my computer keeps rite time. any suggestion?

[DIAGX:]
CMOS battery problem.
For desktop computers, it can be given.
For laptops, replacement or repair can fix.

[SOLUTION]
But if your online or have an internet connection, it's easy

Step 1
adjust date/time

Step 2
go to the internet time tab

and the value:

  • System tray clock does not hold time

    I have a laptop DV6 3000 running on Win7-64 Home Entertainment.

The clock in the system tray is not keeping time. Research Interent showed me the battery on the motherboard, I traded that last night with a new one and it is still wasting time. It seems to stop at that time, I finally used the laptop.

Any suggestions on what else to try?

  • Lose Satellite M100 PSMA0A time but no date.

    Hello

I have a portable Satellite M100 (PSMA0A-0J4002), who has problems with the hold time. He lost several hours in normal operation (mains or battery power or even with no battery and only AC). It stops when the computer goes into hibernation or is disabled.

My Windows time zones are correct and I turned off automatic updates of internet time too.
The strange thing is that the date never changes! It's not 1980 or similar when the battery is removed. That means it's not the CMOS battery?
I disassembled the laptop looking for the CMOS battery, but it is soldered in. Is this correct?

I don't know if it's relevant or related, but sometimes the screen turns black after emerging from hibernation and the laptop must be turned off and when he comes back he asked something like: clear memory and reboot or restart.
I have to choose erase the memory and restart. Very rarely, I also have the blue screen of death with count upwards saying that memory dumping (I think).

I deleted my firewall and AV programs but still lost time.

Anyone is able to help please?
Is it likely to be material, battery CMOS or software?

    Thanks in anticipation!

    > I disassembled the laptop looking for the CMOS battery, but it is soldered in. Is this correct?
I m not very well how it s mounted on laptop M100, but in many cases the CMOS batteries are not easy to remove it s always a job for technicians of the ASP

The issue of the date and time may be linked to the CMOS battery
Usually, you can charge this battery easily.
In order to load the CMOS battery, the laptop must be connected to the power adapter and the laptop must cover more than 20hours.
After that the CMOS battery needs to be recharged.

But if the question seems yet, then you should check if the update of the BIOS might help if not it s a motherboard problem that should be checked by a technician of laptop!

  • My problem is setting in my office date and time.

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone! every time I have to connect to my laptop, an error message will appear. I need to check my date and time. and when I check, it does not. I tried manually reseting but it did not work when I restart my computer. Also in my date & time zone there is no specific place which may work for me. Theres no philippines listed. And I tried the update at the time of the internet and the answer is successful. but when I re start my computer is the same problem I met.

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Chances are good that the CMOS battery that powers the clock when the computer is shut down has not or it is so low, that it is working properly.  Try to replace the battery and see if that solves the problem with the clock not the hold time (and this willl happen if you use the time synchronization because when the power is off, the clock needs the battery to keep read time).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Timer standby and resumption of the workflow problem.

Has anyone ran this question before, and if so, how do solve you?

I have a fairly simple workflow that I use in my Sleep function in my workflow:

    workflow.PNG

'Set date' just creates a date object that is waiting specified seconds time in the future, then called "Pending timer" by that date.

It seems to work great, workflows suspended as they should, reducing the load on the server so that its waiting for the next thing to do.

However, if the server is restarted and workflows resume later never seems to trigger the "timer on hold". I guess it's because while he has to wait for is in fact in the past.

Anyone know of a way to solve this problem or a better way of suspending the workflow without using System.sleep ()?

OK, so it seems that this is a problem with 5.1.0 build 2725. I don't know how it was fixed, but it works in 5.5.1 build 1617127.

The question is that "Hold timer" does not throw an exception if the date he expects in the past in 5.5.1 it does.

I changed the flow of work to properly handle the case where the vCO server is restarted while the timer standby is suspended.

  • the value of pan and zoom of the time constraints?

PE10 using - I have a photo image that is attached to a total (hold time) that I want, I want add pan and zoom effects to it with back change the span of the image on the timeline. Is there a way to tell the first elements to force the pan aggregtate and unavailability zoom times not to go beyond the original image?

To clarify, I had an image that held for the correct duration, but when I was sleeping w/pan and zoom, I found that I had extended the duration of the image, while it was now about 5 times longer that it should have been, and he threw all my other pictures to the bottom of the timeline. I like to keep the fixed duration without having to pull out my calculator and stopwatch.

    Thank you (just learning this...)

You must watch the landmarks of Pan & Zoom tool in the image and changes with the timeline when working in the tool. As you add / move / delete your frames you will change the elements of duration - the time to hold and the Pan.

In the example below, my time to Pan between part one and part two is sixteen seconds. You can change this by clicking on the time of pan and enter a duration. The other times I've highlighted is is the second a downtime for two framework. Again you can change it by clicking on it. You can also see the time to stand for a framework to the second five point on the timeline itself.

    Hope this helps,

  • A field based on another field of time stamp setting

I have 3 fields in the custom object 1 labeled (a list of choices) status of the Transaction, on Hold time and off hold time. The drop-down list contains the value "pending." When this value is selected, I can successfully timestamp field on time to keep using a workflow rule (PRE ("< plTransaction_Status_ITAG > '") <>[< plTransaction_Status_ITAG >]) AND [< plTransaction_Status_ITAG >] = ValRech ("OCC_CUST_ZOBJ_1_LOV_12", "Pending").

When the Transaction status is changed to something other than 'pending' after having been in this situation, I need to stamp the "Off Hold Date/time field", but only after the "On Hold Date/Time" field contains a value that is earlier than the current date and time. I tried to use a workflow rule, but this doesn't seem to work properly and timestamps each time that the value of 'The Transaction status' is changed.

In my view, a default value in the field ' Hold Off Date/Time ' should work, but have no idea on how to do it.

Can anyone provide any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thank you

  • Satellite L25-S119 - needs work pressure

    Hello

This is a strange appearance, one for you. About 2 weeks back, I noticed that my internal clock has stopped holding time. Initially, it was a minor annoyance, but as it got progressively worse so did everything else on the computer. No videos or music would go without stuttering, programs to always take to load and run, Web pages would take more time to connect, start/stop incredibly long, 6 second ads on Hulu lasted 12 minutes, etc. etc.

Around the reading on the net I found the culprit most likely to be the cmos battery. After replacement not once but twice and see the same thing, I started to look elsewhere for a cause.

It is then that I discovered something odd. If I hold mobile such as my left hand puts pressure on the underside of the laptop between pc card and the fan, the computer returns to normal operation. The clock ticks away as it has been manufactured in Switzerland and everything works great.

Remove this pressure and the seconds ticking grind to stop and I'm back in hell. I looked at the motherboard (I'm skilled enough to tear this sucker at this point) but nothing seems loose or hanging, no component dislodged or move when I push on them. There is no cracks on the Board, and nothing grows really down when I push on this issue (with the exception of this plastic thingy around the modem card).

I tried wedging of the strips of cardboard in there and put together, but unfortunately only this pressure with my fingers under the round is played. Since I can't keep it all the time and started to hurt as it's my wrist, does anyone have an idea what the hell is going on and what I can do about it (in addition to getting a new laptop as support # 800 suggested).

    Thank you

    Dan

Well buddy L25 is a former who knows what could be wrong with the motherboard

  • Pavilion x 360-13-a110dx: HP technical support will not fix a broken warranty screen

    Computer tech support rant:

So I treat my electronics with care. For some strange reason, recently developed a crack on the touch screen of my combo of tablet or a laptop HP Pavilion 360. The thing is usable, and the slot is under the top layer there so no finger injury if I touch the screen. But he fixed it needs, so I filled in the online form to explain my problem to a solution of warranty. I was then told I can call to track and match an option repair or by e-mail. Very well, very well. No problem. I'll call. I can do things with the phone on speaker.

An hour and 20 minutes later and three of call center foreign representatives who were not clear of the USA (meets one, one was a tech rep, and then he couldn't do the actual sending in and fix the situation so I went to a representative cost and repair to figure out how to fix it), and I'm mad on fire. First of all, all three repeat what I wrote and asked questions as if I'm lying to them, or did not know what I did wrong. We had the audacity to ask how do I close my laptop. Yes Ma'am, I slam it down as hard as I can and throw it against the wall to see what happens and make sure that it shuts down for the night. (I did say that, but may as well have.) I'm on my products.

She said that it would cost $270 to fix. Wait, $270? She said because it was a screen problem, it costs money. I said that it is under warranty. Equipment is under warranty, no software apparently. But this isn't the software, it's a HARD to the device component. I can't just install and uninstall a touchscreen. I'm paying $270 plus delivery charges when I bought in May last for $350. If I pay that much for setting a screen, I may as well buy a new unit that is faster and more up-to-date.

She said that it would increase it to a supervisor. They were not available after 18 pm, et. I said I work next week, leaving the House at 6:30 et and will not be home until after 18 pm, et. I said that I should call after 6 p.m., HE. I can't take the time during the day to discuss my PC because if this call took 1h20m, I don't have this time to a new job.

Then, suddenly, they can call me after 18 pm, et. When they do it on Monday, if he is a foreigner, I'll ask an English person precise and clear language. I'm not trying to be racist, then falsely accuse me if you want, but when it comes to communication, and there is a problematic thick accent because English is not their native language in India or wherever they are, this is a serious matter. If I do not understand the words coming out of their mouth without having to constantly ask for something repeatedly or super attentive because if I'm not I can miss a word that misinterprets the whole sentence, which is good enough for me. I've been at both ends of the customer service, so talk to someone English * IS * critical, especially when the situation is bad. I want an American on this one.

Either they fix it for free AND fix it on a quick as soon as POSSIBLE process (because frankly, I was insulted with how they treated me and the hold time every time to ask the same questions and made to be a perpetrator of my machine), or I am done with HP/Compaq products after 15 years of loyalty to them. Really, I don't expect even a call Monday from HP. I doubt that someone calls me.

And for what it's worth, what computer HP from my ex-wife was a breach of the hinge, which was material. I might took pliers and broke on purpose. But they don't set any question. But a screen which has not been clearly cracked by me (trust me, I could take a hammer to it and make a spider web crack) are not treated and is not material? What is it? TouchWare a new term? If it is not material, I want to know what it is. And I don't like what the said guarantee, if you send a defective product that lasts not even eight months (if), you need to fix. I did take a hammer to my screen, I do not slam my PC or throw it against something, and it's in a protective case when I travel, and it is placed in a safe place when not in use. In fact, I barely use the touchscreen. But still I'm done feeling it is my fault and I have to pay $270?

I would like to fix it myself with pieces on Amazon, but must completely disassemble the screen of the keyboard part part and it's a mess and not worth. I'm going to buy a new something and be done with it. But for a crack I did not cause - and if they were seen, they would know because the crack is below and not something that I can do on top - and say $270? Kiss my rear. Repair at our expense, or lose my business. And I shall not distribute for free, but when I'm insulted, and when I type my problem and give me the Spanish Inquisition, whenever I talk to someone, as if what I typed was a generic fraud, I'm deeply offended. I have another thing to do with 1h20m of my time on a Saturday than waste it with HP trying to solve their problem of product.

Fifteen years of my first Compaq Presario several models of HP Pavilion of desktop computers and laptops. Six in total, I bought Windows me to XP to Vista to Windows 8 (and the free update 10).  Guess that's done now because HP has dropped the ball, unless they are equipped through a miracle.

Well, long story short, the PC was fixed under warranty with a new screen and he was only gone for a week or two. Looks like new. They documented my case several times that fall overseas really left call center the ball bad. They did NOT follow the Protocol. Even if the American side did not guarantee that he would be a guarantee, they handled so much better than what it was initially.

Basically, if you don't like the answer, and you know what people overseas, manipulation, find a way to talk to an American. They're going to get this done, and if the answer is not a good one, well, you know that it is legitimate at least since he saw rather than phone diagnosed.

  • NEVER BUY ANY HP PRODUCTS AS THE COMPANY HAS NO INTEGRITY

I have notebook G42 I bought are 3 months of HP direct, there is. The first month went great, then came the fritz that the computer would be completely white. Yesterday I was finishing my college paper and hard drive suddenly crashed, and that was the last point. I called HP support in India, and they said it might be my hard drive or the motherboard. But we cannot verify the motherboard without the hard drive. So... I thought to send me a new laptop so its been 3 months and half of the computer is defective. They said that I had to talk to a case manager, since we can only replace the laptop within 21 days after purchase. What do you mean by the warranty of defect then? / Piece of shit I think... My number is 7502099366 and I talked to 4 different case managers, saying that they need to talk with their manager to decide the outcome. Also, I spoke with a guy name eric, who adopts a unprofessional behaviour by lying to me, and then claiming that I never heard ALL of his answer. Well hell I'm not a mind reader, so, how do I know you give me false information. He was rude and kept giving me 20 mibutes of hold time. Again, I write an article in my local newspaper and college on this horrible experience and this company and will be pre-cauting my peers and friends not to buy hp products more.

They used to have, but in recent years, they have taken the path of Dell and focused more on quantity than quality.  I have a neighbor who has two mothers fried because they had the nVidia chipset and we have one as well.  I won't recommend HP computers laptop clients until HP begins to take responsibility for their products again.  Toshiba seems to have the highest mark of longevity.

  • E/s FPGA pin delay

I have a question about a FPGA project I'm developing.
I use a digital RIO NI PCI-7813R, objective and Module FPGA 8.6.1
I implement a SPI bus, master.
I use a state machine in a single loop of Timed Cycle. (about model on one of your examples IP)
I'm running the loop at 20 MHz, which produced a clock of 10 MHz SPI bus data.
I send you the data in 8-bit bytes delivered by a FIFO of the host.
Similarly, I return data bytes of 8 bits of the host by using a different FIFO.
I have no problem sending data, generate all the select chip and data impulses on my desired clock edges.
It's manual clean and perfect as seen on a scope / Logic Analyzer.

When I read data from i/o pin however I have found unexplained behavior.
It is this: the data seem to be trolling by two read operations.
When I read the axis of I/O data to the specified limit of the clock that I generate.
I found that the data were two bits shifted to the right, i.e., deferred, one on the scope / Logic Analyzer.
I did a work around by two pins I/O multiple read operations in time of the gap between the data bytes.
There are no generated clock signal and no data valid on the I/O pin at the time of these two read operations as testified to by the scope.
And now the data received matches perfectly to the one sent.
I can only assume that there is some kind of pipeline or delay inherent in the IO read operations. (at higher clock rates)

I suspect that there may be something in the optimization performed in the compilation of the structure of the SCTL the cause.
I had found it, sometime before in my development, that data has been little offset from 1 only one position.
I think it was at a slower pace of global clock.

I also ran the same state machine in a classic logic expect everything in a loop with an FPGA, to produce a much slower system
and I found that there is no delay at all.

I don't see anything in the configuration i/o pins that can affect this. (I turned off arbitration)
Similarly, I don't see anything in the documentation that could refer to this behavior.
8.6.1 of LabVIEW FPGA Module Known Issues (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/F6B5DAFBC1A8A22D8625752F00611AFF)

I'm about to use and deploy the code with the solution because it seems to be reliable.
But I am at a loss to explain (in my documentation of the code) why it is necessary
or how to solve this problem if the compiler changes.
    Do you have any suggestions?

I think that what you run is that the number of sync records used with the digital I/o.  If you right-click on the I/O item in the project and select the property page, you should see an option for number of registers for output and output enable synchronization.  These settings are global settings for this I/O item that will be the effect on all nodes of the I/O writes to this point of I/O.  Similarly, if you right click on the e/s on the schema node and select Properties, you should see a setting for number of registers of synchronization for playback.  This setting is specific to this instance of the node for this element of I/O and can be configured differently for each node in the diagram.  The effect is that each sychnronization registry will delay this beating of a clock signal.  These records are inserted to prevent the problems of metastability and ensure that you always have signal levels valid when the IO is sampled on the edge of the clock.  There is a problem whenever the producer and the consumer of the signal are market off different clocks, or at different clock rates.  If the external device drive your digital inputs work synchronous clock you are producing, you can eliminate the registers of the synchronization.  However, you must perform an analysis of delays in propagation of the signal between the two devices and make sure that all the settings and hold times are always met before.  In the end, I think that the easiest and most robust solution will be to compensate for delays in sync in your code as you do already.  I hope this helps clarify things.

  • EqualLogic ps6100

    Dear all,

I face an error on storage box.

Critical hardware component failure, as shown below. C2F power module has insufficient hold time.

any advice necessary to solve the problem of the said.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Jafar

Flash module cache done power reference to battery which failure, will fuel your controller long enough for him to write the contents of its memory cache to a device in the controller. This way once you retrieve your failure, you will have not lost all data in memory and had not yet been written.  On the PS6100 this 'battery' is a capacitor on the controller board so you'll need potentially a new module controller so this is bad. Old firmware can cause this message too so pull diagnosis and check with a tech support to confirm.
