Home ISP network

How can I find my name of Internet service provider and the user of the network home. I want to set up my home network on my blue ray dvd

Hello

Would be nice if you could provide more details on that.

1. what version of Windows is installed on the computer?

2. How are you connected to the Internet? It uses the wired connection or a wireless connection?

3 do you want to create a new wireless network or if you want to join any network that is in range of the computer?

Since you use the Internet on your computer, you need to know the ISP very well. An Internet service provider (also known as an ISP, or even as an IAP, ISP) is a company that offers subscribers access to the internet. This internet service provider maintains large of wiring and maintains network services to transfer and disseminate web content for those who pay subscription fees.

Please provide a brief description as to what you're doing, how you try to do it with the network/Internet.

  • Home wireless network connections cut - a router issue?

    I have 2 PC:

    1 desktop running XP (SP3) on a H61DE/S3 Asrock mobo and Intel G620 2.6ghz CPU. RAM = 2 x 2 GB.
    2. laptop running Windows 7 + Intel i3 CPU
    3 wireless router D-Link DSL-2680 =
The office is directly connected to the router via an ethernet cable wireless.
I created a wireless network which consists of my office and cell phones with the help of a USB and the XP Wizard on my desk. I then clicked on "Network Setup Wizard" in the Control Panel on my desktop (XP) and created the network connections.
When I boot-up the two machines, I can see and access the connections network of desktop and laptop.
HOWEVER, if I let the machines for a while and then come back, although I can see the icon for "DESKTOP" in my network places on my laptop, when I click the icon, the cursor looks like this market, but then an error window appears stating that it cannot find the device and I want to diagnose the connection. When I click YES, sometimes, it detects the OFFICE and sometimes it doesn't.
The same thing happens on the desktop when I click on the "PORTABLE computer" icon in "My Network places".
The strange thing is, when I try to connect via Start Menu / run / \\'IP address on the laptop or desktop, I can connect usually either to the PC.
    The questions are
1 can you explain why I should b affected by these connection question - is this a problem of compatibility between window7 and XP?
    2. what type of home network, maintained by the router or directly between the laptop and desktop computer without involving the router?
    Thank you
I assume that the HOMEDESKTOP, in this case, XP is the master browser because it is physically connected to the router and it is this machine that I created the wireless network and local.

N ° master of domain is chosen in an election.  All devices have an equal chance of being elected little matter how they are connected. (A domain controller can always win, but that's neither here nor there).  The problem here is that the Win 7 machine doesn't listen to the broadcasts and therefore think that it is the only device on the network and therefore chooses himself as master of go.  The XP machine is involved in a normal election except that the Win 7 machine does not participate because he is not listening.  They both choose and for a while, you have two masters to browse.  The only listening to computer (XP) finally gets tired of hearing machine Win7 and abandoned as a master browser.  Win 7 becomes the only browser then, but it does not work because he doesn't listen to any computer on the network.  You can check this by bringing a window prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd") and enter the command:
    nbtstat - a HOMEDESKTOP
    or
    nbtstat - a ROMANLAP1-PC
If the targen computer thinks that he is a master of travel, you will see a line "__MSBROWSE__".

For some reason, keeping the folders "My Documents" opened on both machines maintained the connection for 15 hours that day.

Anyway that you can keep the active connection, the machines will partner with the other.  Once a connection is idling, then it must re-establish contact and is when the master browser or a response of diffusion is necessary and the Win 7 machine is unresponsive.

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted

Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

    Hello

Check the firewall it is maybe it has been reset.

    In general.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

I really checked and configured every thing and it doesn't work.

Software firewall application that is not configured to allow local traffic (between the computer and the router is also a possible problem.

    Setting up a shared printer

"The most common way to make a printer available to a home network is traditionally to connect to one of the computers and then tell Windows to share it. This is called a shared printer.

The advantage of sharing a printer is that it works with any USB printer. Side tilted? The host computer must always be fed up, otherwise the rest of the network will not be able to access the shared printer. »

  • Windows 8 will not list my home wifi network

Just installed Windows 8 on my laptop HP Pavilion dv7 that was under Windows 7. Now, he does not list my home wifi network, and if I try to manually enter it says it's already there. How to recognize my network?

Vinod, I tried all of your advice without success and finally finished by calling the technical support of Microsoft Chat. A very competent technician, Urso U., quickly found the problem. Given that Windows 8 has been to see all my neighbors WiFi networks, he immediately handed to zero on my router settings. Well, it seems Windows 8 dislikes the "extended" mode 802.11 g who was broadcasting my Motorola WiFi Modem cable. By changing this one just setting and uninstalling and reinstalling the WiFi RealTek card in Device Manager (to restore its settings), my laptop now happily running on my home network. Thank you all!

  • On my home ISP, icloud pictures don't download or download.

On most internet-connected wifi networks (work and with friends) pictures new download to iCloud all my devices (Macbook, iphone 6, iPad 2) without problem. However, I have internet installed in a new House and something prevents pictures by download. On all devices, it just says: "send the 7 Items" without a time indicator and show how much MB transferred. I tried a new Zyxl (from the ISP) router and an older D-link router. My conclusion is that something on the ISP blocking / prevents it. I think that icloud backup (iphone) might also have a problem - it seems stuck on the beginning and estimate the remaining time saying. He said: he has not completed a backup since the day wherever we moved here. I can't find another thing that does not work; Viber is fine, dropbox is great, google reader is fine, find my iphone is fine. When I ask the ISP, they say that they do not prevent anything. But maybe if I know what to ask more specifically so I can work on if it is the problem or not. No one knows what to look for? It's one thing to firewall on the network of the ISP? Or a specific port? Or a protocol? Is there another application, problem I can check who uses similar methods to iCloud photos which may not work to help others identify the problem?

Contact your ISP and ask them to correct the problem.

    Can someone help me please?

    Hello

I think that you must make sure that you ve enabled the + network discovery + on all computers.

Network discovery is a network setting that determines if your computer can find other computers and devices on the network and whether other computers on the network can see your computer.
By default, Windows Firewall blocks network discovery, but you can activate it.

Here's how a nice HowTo from Microsoft to the + enable or disable network discovery.

  • home user network lead to damaged keychain - still no solution since Mavericks

    Hello!

This discussion is a very frustrating bug - who lives in OS X since Mavericks and is still not fixed in El Capitan 10.11.3 even if a lot of bug reports were filed, but Apple does not recognize.

The bug in brief: If you try to use the home network at an unpredictable time user in time this user can access its own keychain items. The console fills up with messages on accountsd cannot access a file and then waiting for mail, calendar or any other program that wants to connect to the key string cannot access passwords. In this case that there is no work around another that create the user from scratch. (Until this bug occurs after a few hours or days)

What the community discovered so far is that:

-If you restart the client computer after each disconnect a network user this will prevent the bug

-OSX leaves some a user process thought same running that the user is disconnected!

-If you kill DCs and secinitd after a disconnected network user this bug is prevented

-There is a script as a work-around that kills all processes of a disconnected user - (but OS X starts some new process - very strange)

-the bug lies in OS X (client) and increase its ugly head only when the specific network is used

Here is the link to the original discussion

Server Keyring Mavericks store incorrectly users of the information network.

Here is the link to the script as bypass

First, back up all critical data.

What you are describing usually boils down to an intermittent problem (mechanical) road.

With a disk drive, the drive is not replaceable by the end user.
