  • 8007065B Windows Update will not install language packs

In the past, I have installed language packs. It has been long since I tried, or needed to. Recently I tried to install the Japanese language pack, only to get the error of 8007065B, which I have found no solution for.

I tried to manually install the language pack download Windows Update, and I said that it's incompatible. The same goes for any language pack.

I think I can have interrupted an update a long time there, which gives a language pack partially down, or something similar. I don't remember very well, however. Maybe some file system has been damaged which causes all of the language packs seem incompatible?

However, I am at my wits end here. I have no real understanding of what may be the problem.

    Hi Imrinfected,

    1. which edition of Windows is installed on the computer?
    2. do you have any security software installed on the system?

This problem occurs if a previous Windows Update process did not cause the computer to be in a corrupted state. This prevents the installation of any language pack.

Step 1: Check if the Japanese language pack is listed, if so, then remove
    a. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
    b. in the Control Panel, click clock, language, and region, click on regional and Language Options and then click on Change display language.
    c. on the keyboard and languages tab, click install/uninstall languages under display language. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    d. in choosing to install or remove languages, click on remove languages.
    e. under Select the languages that you want to delete, select the language that you want to remove, and then click Next.
    f. click on the language you want to remove and then click on remove.
    g. restart the computer and try to install the package of language manually in safe mode.
If you are using Vista, so check out http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942903/

    I hope this helps.

  • I get 'Invalid key' when you install Windows XP SP3 Home Edition from a CD at retail and used the OEM key

I restore an HP Pavilion computer and try to install Windows XP Home Edition, with the button on the side of the computer.  I contacted HP and they no longer have an available for this computer recovery CD.  So, I tried to install a copy of Windows XP Edition retail family, but when I enter the OEM product key I get "invalid key".  I read on this forum that you can not mix the OEM disc/keys with detail, but it seems that I don't have to buy another copy of Windows when it came with my computer.  What choices do I have?

    None!

So I don't Support HP and Microsoft no help either.  Activation Center asked me to call the Department of parts (which is incorrect) and the parts Department told me that they cannot provide Windows which was distributed by HP!  Microsoft changed this start with Vista, so I do not understand why they are always telling customers that.

  • Lost network access after installing SP3 on XP Home Edition

I have several computers running a combination of XP Pro, XP Home, Vista and Windows 7 on a network home. I just updated the XP Home Edition SP3 from SP2 (XP Pro running SP3). After that, I lost the ability to access to the files on the XP Home Edition on the other computers. I have granted privileges of sharing and can see the computer in my workgroup. But when I try to access the share, I get the error message \\Name "is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Logon failure: the user has not granted the type of logon required on this computer. »

I am the administrator. How to grant the necessary rights?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Unshare and re - share the folder on the PC SharedDocs.  Then, try to access it from the laptop.

If this does not help, what version of XP each computer there?  Network installation share may differ between XP Home and XP Professional.

If the PC is XP Professional, go to control panel > Folder Options > view and scroll to the end of the list of advanced settings.  If "Use sharing simple files (recommended)" is checked or unchecked?

  • Clean install of Windows XP Home Edition. How will I know if I need any driver to install?

I recently installed Windows XP Home Edition on my PC and I don't know if I'm away from all the drivers. Everything SEEMS to work fine, but I just want to know if I do any driver installs.

Right mouse on my computer, properties, select hardware then click on Device Manager look here on the devices if you see point exclamation or question marks on one of them or more, then you should correct the error by installing the correct driver for these devices, and if you don't see anything. Then, everything is ok with you.
