Hard disk - storage space Maximum allowed for Pavilion G7 2233 cl

Hello world

Long time lurker, first time here poster.  This forum helped me a lot when I removed Windows 8 and Windows 7 Professional installed for helping me find the right drivers for everything.  So thank you all for this.

in any case, on my question...

I'm modding my HP Pavillion G7 2233 portable cl.  I added a 512 GB SSD Crucial MX100, but I saw somewhere that someone who has exactly the same laptop replaced the DVD optical drive with a caddy to hold a second hard drive.  I want to add a second hard drive to use as media storage space, documents, video, photos, etc.  He will see a lot of movement between the download, delete, etc..  I didn't want my SSD doing so wear out prematurely.  I already bought a caddy for that.

My question is what is the spaced maximum storage allowed for the Pavilion G7 2233 cl?  I couldn't find the info on the BIOS to tell us what it is.

I have Windows 7 Professional installed (came pre-installed with Windows 8, but has been removed because it caused so many problems).

Happiness is not around the corner... it's IN the corner

1 TB is now the 'bigger' standard hard drive for your laptop (2 TB or 3 TB for desktop computers). There are bigger drives for laptops out there, but assistive technology that storage in a small space is still fairly new. Especially with new laptops, there is not a limit, in itself, the size of the hard drive, you can install.

Welcome to the community of bro.

    This problem may occur if:

    • The LUN size is greater than 2 TB - 512 bytes. The maximum size of the LUN in vSphere 4 is 2 TB - 512 bytes. For more information about this restriction, see Troubleshooting a unit number logic that extends in size beyond the limit of 2 TB/2047 GB (1004230).
    • This LUN has been used as an RDM earlier and does not have a valid partition table.
    • This logic unit number was used as a device to drive on another operating system and is not a valid partition table.
    • Logic unit number contains a GPT partition that cannot be deleted.

  • roar of hard disk and the computer freezes for a few seconds

My hard drive makes a sound whirring for a few weeks now and when I type in emails or messages like this, the computer freezes for a few seconds. Any ideas how to fix this?

A desktop computer. Your problem could be overheating.

You must remove the side panel right and remove dirt dust bunnies fans. Also, make sure that all the fans are working. Safety switch the computer off and pull the power cable before removing the side panel. You can then move the computer backon and check that the fans are working.

Then, turn off the computer and some time for that cool. It is best to use a wrist band, which you set on the casing of the computer to you the earth before touching anything inside the envelope. You can buy one in a store of computer accessories. Static electricity can damage a motherboard if you don't take precautions.

Then, you use a small brush to remove the sheep of dust around the fan on the processor. I used an electric razor, cleaning brush. I use an Air blower to clean the power supply fan. An air Duster is also useful fopr cleaning keyboards.

Removal of the dust bunnies should reduce the noise that makes your computer. It can also reduce overheating, which can lead to errors of Blue Screen of Death.

Another way to check the hard disk to see if it is overheating is to use HD Tune 2.55 (free):

  • Many storage spaces and data for each quarter of the year files

    Hello

I am junior DBA and I have a question about tablespace partitioning or data file sharing.

I have a database of 10g in many storage spaces, for example:

    KER_DATA_2009_Q1

    KER_DATA_2009_Q2

    KER_DATA_2009_Q3

    KER_DATA_2009_Q4

    KER_INDX_2009_Q1

    KER_INDX_2009_Q2

    KER_INDX_2009_Q3

    KER_INDX_2009_Q4

There is also a data file for each tablespace that is mentioned.

But for this year 2013, only two big storage space I can get one and data KER_DATA, KER_INDX files.

All tables and indexes in the whole database are KER_DATA, KER_INDX, tablespaces.

I don't know any cut in two storage spaces and means of data files. Is this something like tablespace partitioning? This can be done automatically or someone needed to do it manually on the end of each quarter?

This should be done to improve performance, several small files data instead a large?

Can some admin explain this to me?

The reason for this separation of database/tablespace was partitioning. There are a lot of tables partitioned by date column, and there are partitions for each quarter of the year. There are tablespace with a data file for each quarter (partition).

Very fast and all. I'm lucky to have a disk sata hard 7200 RPM autour so I upgraded which without problem. When the level I noticed that there are two memory banks, but only one of the populated with 4GB and a free module.

I wanted to add another 4 GB module because it is not that expensive but I looked at the link above and it does not say that it suport 8 GB.

Anyone know if I can add another 4 GB module for a total of 8 GB?

    Thank you

    Hello:

Simple card for your PC page is misleading in that it shows it comes standard with 4 GB of memory and goes on to say that it is expandable to 4 GB of memory.

I would interpret who just like you... Max is 4 GB, but I think they meant you can install another chip of 4 GB.

In any case, this is confirmed looking at your service on page 3 manual, where it provides memory configurations.

    8 GB is certainly supported.

  • Maximum RAM for Pavilion HPE h9 - 1215t

I have a Pavilion HPE h9 - 1215t (Core i7-3770 3.4 G 8 M 77 w CPU;) Card mother Formosa IPMMB-FM).  the system currently has 16 GB of ram (4 x 4).  Upgrades of what I can do and what dimm configuration?  Is 32 GB maximum for this system?  For example, you can swap 2 or the 4 GB DIMMs for 2 DIMMs of 8 GB each to make the total system 24 GB of ram?

    Hello

Dave would work rather than Jim.

I suspect that HP has fill not the 8 GB DIMMs in your PC model when it came out on the market, where the reason for not showing the configurations with 8 GB DIMMs.

Mixture of DIMM may or may not work and I saw all the messages on this forum to indicate success or failure with the mix 8 GB DIMM sizes with your HP PC model.

You could try buying two packs of two 8 GB DIMM if reallly you need more memory and see which combination works as appropriate.  You may need to go with 32 GB, but then you might face a decision of performance cost verses. If you can get 24GO to work then return the other DIMM package.

Find out what the return policy is before you buy.

  • check and blue or green box returns the hard disk storage

I had this problem every since I bought the external drive.  Loads of storage there, but when I view a file, if I use all or part of it, restore it, there is a blue or green box which returns with the restored item.  The green box is enabled, and the blue box has double arrows pointing to the right.  What a pain...  I placed in checked and removed indexing and archive capabilities, and who will be after several tests some of them take off the file, but so far I can only do one at a time.  I'd rather the machine in the dumpster than that and if I replace the external hard drive, I have one problem with another.  The problem has nothing to do with windows 7 or 8, I upgraded from 7 pro 8 and they both do the same thing.   ANY IDEAS?  EVEN A HINT?  ?  I THINK THAT I FORMAT THE DISK AND THROW IT INTO THE RIVER. .

  • T500 swallowing hard disk storage

T500 to my daughters, what's new in June shows 74% of the hard drive used in a box 'unparsed' 0 files, but uses more 94 GB.  I checked the repair and recovery and it shows no. backed up the files.  I deleted the DPR program and it did not recover any space.  Any ideas what is slowly corrodes the available storage. Incidentally, the hard drive is a renovated as the new died, and Lenovo sent under warranty as a 'replacement' a car refurbished.  The operating system is Vista.

  • Maximum RAM for Pavilion dv7-6107ee, product number LS048EA

    Hey there ' All,.

I currently have the OEM 8 GB RAM installed.  I run VMware Workstation 8 for a laboratory test on my laptop and I would really like to 16 GB of RAM, but it seems that I read a few places that this model is not expandable to 8 GB (which is funny because the model seems comes with 8 GB.) So much for an upgrade).

Before you buy 16 GB memory live, this laptop will support him?

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 with a processor Intel 320 160 GB SSD (SSD is worth every penny, incidentally!).

I just ran the Crucial System Scanner to see what he had to say and he acknowledged my system like a HP - Compaq IdeaPad U450p Laptop/Notebook.  This is not just, of course, but there may be a link any between the two I don't know.  States crucial System Scanner:

Each slot of memory can hold DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-10600, with a maximum of 4 GB per slot.*
    * May not exceed manufacturer supported memory.

Of course, the important part here, I've noticed, is that there is a maximum of 4 GB per slot because that's what HP is supported.  Does that mean that the system will recognize even 16 GB and it will not support the HP? Could there be stability problems if I do?  I'm looking for if I install 16 GB?

    See you soon,.

    Mike

    {Information}

    Hi, Mike:

According to the specifications of the system for your laptop, it comes with an Intel i7 processor.

Here is the link to the service manual for your PC.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02842278.PDF

There are two sets of specifications of memory depending on whether you have a processor AMD or Intel.

Since you have an Intel processor, you can install modules memory 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) in your PC.

Please see Chapter 1, page 6.

  • Maximum memory for Pavilion DV7t special edition running Windows 7 pro 64-bit with Intel i7 Q720

I have an entertainment 2009 Dv7t Special Edition running on Windows 7 64 bit with intention processor i7 Q720 @1 .60GZ. I have 8 G of ram now but need to go to the top. Can I put two 8 G in the slots. Read some reviews say the software works and Windows 7 pro 64-bit can take up to 132 G RAM, if that was even possible. I run two internal drives. But with the addition of the cloud and running photoshop on cloud too much memory is used, slow down the computer. You want to go to 16. Everybody does and no problem?

    Thank you

    Hello

As mentioned previously, there are SEVERAL dv7t editions and special editions. We have dv7t-3000, 4000-dv7t... and it is very difficult to find the right plug. Please use the following link to find the product/model number:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00033108

Your machine could be the following:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & dlc = in & lc = in & product = 5292645 &

If so, the #4 on the following manual page it support 16 GB max:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & dlc = in & lc = in & product = 5292645 &

You can have 2 x 8 GB, no choice. Only a few portable computers that have 4 slots and supports up to 32 GB. No way on this earth at this time, you can find a laptop that supports the 132 Gb of RAM.

    Kind regards.

  • How to find out really currently used physical memory and swap space of hard disk to the virtual computer running?

Suppose that I'm leaving WinXP hostOS a guestOS. Then a part of this guestOS remain in physical memory and another part is deployed on hard drive in the swap file resp swap partition.

First question: the complete *.vmdk loaded into memory/swap space or only the part that is currently required?

Perhaps only a *.vmdk 800 MB / 3GB is really responsible. But these 800 MB could be extended to 2 GB, because the content of these 800 MB is not compressed during load or guestOS drivers allocate additional memory.

*. VMDK size seems so NO indicator for the actual amount of used memory / swap.

How will I know how much physical (a) memory and (b) the hard disk swap space EXACTLY is currently occupied by a certain virtual machine running?

    mattad wrote:

The vmdk is not loaded into memory, because it is the drive of the virtual machine.

*. VMDK size seems so NO indicator for the actual amount of used memory / swap.

Yes, of course not. The memory used by the client is not related to the size of hard but the RAM assigned in the options of hardware reviews.

How will I know how much physical (a) memory and (b) the hard disk swap space EXACTLY is currently occupied by a certain virtual machine running?

Open the Task Manager and find a task vmware - vmx.exe or vmware-vmx - debug.exe.

The swap file should be used if you have chosen to allow that VMware Workstation is authorized to Exchange. The file where swaps to door expansion .vmem Workstation. Search folder of comments.

  • How to set the storage space allocated to the restoration of the system to 200 MB?

  • A hard disk, several key product

I work in an environment where a removable computer startup disk 1 is taken for 2 computer in a conference room for meetings.  Computer 1 and computer 2 have valid product keys.  A hard disk drive can be activated for two different computers?  The two activations will remain persistent or one replace the other?

You could create a 'Dual Boot' environment with both enabled versions of Windows 7 (the two computer) on a single disc. The article below covers a set of 32-bit and 64-bit, but the concept is the same with 32 Bit and 32-Bit or 64-Bit and 64 Bit system to dual-boot.

EasyBCD allows you to rename the boot menu that appears when you turn on the computer so his own version is loaded to the PC is installed on the drive.

Examples of names: Win 7 laboratory and room Conf of Win7

    Windows 7 - Dual Boot Windows 7 32-bit with Windows 7 64-Bit - parts 1 and 2
    http://www.PAGESTART.com/win7db06171101.html

Dual boot Windows 7 using a single new hard drive - well that is not what (32-bit or 64-bit) version of Windows first, install the 32-bit version for this article, will be installed everything first, followed by the 64-bit version. Of course, you could install both 32-bit versions or two 64-bit versions, but an environment 32-bit/64-bit double gives you the best of both worlds.

Hi everyone, I have my hard Western Digital RMA drive due to non repairable bad sectors. I currently have a version of windows upgrade 7 (I'm sure that my parents lost the activation key for > _ >) installed on the hard disk. Is it possible for me to transfer this Windows 7 nine hard disk? Or if I can't find the activation key to upgrade of version, can I install the previous version of windows 7 that I used before the upgrade, because I actually still have the product key for this copy. I wanted to understand this first before you begin the RMA process so I'm not stuck without an operating system once the replacement drive arrives. Thank you!

If you do not have a license, you will need to buy a new one.

If the license you say that you have is a retail license and did not come preinstalled on a computer or is not a version upgrade, you can use it. They must be of the same edition.
