"Help and support" no longer works for Windows 7 reviews

"Help and support" on my Windows 7 does more for me as a user. It worked well for years and still works if I log in as an administrator. As long as user, I get the "help and support" and then search engine whatever it either in the search box returns with '0 results for the WORD '. For example if I am looking for the word 'file', he returns with "0 results for file .

How can this be repaired? I really liked being able to use the search of Win 7 "help and support" feature thank you.

  • Help and Support does not work as you wish

Original title: Help and Support Center

I'm finding that doing a search using Help and Support Center search box, looking for is more responses on the microsoft site, as it has already done. This aid was dropped for Microsoftxp home version 2002 service pack 3 , or is there a problem that I don't know about my system? Any help or information would be appreciated.

For those who have experienced this problem

I note that all solutions have been validated, IE

    1 re - install & support.

    2. run SFC/scannow,

    3. create a new user profile by means of microsoft suggeted,

"Are not, (I repeat, not) work to solve this problem

The only solution I've found that works is to

    1 create a new user

    2. move ( NOT copy) all of your files and folders in My Documents,my music, my pictures, and my videos folders of your damageduser profile for the new user profile in place corresponding installs under this new profile.

    3. do not copy or move hidden files or folders that you do not have created and hidden from yourself.

    4. you must also ensure you save settings, emails and contacts (contacts already in the .pst in Outlook file) by using the appropriate method for your e-mail program to allow for the recovery of these in your new profile.

    5. you can export your Favorites RSS (and biscuits)Internet Explorer under your old profile to a file in your new profile, and then import them from your new profile, after that you run Internet Explorer from here.

    6. don't worry about the programs, they are available to all users.

I hope this can help someone else, who had the same problem I did.

I should add that my HP laptop has an OEM program which seems to be an overlay on the Windows Help.  It is also not available in the administrator account.

  • Office applications and others no longer work on Windows 7

I used msconfig.exe and Task Scheduler to disable bloatware and now many apps will not work.

    I receive messages such as:

Windows cannot find "C:\Program Files (x86)\Wondershare\PDFelement_bing\PDFelement.exe'.)" Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.

I get this even if I click the .exe file directly. I did everything except the Container.dll bottom, which I removed as I was led to believe that he is a dangerous file. Still no luck. Software not working anymore. I can't roll back to a previous restore point as by computer, has never been able to do despite all my efforts, and I've never been able to get any type of backup to work either.

Someone at - it an idea what causes this problem?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

This could be due to some system conflicts.

    Try the methods.

    Method 1:

I suggest you perform a Scan SFC and check if it helps.

    Check the following link below.
    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/929833

Note: Although SFC analysis I recommend that you ensure that there are no applications or programs running on the background.

    Method 2:

I suggest to create a new user profile and check if that helps.

  • CREATIX card TV no longer works for Windows Media Center after you install Vista Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional

I recently updated my computer Windows Vista Edition Medion Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. While my computer was running Vista, I could use the tuner TV SAA7131 Creatix card in my computer to watch digital TV British, that is to say Freeview. Before my upgrade to Windows 7, I checked all my drivers would be compatible, and the Advisory program told me that they would be sufficient. However, when I tried to setup of the library to receive a TV signal, the implementation will not progress beyond the screen "Considering television signals" Percentage of completion bar gets to about 90% and then does not move, or entirely 100%, but the screen does not change, and if I try to return to the main menu screen, Windows Media Center crashes with the 'circle of rotation of loading"and does not change.

I reinstalled Cyberlink Home Cinema after realization of the Medion TV improve extra that comes with it, but that didn't seem to help. The same problem persists.

I have still the disk with the drivers on, but I'm not sure how to reinstall the drivers using the disk, because the record for drivers TV Tuner does she not an executable file, just a series of system files, application extensions and the DAT files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must find the CTX driver version in the code of your tv card provider (poster Device Manager it under hardware ID in the Details tab) in the list of suppliers PDF in the FAQ section of the site Creatix. Then, you can download the right CTX driver from the support section. Is there a Windows 7 driver for my SAA7131 card.

  • The guide to "Help and Support Center" installed for Windows XP Media Center 2004 is largely outdated and must be updated.

I have version Dell of Windows Media Center 2005 (service pack 3) installed on my XPS 600 desktop computer.  The installed Help and Support Center guide date for use with Windows Media Center 2004 and has never been updated to include most of the changes system over the past six years. Dell or Microsoft should be responsible for the update of the guides or instructions that are installed on the operating system. Not only that, but Media Center and Movie Maker themselves also grossly neglected as updates are concerned.
The currently installed Help and Support Center guide is missing details on significant changes to Windows applications and utilities.  I rely on up-to-date information to make changes to my OS applications and utilities.  There is a lot of information in this guide that is incomplete and misleading and therefore not very reliable.
I have an OEM of Windows XP version and I wonder if there is an update of current or replacement for this system guide and who is responsible for the update.

Nothing in XP will be updated. The current Windows operating system is Windows 7. XP is already three iterations of the windows behind. A great substitute for the XP search feature (which was never very good) is Agent free Ransack.

  • Get help to use local help and support Help Center for XP sp3

Help and support center does not open, msg says help and support service does not work, but check indicates it is enabled, but error msg says 1083, the program does not work?

To get ideas that are not a wild-goose chase or a waste of your time, you should try to post the exact error messages you see and not paraphrase them.

For example, you see a message like this?

Windows cannot open help and Support because a system service is not ongoing enforcement.
To resolve this problem, start the service named 'help and Support '.

As long as the Service is not disabled (it can be manual or automatic), if it is not executed, it should start automatically as you open the help and Support Center.   It doesn't have to be set to automatic to work.

You have checked and your help and support is not disabled, no?  If it is disabled, you will surely get that message, so it must be either manual or automatic.

Where and how you see this message 1083 and what the program that does not work?  I don't understand that part at all if you need clarify the part.

In addition, since the MS Answers forum still does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, you would be better served by answering a few questions:

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If the help and support used to work, what do you think might have changed since the last time it worked correctly?

You have now or have you ever used third-party applications on your system where the product description includes descriptive as sentences:

cleaner, mechanic, detective, doctor, heal, optimize, clean up, tune up, speed up, set towards the top, compact, compress, faster, power, boost, boost, gum, muncher. one click fix, new, intuitive, errors, stop crashes, stop errors, improves, saves you money, risk free, guaranteed or any third-party program that has an icon that looks like a gear, pinion, key, key, whirling arrow or screwdriver?
