HDMI sound problem

Separated from this thread.

I do not understand why a BIOS update would fix it. Other people have this same problem. Nevertheless, I will not ask someone from asus to help me install a BIOS update, because I don't have the time, money or patience, and I don't even believe that he will do everything to solve the problem. The problem is not with the bios. Its a driver issue. In addition, I came here to help. Not to be told to go ask someone else for help.

Same here, I was shifted from the pillar to post for a week!

NOBODY SEEMS TO HAVE AN ANSWER!

I HAVE NO SOUND, THE SOUND CARD IS ON THE MOTHERBOARD.
DON'T TELL ME TO GOTO CONTROL PANEL OR DEVICE MANAGER THAT HE NOT THERE HAS NO SOLUTION, OR EVEN A MENTION OF HDMI!

HDMI works fine on my computer to WIN 10 BETA!

TULLY

Problem has been fixed by running the supplied with the motherboard installation CD!

  • Portege R700 - HDMI sound problem

    Hello

I am running Windows7 64 bit on a R700. When I connect to laptop to my flat screen tv by using the built in HDMI slot, I don't get all the sounds transmitted through my TV.
There is nothing wrong with my cable TV or HDMI that I use the same on my PS3 and everything works well.

Is there a setting that needs to change, or something? Is this a driver problem?

Any help would be appreciated gratefully.

    Best regards

    Hello

Have you tried to change the playback device in sound properties (read)?
Usually it should automatically work, but please try to change it manually.

  • New Blu - Ray HDMI sound problem

Whenever I play a most recent blu - ray with the Mediasmart DVD application disc, I get only sound through my speakers laptop even if my TV is plugged into the HDMI port and I can say that the port is the current output device into the cursor of the mouse on the sound icon on the taskbar.  I updated the driver program and its Mediasmart as much as I could.  If I play an old blu - ray or DVD, the sound comes out of the TV very well.  In addition, any other application that uses sound works fine too.

I tried the suggestion of HP in the FAQ where they tell me to put the "SPDIF (Digital out via HP docking station)' as the default in the sound control panel device.  But I don't get all the sounds for any application to do this.  I've noticed that the SPDIF device using IDT audio codec high definition, which is the only sound driver that I can update.  The NVIDIA HDMI output device which is under it in the control panel uses the NVIDIA High Definition audio instead, and I don't know how update if necessary.  Any suggestions?

BTW, I use a laptop HP HDX 16 with Vista Home premium 64-bit.

I had the same problem.  Here's what worked for me:

    Remove the drive blueray disc.

    Reboot the laptop.

Turn on the TV and select it's an HDMI input.

Connect the HDMI to the TV cable to the laptop.

The display shall transfer to the TV (laptop becomes black)

    Open the Mediasmart drive.

    Select DVD

    Open "Settings" (the gear symbol)

    Click the tab "Audio".

    Select "HDMI passthrough" and apply.

NOW, put the blueray disc in the drive.

Give it some time to start on its own.

(Note; If you try to adjust the "settings" with a disc in the drive, or without going through the HDMI cable connected, the "HDMI" passthrough not appear as an option.)

Now that I have followed this procedure, I got no additional problem. TV audio plays, not the laptop, and I can use my home theater sound system to take the "audio" television and he takes in my cable box (and increase the volume of the TV at the bottom).

I hope this helps. I was pulling on my hair until I discovered this. Let us know if it works for you.

  • Vista HDMI audio problems

I have a laptop HP pavilion dv4 1435 dx with chipset from intel.  When I plug a HDMI cable in the computer and in the order into my TV, the video is clear.  However the audio produced a crackling of high ground which is incredibly strong and sporadic.  I tried to update my Audio HDMI driver, but he says he has the most recent version.  Also, I tried to adjust the audio settings HDMI.  Is there a driver that is required for this operation which will solve the sound problem?

    Hi prototype852007

HDMI cables are supported, but not all, audio signals compatible HDMI video audio support cards. If your TV has an audio input, you might be able to connect an audio cable separated from your sound card of the PC directly to the TV and check out them.

Refer to the below links for more information.

If all the settings are correct, you can use the following steps and make sure the default audio device is correct-

    a. click Start type sound in the box start the search.
    b. click on his research at the top of the start menu.
    c. click the read tab notice the check mark next to the default device. For the most part
    users, the default device's speakers.
    d. Select the audio device output digital (HDMI) device to set as audio device as the default, and then click on set as default.
    e. click the Properties button, and then select the levels tab and make sure that the volume
is at 100 and not cut.
    f. click OK to save your settings and close the sound dialog box.

    I hope this helps.

  • Model Satellite L735 - 13 c sound problem

    Good night.
I have two laptops same home, model Satellite L735 - 13 c and the two I noticed that when you start Windows 7, when you update the database of a particular antivirus virus (if I can not name names) indicates a voice that has been updated, but the sound is cut and heard incorrectly.

I'm listening to music, then just open a web page, the same problem occurs, regardless of the operation is the same.

I tried to reinstall the audio driver, but has been updated with the latest version and is always the same.

He asks if there is a solution or a problem that is under warranty and also occurs in two teams that are the same model and material.

    Thank you very much.

    Ramon.

    Hello

The sound cut out only if an additional operation has been started: for example loading a Web page using Internet Explorer.
Otherwise, the sound is ok. Right?

From my point of view, it seems that this sound problem only appears if the CPU is stressed and some processes are running in the background.

Have you tried to reinstall the operating system or run the recovery in order to test this question on laptop preinstalled fees? In my opinion its worth a check!

  • Satellite C850-F211 - sound problems

I bought this laptop 3 months ago and since then, I have sound problems. Today the noise decided to not work and I can't hear a thing. If I put on some headphones or external speakers, I can hear the sound. Can anyone help?

I'm actually regretting ever buy this model and I do not know why I bought this laptop.

    > If I put on some headphones or external speakers, I can hear the sound. Can anyone help?

Looks like a malfunction of the internal speaker for me.

But have you checked the sound settings?
Go to control panel of-> sound-> playback and check the available devices.
The speakers in this tab? And if so, the speakers are marked as default device?

In addition it s worth it to reinstall the audio driver.
I guess its Realtek sound card.

So uninstall the driver audio Realtek (Control Panel-> programs) & features-> Realtek High definition audio driver.
Go to Device Manager and remove the device (Intel audio display) in the region:
    Controller audio, video and game.
Do the same in the area system devices: here to remove the entry: controller high definition audio.

    So finally reboot the device.
After restarting again, windows system should recognize the devices automatically deleted.
Wait that the devices have been installed. Now test the sound.
If you would get not all sounds through the speakers, or via a headset, install the driver Realtek audio.

But if this is not enough, I recommend to contact the service provider to check the speakers

  • Loss of the HDMI sound after the monitor stop

    System:

I have hooked the lappy HDMI cable to the TV (Toshiba 32DT2U or 32C110U, not sure) and had no sound.  Define sound from digital output (SPDIF) in Control Panel - still no sound.  Video drivers updated - make us it sound.  Update audio drivers - sound disappeared. Audio restoration pilot - still no sound. Re-install video drivers - make us it sound.  Reboot - we still have sound!  The Toshiba power on and turn it on again - no noise :( Re-install video drivers - still no sound :(

I rebooted after all the steps mentioned above.  I am aware of "the digital sound setting" in Control Panel, but it's not helping more.

  • e6530 with Nvidia NVS 5200 m - no HDMI sound

Hi guys, I'm trying to get HDMI sound through my e6530 with a Nvidia NVS card 5200 m.

I plug in the cable to the TV and get perfect video, but the sound is only through the laptop.

I looked a bit around solutions and most people suggest go to audio playback and HDMI audio setting as a default, but I have no audio HDMI or anything to that effect in my reading of the sound menu.  I also checked as well "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices" and the only thing that 'Speakers/headphones' I see 'helmet of Communication '.   I tried to activate "helmet of communication" also and set it as a default value, but which does not work either.

One possibility is that the card does not support HDMI audio, but I can't find information on that.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Sorry Ulf... I downloaded the video driver from Nvidia site... NOT the Dell Web site.

  • Sound problems on computer, cannot change the sound settings

I had a long-standing problem in the audio settings of the Control Panel on Windows 7 where I can't change settings, configure anything or especially toggle of the devices. The options are there, but they have no effect when selected. Recently, I tried to connect my laptop to a TV, and as I could not set as the default audio device, I finally decided to try to fix things. I deleted and reinstalled the software Realtek my laptop and everything he has done is completely turn off my speakers, and all attempts to reactivate failed them. The unit displays in the control panel as a default active device, but claims of the taskbar that there are no speakers is connected, and if I click to set up the Realtek Audio, I have the same situation that before where absolutely nothing is happening.

I tried troubleshooting sound problems, and all I get is the statement that an audio device is disabled, no attempt to fix or any option to enable. Apart from a system restore, that in general, I try to avoid, I feel that I have tried everything I can think of to fix this and only managed to make it worse. No help available would be appreciated to receive my laptop back to a functioning State.

Model is a fickle Dell XPS L501X, if this is any help.

I tried both of these methods several times without success, but since I found a result to this problem online. (Here: http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/solved-no-sound-the-unsolvable-problem-take-the-challenge-594113.html)

I will stick also the solution here should someone stumbles on this page in the future trying to solve the same problem:

Hi, go to start search and type cmd search will return the click right on cmd.exe and select "run as Administrator" at the prompt, type: -.

    Press enter, and then type:

Press enter, and then restart your computer

Thanks for the help though, Yann!

  • Sound problems. Error code:-5009: 0x8002802b installing drivers

Original title: problem with headphones from Windows 8.1 update

I downloaded Windows 8.1 because my computer kept bugging me to do this. Every since then, I had problems with the sound on my computer. I "cancelled" my laptop HP for Windows 8, but sound problems remain.

I have a laptop of HP 2000-2d19WM. I think the problem is with Realtek. I was advised to uninstall and reinstall realtek online. I've uninstalled it. Now, I can not re - install. I downloaded it from the Web to Realtek website and I get an error to start the wizard. It says Error Code:-5009: 0x8002802b when I do the Downloader. So, I downloaded the new drivers for Realtek via it HP Web site and "cancelled" my laptop HP for Windows 8. The problem is better but not completely gone.

The sound is really weird and sounds as if I am under water when I use my headset. Even when I listen without headphones the sound is very low, no matter what I do. I'm not a computer genius, but I'm not a novice either so I was trying to find a solution for about 2 days now.

    I am beyond frustrated.

I think it worked. I tried this but I also tried updating the drivers again and buying a whole new set of headphones. Between those three things, the sound seems to work again. Thanks Aarsh Sahai and thanks to everyone here for your help!
