  Before trying to upgrade the firmware again, please reset the router by pressing button reset for 40 to 50 seconds long. This should help make the firmware upgrade a success. If it is not always works, try to upgrade the firmware using a tftp utility instead of the router interface based on user's web. The tftp utility can be downloaded from here. Please download and save the IRB on your computer. Once it is saved, run the .exe file. It will ask you the router's IP and password, and then select the file. Select the downloaded firmware file and see if it works.

  I just installed Linksys WRT56G2 and the wifi works. I managed to send a few ports for my machine for applications and games. However, I always use this address IP special so that I don't have change the settings everytime I connect.

  I used a Netgear router before and there was a possibility to map a particular to my MAC address IP address so that the IP is reserved for me. I wonder if there are similar functions in WRT56G2, and could someone tell me how to do it if there is? I heard there is also a way to set up your computer so that it always uses the same IP address. Although it is less preferred (because I use different wifi in different places), could someone please also tell me how to do if the first way is impossible?

  If you are talking about a DHCP reservation using your computer that will always get the IP value automatically. But your dosent Linksys router feauter is installed. So the only option for you is to assign a static to your computer IP address whenever you are connected to your home network.

• Help Server port security...

  I have install a VMware View virtual security server in our environment.  I install a second vSwitch use DMZ on the host computer and it gave a new group of ports for use of the DMZ.  Security Server VM uses the new DMZ port group.  I have that a dedicated server will switch to DMZ, then back to the DMZ port on our firewall.

  Our firewall is managed by our ISP (I'm a one man IT Department in a large (for a computer scientist, in any case) environment so it helps me to deal with other tasks).  After talking with them several times, they assure me that everything is configured correctly so that there must be a problem with my VMware setup which I don't see.

  I have an external IP address dedicated to security server I've had linking an internal IP on a DMZ subnet dedicated by the first paragraph.  I open ports UDP and TCP 80, 553-4172 for security server and also to pass these same ports on our view connection server that is located on our private network.  (I've changed port 443 by default to 553 as my original thought was that something must be blocking 443 on the side of VMware)

  I am with them in that port rules are simple to set up-side firewall so I do not know there is no problem, especially after talking with four different technicians who all looked Setup and confirm that it was accurate.

  If I do a scan of port of the outer harbour, 4172 appear as being open, but when I scan port 553 it is closed.  This drives me batty as it doesn't seem to be much to screw - up in terms of setting this up.

  I'm also curious how to require the use of RSA devices only for the customers who connect throug Security Server.  If I place a replica of connection to the server, will not be the same configuration be used on both servers, which means that I couldn't activate RSA on the other without having to be on the other?

  • What exactly happens when you try to edit/delete the rule?

  Try the following steps if you have not yet tried and check.

  1 start Windows Live Mail and sign if requested.

  2. in the menu bar, click the Folders option.

  3. click on the option of Message rules on the left side.

  4. choose rule e-mail that you want to edit/delete your messages.

  If the problem persists, you can try to repair Windows Essentials program as it may be damaged.

  1. click on the Start menu.

  2. click on Control Panel.

  3. click on programs.

  4. click on programs and features.

  5. search for Windows Essentials on the list and select it.

  6. click on Uninstall/Change.

  7. click on fix all programs Windows Essentials.

  1. Please remove the port forwarding rule

  2. go in under UPnP settings, the management of the services and you will see an external port and internal port so please configure external port 443 and internal to 5001 and click Add, please do not enable UPnP

  3. on the same page, please choose the service that you have created and put the server's internal IP address
