end up the front of the table of the spectrum with zeros to fill. It's certainly something that would deal with Ocean Optics (or the writer of the drivers). I do not change the driver because he could shoot me in the foot when you use one of the other patterns.

Also, I noticed that for the USB2000 Set integration time VI, the time units are milliseconds. The USB4000 (and what is suggested by the drivers/examples) use the microseconds.

Hope that these drivers can get an update soon!

  • Tektronix TDS2014C 2012 Labview driver

Hello, I have to deal with the problem of communication with the PC with LabView 2012 new oscilloscope. I downloaded all the drivers site Web

    http://sine.NI.com/apps/UTF8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=047216EC20B66FABE0440003BA7CCD...

and it seems that none of them work. TDS2014C is connected via USB and I am running Windows 7. In the control panel - Device Manager I see this device but to run without a driver, so there is some sort of error. I tried to find any other device just for Windows, but there is no driver. So please help me with this problem of TDS2014C drivers running on my computer in LabView.

Until I reinstalled LabView for 2012, it worked, but now, no, I don't know if it is possible because the new version of LabView it stopped working (a previous version of LabView was 2010 SP1).

OK everything is solved, the guys at tektronix has helped me. I have their answer qote:

With usb connections measuring instruments use USB - TMC to communicate, if you need a usb - tmc driver to get the highest level parts labview to work.

You can find one when trying to install TekVisa, or by installing the appropriate components of NI-Visa.

Then you can try to hit these urls to:

    or

(I do not use Labview myself, but looks like it is the piece that you miss).

  • How can I create a LabView driver with vi existing driver?

I am trying to create a driver for LabView 1553. I received the previously created driver files LabView 1553 of the manufacturer. I also used tools-> Instrumentation-> create an Instrument pilot project to start a new project. I used a new model and the block is now under Instrument i/o. I moved all the files previously created 1553 driver in the data folder in the project located in C:\Program File\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\1553Data\Public\Data.  I don't see any of the vi driver is available to the title of the Instrument I / O-> 1553Data. How can I make these usable vi?

Also, I'm not sure my files folders should go in (configuration, data, utilities, etc.).

    Thank you.

I thought about it. Here's how to insert the vi in the palette:

    Tools-> Advanced-> Edit Palette Set

I went into the data section and right click. There is a possibility to insert VI. I clicked on it and took my vi to insert and now it manifests.

  • NI LabVIEW driver for the SRS DS345 function generator generates error "(Hex 0xBFFF0011) insufficient location information or the device or resource is not present in the system."

    Hello

We have a generator function SRS DS345.

I just downloaded the driver NOR for the instrument on http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E9149659CE034080020E748....

After installation, the DS345 appears in MAX, and I can well communicate with him.

However, if I run the srds345 to Started.vi, I get an error "location information insufficient (Hex 0xBFFF0011) or the device or resource is not present in the system" from initialize it with Options.vi srds345 sub - vi.

The only change I did Exchange address GPIB 14 to 19, which is our function generator GPIB address. In addition, the

Functions of SRS DS345 generator of function palette is empty, even after you restart LabVIEW (see attachment). I'm using LabVIEW 8.5.1.

Your help in resolving this issue is appreciated. Thank you.

    Best regards

    Peter

Have you installed the driver from LabVIEW or copied directly from inst.lib?

The first is easier, and you don't have to restart LV more...

Error in a not filled gpib address points. I have not checked if this driver has a resource name visa or a string of gpib address old but in the first case, try the little triangle on the right at the slect address instead of by hand.

  • What should I do to make my gear compatible LabVIEW (driver development)?

I work for a manufacturer of industrial automation products. We create a new data recorder and we want to make it compatible, LabVIEW, so that users could easily use our product of LabVIEW. Our device will have series (RS-485) and Ethernet interfaces.

Do we not have to develop any kind of driver? Do we not have to subscribe to any program of 'partnership' with NEITHER? Where can I get information on how to proceed?

  • How to use the class IIA for LabVIEW driver wrappers?

    Hi all

I've read some texts on IVI compliance, but I have not quite how I wrap an IVI - COM to an IVI - C. Where is this done?

    In MAX, I see:

    -Configuration-> software-> IVI Compliance Package 3.3

    But no properties in there...

I have an analizer spectrum available drivers are only IVI - COM, but I want to wrap them up in IVI - C...

can someone tell me step by step how can I do this?

or maybe tell me some beginner tutorial?

    Kind regards

    JPLO

    Hello JPLO,

Before trying to communicate with your instrument using any sort of instrument drivers, you must confirm that you can connect at a lower level.  In most cases, this means through VISA, using MAX.  IVI - COM driver installation program should add a software module to the IVI Configuration, which is the MAX.  Most installers IVI - C also adds a pilot session, but you'll need to create a.

We include adaptors IVI - COM for class IVI - C with PKI pilots.  Here's a knockout who talk about them: IVI-C class for specific drivers IVI-COM driver Support

You can also simply treat the IVI - COM driver like any other ActiveX object.

What type of instrument you are using?

    See you soon,.

  • Bronkhorst driver for LabView 8.0

    Hi all

For my work, I built a new machine. I'll have to measure the gasflow and flow critical, open a faucet. On the side, I measure a difference in pressure and weight. As my background is far from the programming, it will be a great challenge :-)

On the flow, I am a flowmeter Bronkhorst, with a FlowDDE interface. So, I guess that this VI would help me a lot: http://www.morechemistry.com/labview/driver-bronkhorst/vi_bronkhorst_01.html

The problem is when I open this VI, it say I need at least LabView 8.2. I have 8.0.

Is there a way to use this VI anyway? Or have I missed an another VI can be used to import data easily FlowDDE? (I got the FlowDDE 4.62)

    Thank you.

    Best regards

    Renisaac

The VI in 8.0 is attached.

    DDE. Interesting.

If you encounter this new you can post downconvert queries in the thread Downconvert VI requests.

  • Instrument i/o Assistant not installed correctly. No driver file not supplied with the student of Labview version.

I installed the student version of Labview and the installation of 99%, there was a window that came.  The image just below this sentence "Installer of year DVD drivers NOR the device" at this link: http://www.ni.com/gettingstarted/installsoftware/instrumentcontrol.htm is the window that opens.  Now the problem is that I don't have a driver cd.  I downloaded a student version: http://ftp.ni.com/evaluation/labview/ekit/other/downloader/2012LV-WinEng_downloader.exe .  It is an installation file.  Then I tried to download a file of drivers, I came here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/3145/lang/en and I used the exe file that stores a file on the computer.  The record is just full of stuff like .bin files ect.

I then reinstalled everything after you have uninstalled it and return to 99% a few times, and the same window came that I listed above.  I try and tap the window the the location of the driver in all folders.  None of them work.  I even tried pointing to 488,2 records, IEEE and Visa, I downloaded and they do not work.  This message in red in the window remains, 'the specified folder does not contain the correct volume' and it gives you no idea what its looking for.  So I just said to skip that part and it finishes the installation.  I put in my access code and that seems to go ok.

After installation, I install the drivers IEEE and Visa 488,2.  Visa seems to include the wizard of e/s to istrumentom some how, but it does not solve the problem I describe below.

Then I go in and launch Labview and I start a project and go in view the block diagram.  I'm going by dragging in the "Instrument i/o Assistant" to connect a voltmeter of pcib-usb. When I double click on the "instrument I/O assistant" window "Measurement & Automation Explorer or the instrument i/o assistant isn't installed correctly.  Please install these on the LabVIEW driver CD.  But even once, I downloaded the driver CD seems unnecessary.  The directory of the driver folder is NI Device Drivers > Aug12 > Products > "a whole series of .msi files and .cab files ouch.

All I need is to access the Instrument i/o Assistant so I can set it up to connect with an instrument, I can be sure my program communicates properly with an instrument.  However, this is the 3rd day in the struggle with this program.  I was too frustrated this post yesterday and I'm feeling much better today.  Any suggestions on how to get this set up correctly?

Yes! Yes! ... sigh Yes... problem solved.  Aparently the driver download was not complete and it was not obvious until he had not downloaded part 2.  Therefore part has been downloaded drivers and it solved all my problems.  Choir of angels chimes in "Haleluah!"  OK thanks me and all wizards!  Pats me on the back.  Job well done.  o / glad I could get that off me chest.  And to think that some people paid, others to be able to listen to them talk to themselves D hehe.
