• Pavilion dv7-6135dx screens on the video driver blue igdpmd64.sys after the platform update KB2670838

  Windows Update has delivered platform update KB2670838 Feb. 27.

  After that, any time I open Internet Explorer, I get a blue screen of death which calls igdpmd64.sys, which is part of the video driver.

  I tried to install the latest video driver HP site was for this machine, even though it is dated as a couple of years.  But he says that I don't have the minimum requirements.   !!??

  All major issues! Sorry to hear that you use in the blue screens, but you did a good job of troubleshooting. I'll answer the questions in the order that you asked them.

  1 and 2.  Here is a link to the Microsoft Forumwhere there was a similar question. It looks like uninstalling and hiding the implementation update will correct the problem. To uninstall an update,

  • Click Start
  • Program 'type '.
  • Click on programs and features
  • Click View Installed Updates (left)
  • Search for KB2670838.
  • Select this option and click on uninstall.

  To hide the update,

  • Click Start
  • Type "update".
  • Click on Windows Update
  • Click Find updates
  • Click "# important updates available"
  • Search for KB2670838
  • Right-click on it and click on hide (you can always restore hidden updates in the future if you want by clicking on "restore hidden updates" from the main screen of Windows Update.

  3. here is the correct driver for your laptop HP Special Page. I think you're probably already doing it correctly, but just in case. How many times have you tried this driver? Try a couple of times.

  3B. Yes you could certainly try the next previous driver.

  3 c. the drivers coming from Intel or ATI are almost the same driver in most cases. We invite you to try them because they can always be uninstalled. Just, they are not guaranteed to work properly for your specific model.

  5. to reinstall the driver of origin or any other original software that is preinstalled on your laptop, you can use HP Recovery Manager.

  • Click Start
  • Type "HP recovery".
  • Click HP Recovery Manager
  • Click re - install the drivers and software.
  • Scroll through the list and select drivers or software to install. These drivers will still be available on your page of driver as well.

  6 here is a link on how to reinstall Windows from the recovery partition. In the links in blue at the top, click on "Recovering from the start (in the system startup) screen". This is a very simple process.

• Satellite M100 - screen turns white when you press the bottom of the frame of the screen

  I have a strange problem with my Satellite M100.

  When to start the laptop, the screen is totally blank.
  When hand press to the middle part of the bottom of the frame of the screen (black plastic frame) the display looks fine, as long as I am pressing on it.
  When let pressing, the screen becomes funny,

  Also noticed, when top screen downstairs, appears blurry white screen.
  But the screen is OK as long as I pressed the plastic at the bottom of the screen frame.

  Any idea would be greatly appreciated, want to confirm which part is faulty, so I can avoid replacing the whole LCD.

• HP Pavilion screen flicker

  I have a P7-1054 with 6 GB of RAM... If I open a window with another thing black on it and it gets too big on the screen (too much color), the entire screen will begin to Flash.  Windows more I opened, the worse the flicker becomes... and by 'Flicker', I hear whole screen goes black and then comes back on again... like he has paint from the top down... and 'worse', I mean the paint becomes slower and slower I have open new windows.  It's in the computer, not the monitor because the mouse hangs out with each Flash.

  She broke in February and HP he shipped to the factory and replaced the hard drive and CPU... It flickered a little then but was not too bad.  Then, I didn't use it much and now it is almost unusable because the flicker is so bad.

  I installed the ATI graphics card update (as well as all the other drivers in the Manager install AMD that linking installed)... Also updated the BIOS.

  Nothing else seemed to work so I switched to DVI/VGA... the VGA connection seems to be perfect so far... I guess that means that there is a hardware problem with the DVI connection.

  It is not IW so I guess I either buy a new motherboard or stay with VGA... because I wanted 3 installation of the monitor, the VGA connection and a new video card will probably work for me.

• Envy dv7-7202tx black screen at shutdown (inside information)

  When you hear "black screen at shutdown", you might think I'm trolling, but I'm not. What I'm talking about, it is that when I try to close my laptop, it actually not-.-it will freeze on a black screen while the laptop is still on (fan is still underway off the coast), the only way to close it in fact at this State is through hard reset (holding the power button).

  I've updated to 2015.5 and now when I click on the fluidity, it opens the image in section fluidity, but the picture does not appear and all part of the image is hidden by a red solid screen, as shown in the attached picture.   Because of the new toolbar (you can hide tools), there is an option in the bar 'customize' > «Disable shortcuts for hidden Extras toolbar»

  Since that I've hidden the icon to toggle screen mode, it has disabled the shortcut. I unchecked the option, now it works.

• Hidden captions appear quickly on the transitions

  Hi All - anyone have this problem?

  I have several legends that are on slide 1 and set to appear for the "rest of project".  For a few slides in the middle (lets say 10, 11 and 12), I use the function of hide to hide all the legends of the slide open. When I publish and consult the project, these legends are hidden when they are supposed to be, but they Flash on the screen to the right quickly between slides. So, when the project moves to slide 10 to 11, the hidden legends flashing on the screen and then disappear again.

  I tried to add the skin to the event on Slide Close also, but this did not help.

  Any advice will be appreciated!

  For what it's worth, it's probably a little bug. You see similar things happen with the use of Variables in captions. Very briefly, you see the variable placeholder and suddenly, the legend is filled with the value of the variable. So I think that the same basic question goes here.

  Unfortunately, I'm not sure of any workaround for it. Maybe try an image of the slide or perhaps an object to display which is placed above the objects and they obscurciraient? You will apply the same settings to hide the layer. My thought is that perhaps he would be displayed also very briefly, but you will also notice bad and it can totally hide the others.

  Any idea on what should be my next move?

  I called a repairshop, and the guy who I spoke told me that they would charge 50 euros just to open it and that he was afraid he would get a new lcd screen that would cost me an another 150 euros. I can't afford it, or I don't think it would be a smart move to do a 200 euros on this laptop repair...

  now because the backlight went briefly and then, I'm kind of hopeing the cable that connects the screen to the computer could be broken / not connected correctly. I found a repair manual which makes me think that I can change myself, but: is there a way I can make sure that the default is before trying to connect a new cable? What kind of cable should I and where can I get it?

  The FL Inverter control the backlight of the display and so I think that it s inverter FL.

  It is a small hidden part behind the plastic screen frame.
  I put t know ho much is it, but it s not very expensive as display itself.

• Satellite A100 display empty but external vga works

  my two-year old Satellite A100-847 screen has stopped working. I used the external VGA monitor for a few days,
  and then switched back to laptop computer LCD and discovered that it doesn't work. It shows nothing, only the gray backlight.
  The LCD does not work even at start-up in WIN XP, or AC or battery power. I tried to disassemble the screen according to some guide
