  You can try to switch between GPU and CPU by pressing Ctrl / Cmd + E, or you try disabling GPU performance by clicking on the icon of the rocket in the bar of the App, or on the top of the menu bar, deselect the box Performance GPU. You may also uncheck performance GPU in your preferences.

  There is no graphics removable/replaceable/extendable 'cards' in your notebook.

  The GPU chips are soldered and integrated on the motherboard.

  Since your model already has the best graphics offered in this series of model, there are no options at your disposal (for example, replace the motherboard with one that has better graphics).

  Replacing the motherboard would cost almost as much as buying a new laptop PC with better graphics.

  Hello.. I just recd a HP G62 - 253TU Notebook PC as a gift from a friend. Although I like most of the technical specifications, but when I tried to play PC games on this subject, I have recd errors saying that the graphics card of the laptop is good enough to handle the graphics.

  I am running Windows 7 on my laptop and I checked the performance Information using System properties in MY computer. I check the side of my system and found that although the under-score for the processor, the memory is 6.2, but for the graphics and design of games is simple 1.0. I guess that means that this laptop model has very basic level graphics card suitable for the treatment of basic VGA only.

  Please let know us if there is a way to improve performance.  I am also considering upgrading the graphics card but I don't know if it's possible.

  I suggest you reinstall this driver the partition you notice the graphics performance is well below what it should be for the adapter, you have - the driver may not be installed correctly.  Download the file that I gave in my previous post and save it to your desktop.  Once the download is complete, right-click on the Setup program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When you are done, reboot the laptop and access the tools and information on the performance and re-run the assessment.

I have finally fixed them and instead to run Minecraft on 22 FPS, I was there at more than 60 FPS.

  Now, this graphics card is good and all, but there are not adapted to the new games (and I've had this laptop 1 year). What don't get me, is why HP installs some old graphics chips in a new laptop. in any case, I want to see what I can put in the new card. I really want to install and Nvidia 650 m, but I don't know because I don't have any information on my motherboard and it is manufactured by HP. Why I want to improve it is because that 1.) This chip sucks and can't play the games of 2005 and more than 2). He cannot run newer games like I'm a player PC of BF3. I get a strong brand of 28 FPS on BF3-ultimate low quality on this game, he reached sometimes 30 but not much. I want this thing to run as good as my game desktop computer that is custom built, so I really want to know what works with this laptop.

  Please help me to know what works so I'll be better satisfied with HP products.

  Read this document. This has been implemented by one of the community experts (erico).

  The answer is usually going to be no upgrade that has been done on the graphics card as this is usually soldered to the motherboard and designed to work with specific chipsets. The fact that this example uses the switchable graphics actually still less likely. I'm sorry.

  PC hardware is changing at a rapid pace, so you get a day probably will be obsolete in a few months if not sooner. I personally ordered a laptop and there was already a new model of the series which has a better processor and graphics card to this topic. Alas, I was outside the return period and could not take advantage of the new model.

  This largely depends on the software used, but cell phones are not usually able to achieve the same performance as a desktop game PC. My laptop performs as well as my office during playback of half-life 2, but there is a big difference when I play Crysis. The experience will depend on how the program is written and how the game engine is optimized. It varies from game to game.

  I like to play world of Warcraft on my DV7 portable entertainment and they just made an update of last week.  Now they tell me that my graphics card is outdated.  I went on the Intel site and there has been some updates since the last time that my graphics card has been updated in 2011.

  I read that you can do an update from the Intel site since HP customizes all their ups drivers and I don't understand why HP did not actually updates the graphics card so long when they prefetch wow on their laptops.    The game world is constantly evolving and needs these updates to continue to play without any problems.

  Does anyone have a solution to my problem or suggestions?

  First do me a favor and just to be sure, look in under Graphics Device Manager and tell me what you see. If it is switchable, you will have two devices it. You must also have a nVidia or AMD Catalyst Control Center in the programs list. If you have any of these, then you have no switchable graphics and we can proceed to install the latest drivers from Intel.

  As stated in the pick instructions the pilots .zip version. They were dated August 2013 and later for the HD 3000. I have looked at some sites WOW talk about new updates and you don't be surprised if the update of the pilots is not all you need. There is an exchange of views that the game may have gotten too demanding for integrated video chips and your Intel HD 3000 can be up to manipulate the game more playable resolutions and with decent video features. But before we go there we will try update the driver. Don't forget that you understand before you pull the trigger on this. Post back if you need help most.

  When I update the Radeon from Device Manager, it is updated to version 8.933.3.4000 and it is not detected by any that game so that never, only the graphics card intel works.

  Because it is a custom for switchable graphics driver, you can never updated unless HP has published an update on the page of the driver and support for your laptop.

  Unfortunately, this is the only driver that you can use the current date.

For laptops equipped with switchable graphics modes, this package contains the drivers for the two graphics (GPU). Switchable graphics allow users to switch between a graphical power mode (normally used under the power of the battery) and a mode of graphics performance.   There is no graphics card AMD switchable for my model, even with a BIOS update.  That is right.

  Or is it still be grayed out as in the current state.  That is right. An update of the BIOS will do nothing to allow you to change the graphic memory settings.  Everything will be grayed out as before.

  So if I overload a game settings, from the middle to the extreme, this means that most of the 3 GB memory graphics will be allocated to catch the game? Or even will not use the 737 MB dedicated?   The laptop will initially use all the dedicated memory.  If that wasn't enough, he will then consume the maximum (2.4 GB) memory system available and put it to the chart.

  I've never seen no reports of video cards does not work in one Council of HP's other than space.  A BIOS update is good, however.  Just be extremely careful during the process.  A failed BIOS flash makes a very expensive door stop or boat anchor.  It cannot be reversed.

  I AM RUNNING WINDOWS VISTA WITH UPDATES AND VIRUS PROTECTION. QUITE FREQUENTLY MY MONITOR SHUTS DOWN RESULTING IN LOSS OF VIDEO so THAT YOU CAN ALWAYS listen TO (even when simply surf the web). THIS REQUIRES A REBOOT OF THE SYSTEM TO RESTORE THE VIDEO. UPDATE DRIVER, UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED THE DRIVERS FOR THE GRAPHICS. I TRY DLL BACK ROLLING WHICH TRANSLATES THE GRAPHICS IS NOT RECOGNIZED. SEARCHED MICROSOFT SOLUTIONS TO WHAT BRINGS ME TO THIS FORUM. Help, please
