Hearing of windows update/move

I have no problem with the sound quality or any type of registration issue.  However, I seem to have a video refresh problem.

The window 3.1 hearing move or move when I save or cause some editing tools window, I opened to the first plan to take on the image of the window in the background.  I then move the slider to get the window to redraw so I can see the toolbar of the window of effects rack, etc. to catch it and then move it off the screen to refresh properly (minimization and maximization of the window refreshes the window too).

I had the same problem on my laptop when I tested it as well and the demo I had before buying the full version does the same thing. I've attached a screenshot of what the screen looks like when it arrives. The open tool window is the window effects.

I tried resolutions and refresh rates.  My video driver is up-to-date on my desktop and laptop.  Someone else has this problem and is there a solution?

I have a 512 MB NVIDIA video card 7300 GS, under Windows XP SP3, 3 GB of RAM, Intel Duo core 2.13 Ghz

Thank you

Andy

If you have a Microsoft Intellimouse, uninstall the mouse driver and use the default Windows driver.

  • Movement of the tool from Windows Update troubleshooting

If you have a problem with Windows Update, please note that the links to the updated Windows Diagnostic tool (the tool for troubleshooting Windows Update akas) have changed.

Can now access using the link below:

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/GP/Windows-Update-issues/en-GB

The new direct link to the tool is:

    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=231149

This isn't an official announcement from Microsoft. I'm just afraid that, with so many current users of the problems of updates, to spread the word widely as soon as possible.

Noel Paton recently posted on 'bad' go.microsoft.com links to old/obsolete versions of the tool of diagnosis of MGA. I tend to not display these links unless I tested just them. [FWIW http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=56062 is always good.]

Also, FWIW, KB836941 is since 26 Feb-16 - MIA here but Google Cache still has https://goo.gl/02hltP (dated April 12-16.)

Chances are that Microsoft will continue to "rearrange the chairs" in the coming months, especially for Win7 & old stuff.

  • I've corrected the 10 Feb Windows update BSOD issue. What to do next?

Like many others my infographic died with a BSOD after the windows update Feb10th. Returning the suggested KB977165 had no effect, but fortunately after returning all the updates, my computer is back to life.
I have now a computer with windows update disabled with an update waiting that I suspect is causing the BSOD again if I turn on updates.
The various forums etc I found will tell you how to recover your computer on but none that I have found tell me if I can go back to windows update or how carefully remove any update caused the BSOD.
I haven't tried the "no support for Windows Update problems" for an answer and gave with an automated response telling me to try here.
Can someone please point me to a 'next steps' to recover completely from this?

I've heard reports of infected, media files cj. The two movies and songs that have been downloaded through Limewire.  If I hear anything else about it, I will be sure to post it here. All the protection we use still depends on who is using the keyboard or mouse click.

Suggest that you scan the system with Malwarebytes anti-malware , too.  Download the free version, install and allow update when installed.
Then click on the button scan and use the default quick scan setting. Once the scan is complete click on the button to display the results.
If sure all detected object is checked and then click on the button select Remove.
If nothing is detected, I would start the system into safe mode and do a Full scan, too. It will take time to finish but worth it.

One way that you would be able to be almost certain to 100% that you have detected and deleted all the bad creatures is to shoot on the hard drive, install it as a slave on another system and then scan the HD active.
Or you can create a BartsPE or Linux boot cd and the scanner without having to shoot HD.

Anyway is not elegant, to say the least, and not give the same level of confidence you would have with (ugh) formatting and reinstalling.

    Hi Jon,

Thank you for your response and delayed apology.
After that I will review the outcome of the System File Checker, it shows that there are corrupted files in impossible to remedy Windows and Windows system files. So the next step is no choice for the repair of Windows and if you have a computer of OEM manufacturer I'm afraid that you do not have to have.

You should ask the manufacturer of your computer to this Windows repair. If they're going to ask you to make a Windows Recovery please backup all your important files, as he'll recover your computer originally manufacture settings.

2 turn on the computer and when the POST (Power On Self Test) is completed, press the F8 key until you see Windows advance Options menu.

First I put t understand why post you the history of all email in this forum.
I put t think that s useful for everyone here

However, it seems that the guys at Microsoft couldn't t help and that's why it seems that your Windows operating system is really confused until

If your OS is confused upward then ONLY reinstall new would be really useful and recommended.

So take your recovery disk and the operating system to restore to the factory settings.

  • G 710 Windows Update does not work

I get error code 80072F8F when you try to use windows update. everyone knows about this problem? and are all solutions because microsoft comes empty... THX

    You can try this.

Open administrator command prompt (right click on start is the easier and faster way to do).
    Write these commands:

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop bits

Then delete or save the contents of the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution (I backed up just in case, but this solved my problem so I'll delete the backup). If it says that some files are in use, restart your computer and write the above commands in the prompt again, then he should be able to delete/move the rest of the files without a problem.

Once completed, simply write these commands in the command line:
    net start wuauserv

    net start bits

Hope this has solved your problem. Good luck!

  • Windows update fails with 0 x 80070424 among others (update agent will not install)

I tried to install iTunes 9.2 on my computer of girls running Vista 64 sp1.  It failed several times with an error message encrypted with public keys and RCH80.  I took this down to a problem of lack of security patches.  In the process, I noticed that Windows Update has been fails with error 0 x 80070424, indicating a required service was not running.

so I downloaded sp2, also the operation failed with error 0 x 80070424 even.  I checked the Background Intelligent Transfer and start-up and running (so I restarted), I checked Windows Update and it was also running and so I restarted.  Same result.  I've disabled UAC and restarted.  Still no joy.

Then I read an article on the subject, said a service called "Automatic updates" should be running, not only he was not running, did not exist. Some that I've been on something I downloaded "windowsupdateagent30 - x 64 .exe" to install the service.  Unfortunately, this fails with a fatal error, no number error, simply "windows has encountered a fatal error.

It is where I am at this time - trying to figure out a fix for this.  Thank you.  (I also disabled AV, firewall, etc., ran several antivirus scans, malware scans including Malware Bytes, AVG and Avast and MS Defender and rootkit detectors which come clean).

OK I found this user Mohsen Arjomand:

    3. copy the file TrustedInstaller.exe in C:\Windows\servicing folder.

    Step 3: Registry backup
    ===================

    2. Select the computer (the root node) in the left pane, click export under the

and type backup in file name. Click Save.

After that, please refer to the following procedure to import the registry key.

    Step 4: Import TrustedInstaller.reg
    ===========================
    1. double-click on the TrustedInstaller.reg file in the file Fix.zip.
    2. click Yes when you are prompted to import.

Restart the computer and check if Windows Update works.

And then manually install the components of update as stated in...

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/949104/

    Voila!

It's annoying that it is a known problem with the trustedinstaller.exe being corrupted and or deleted, but it is so hard to find an answer to the question.
