• Problem importing HDL node VHDL

  Hi everyone, I'm using the HDL node in LabVIEW 8.6 for trying to import a VHDL design created using the of Matlab Simulink HDL coder. The problem I encounter is that design includes a state machine that HDL Coder created a separate VHDL file that the high-level VHDL to reference. At present, I found no way to tie the knot of HDL correctly this listing.

  I have attached the files VHDL, both "as generated" by the HDL coder and a version that I modified to make it compatible with the HDL node (as for change of clk_enable to enable_in).  The QEI.vhd is top level refers to the State in FSM.vhd machine. If someone could suggest a way to integrate the latter into the HDL node then it would really help my (very) limited VHDL.

  p.s. An idea that I think might work, but I'm not able to do (due to lack of knowledge of VHDL) would be to take the contents of FSM.vhd and include it in QEI.vhd. If someone could suggest a way to do that, then I'm pretty sure that would also solve the problem.

  I managed to do a rather rough work-around to combine the two files that I'm pretty happy with for the time being.

• Detection of contours in the HDL node

  I used a knot of HDL to interface vhdl code in labview. The code should simply turn an led 'on' and 'off' when a button is pressed or relased, respectively. But when I run the code, the LED will remain off despite pressure on the button or not.

  I'm not good in VHDL PROGRAMMIN but I need to demonstrate how to use the node VHDL to my presentation. Can someone help me with the button (or latch releasing proportionally) edge detection. ?

  I use sb - RIO and Labview 8.6 FPGA module.

  IP on IPNet will be written using the CLAMP which is much better for the implementation of VHDL in your LabVIEW FPGA code.  The following document describes some of the differences between the two.

  Also, something to keep in mind, from LabVIEW 2010 HDL node will be deprecated so to ensure future compatibility, you're better the CLIP path.

• Cannot find the HDL Interface node

  I have MyRio and LabView 2014 with all modules installed and updated to date.

  Xilinx 2014 is also installed and I can compile for FPGA.

  However, in the block diagram I find interface HDL node for the import of VHDL code. As see you in the second screenshot.

  There are no node integration IP in 2014 of LabView. Use instead the HDL Interface Node.

  Yes I used the HDL Interface Node and it has worked very well.

• HDL is not showing node do not

  Experience of other posts about it and have not yet understood what I am doing wrong.  I can't find the node of HDL in an FPGA VI.  I described the steps that I did below.  Seems to me all FPGA modules installed as well.  The only work around I could find was I open the sample project "with the help of HDL in Timed loop - R series' and copied and pasted the HDL of this VI block diagram node in mine.  This seems to be a pain for what I want to do - anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem?  Here are my Palette of programming to show you what I see:

  

  STEPS TO FOLLOW:

  • Create the empty project
  • Right-click on my computer and select new-> objectives and devices...
  • Click new target or device and select FlexRIO-> SMU-7966R
  • Right-click on the FPGA target and choose new-> VI
  • On the block schema do a right click and search for "HDL" or just look at the programming for Advanced-> HDL node Palette

  Hi Bill,

  What version of LabVIEW are you using? The crux of HDL is obsolete for many years now, and thats why he is more so on the pallets. To import the external IP address, we now recommend the integration of IP node (IPIN) or component-level IP (CLIP). For your information, a valuable information on how to use each can be found in the Help of LabVIEW FPGA.

  I DO NOT recommend that you use the HDL node for all new code development. The reason for which he still works, it's that support us because it is about so that we don't break upgraded code. If you absolutely must have the support of your application, you can do the following:

  1. In LabVIEW, go to Tools > advanced > Edit Palette put in...
  2. In the palette Editor window, select the palette you want than the HDL node to appear (I recommend Favorites, but what you are comfortable with is fine)
  3. Right-click and select Insert > VI (s)
  4. In the window that appears, switch to show all files
  5. Go to the browser window "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National 2012\vi.lib\rvi\HDLNode" or equivalent for your computer
  6. Select "nirviHDLNode.xnode", and then click Open
  7. Save your changes to the palette

  Yet once, a continuous development with the HDL node is not recommended, and the API has been deprecated for several years now.

  IM undergoing a project where I created a simplified model of a Powertrain engine. In the next paragraph, I'll go through briefly how I go about it, but I'm not sure if this will help solve you the problem that I have. To be honest, that it will probably be that I understand you're all busy people.

  The basic principles behind it are that RPM is an initial feed an equation which describes the torque curve. An initial couple comes from it and then using the appropriate ratio, it is multiplified, the friction losses are very roughly taken into account (currently looking for a better way to implement the friction losses, but that is besides the point...). Drag is developed using the engine rpm, converted to car speed rpm and threrefore wheel. Wheel torque is multiplied by the radius of the wheel, to find the force to the front, the drag force is then subtracted from the force before finding the net force feel of the car. This is then divided by the mass of the car to find the acceleration. The acceleration is then integrated with a systems integrator linear continues to find the speed and it is then added to the original engine rotation speed (after the relevant conversions).

  So my problem is that my program hits, the engine of 8500 rpm redline in what I can only assume is milliseconds. I fiddled about with the entry node settings, but I can't seem to make it work. Even though I know that the model is pretty gross I do think that his inaccurate THAT. • 11.1.1.7 WebCenter Portal spaces - external link question

  We have a space of organization created by another part of the team that has a model of navigation with links to tasks workflows and other internal resources.  Our part of the team change the navigation menu to incorporate links external https applications Oracle Forms/Reports. We are unable to open these links in a new window.  We can get the link to open the WebCenter space, but whatever option we choose in the field ' Open link in ", we always get the same result.

  I have a screenshot previously saved with an entry box when a user types in certain information. I like the look of the capture and everything is configured correctly, but I want to remove the sound effect hits. When I right click on the layer of the scenario hits, I don't get an option for her inhibition.

  Try clicking on Edit > Preferences... > project node > node settings. Once there you should find an option titled: play tap audio for typing registered when the project is built. Deselect the option, publish and see if it does what you want.

• Get rid of the mouse clicks while keeping the mouse?

  In the project, I'm trying, the published file a lot of mouse click sounds in places where I certainly don't want them - and sounds do not correspond to what is happening on the screen.
  I can't find a way to get rid of all mouse clicks, without getting rid of the mouse is.

  You can try first by clicking Edit > Preferences... > project node > node settings. Then deselect "include audio when the project is built. But who will probably do everything you need. • Inappropriate speech agent

  Hi all
  
  I feel stupid kind of announcement, but here goes. To convert text to speech, I chose accidentally the box "don't show this again" in the agent selection dialog box speech. Only problem is, it was reported Kate, and I prefer Paul.
  
  Now, the only way I see to change it is to go to Audio > speech and change management it slide by slide.
  
  Is there a way to change my speech agent 'default' Paul, as he now does not show me the selection dialog box when I convert the text to speech?

  Maybe you already know at this place:

  Click Edit > Preferences... > Global node > node settings, click on the Confirmation of messages... button.

  See if the checkbox at the bottom left the mention 'Speech Selection' has been deleted. If so, click it and dismiss the dialog boxes.

  I hope that will bring back the choice.

• Protocol settings NODES in LabVIEW using NI USB-8473

  Hi, I was recently introduced to this Protocol for diagnostics on the ECU.

  What I want to do: -.

  I want to read messages from the ECU using the program called 'UDS Diagnostic Demo', which is available in the game for example provided under the help section in LabVIEW.

  I know: -.

  I can communicate with ECU very well with the screws of NI-CAN and the same material (8473 NIUSB) I used initially for monitoring CAN messages.

  What I want to know: -.

  1. I don't know about the parameters I put the Protocol Settings section if I use UDS Protocol?
  
  
  2. What are Transmit and receive IDs, are these specific ECU or a few standard values?
  
  
  3. For UDS and ISO TP Normal mode chosen - I learned I didn't need to worry about the ID of the channel and Transmit / receive address Extensions but don't I care about periodical CAN ID?

  Also by reading this forum I came across an issue where it was mentioned as a transmit and receive ID 7E8 and 7E0 respectively. I also tried but no luck.

  Using values as specified in the screenshot, I'm able to run the VI and it doesn't give any errors but he don't give me any respinses ECU is.

  Any help will be much appreciated.

  I'm back with the solution. I managed reading ECU information such as part number, serial number and other settings engine such as temperature, pressure, battery voltage and so forth and on.

  When you use the example LabVIEW VIs for the UDS protocol you have no need of the fields under Protocol for diagnostic.vi settings open except transmission and reception ID. (Normal - value ISP TP transport protocol)

  After further reading on different ECU. I discovered this ID to pass - 7E0 and receipt ID - 7E8 are aone of the most common ID to connect with most calculators of major manufacturers such as Delphi.

  What ID service you will find standard IDs based on Protocol NODES here. For the propreitery ID, you need help from manufacturer or Integrator.

• Why the datasize property settings node does not

  

  The documentation says that this property is available on a read-only basis in the runtime. What I am doing wrong?

  It works with the other VI who is not running. I tried the property with the vi even node in both conditions. When the refernce vi was running it gave me error and he gave me the value when it is not running.

  You can use any Xilinx IP (or IP and others) in your external code. For example, if you generate a block of memory using block memory generator you can instantiate this IP in your own VHDL.

• Toshiba 39L4363DG TV loses the WIFI settings using sentences of past

  I bought a Toshiba 394363 DG TV two weeks ago.
