HP 251z desktop PC: Bluetooth

How do I find Bluetooth in my computer (HP 251z desktop computer) I went to the settings and see that "connect" not "bluetooth."

If bluetooth isn't here (which seems odd to me in a brand new 2015 computer) how can I add?

Thank you!!

@Meenie50

Thanks for the update, I'm glad it helped. As Bluetooth adapters, USB type, I've been suggested that you should be pretty standard in terms of compatibility. Make sure just that when you look at them that they are compatible with Windows 10, in order to avoid this kind of driver issue.   In some cases, the device will have its drivers on the device itself.

The other thing to know is what you look at. If you only need Bluetooth, then it will be probably cheaper that to get a dual band wireless adapter, which also includes Bluetooth.

I hope this helps.

I've always been able to sync my Bold 9900 using the desktop via a Bluetooth connection software.

Yesterday I updated to 7.1 Bundle 1646 and Desktop software is no longer recognizes the Bluetooth connection

My "BOLD" can still associate it with my computer (i.e... I can play my music from my Bold 9900 via my computer) and my computer and the Bold 9900 have indicated that they are paired/connected.  However, the desktop software does not have a Bluetooth with my Bold 9900.

I tried to manually add the device to the desktop through 'tools' software > 'Add Bluetooth device' but my Bold 9900 is not displayed even by selecting 'Add '.

  • Smartphones blackBerry with BB Desktop Manager Bluetooth connection

My 8830 was not able to sync with my office work or my laptop [Fujitsu T4220, under Win XP SP3].  I tried to connect to the laptop via Bluetooth (which I paired with my 8830) using 'Connections' on the BB Desktop Manager most recently updated.  Bluetooth will not mention.  I called Verizon (my cell phone carrier).  Three hours later, the support person 'tech', I said, was the BlackBerry expert, actually knew little of things and managed to remove BLuetooth driver for my lap top all together, saying the Fujitsu Bluetooth driver is bad, and now I have no connection with Desktop Manager and no. available Bluetooth on my laptop.  His last attempt was to call technical support of Fujitsu, while I stayed on the phone, as soon as the person of Fujitsu tech, said Bluetooth driver should not have been removed, my phone has been cut; a minute later, I got the message from local telephone service that my line was awarded.  Help, please.  (1) how can I reinstall the Bluetooth on my laptop?  (2) how Desktop Manager to 'see' my BB 8830?

  • ThinkStation vs ThinkCentre

I removed my reliable 9-year-old T5400 Dell Precision Workstation. As for me, I'm a semi-retired translator, and I like my computers. Can someone help me decide between ThinkCentre and Lenovo ThinkStation. I need optical drive, dedicated video card and SSD drive would be nice. I'm not working as much as I used to, speed and the size of the disk are not important. What is important, is the reliability, the value of money, WiFi, Bluetooth, Windows 7 Pro or 10 (64-bit) and compatibility with my 24 "Samsung PC monitor excellent.

Comments and advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Maria

    Welcome to the forum

The biggest differences between the two lines, is that systems of ThinkStation are certified ISV and extensively tested for compatibility and reliability in environments of DCC (digital content creation) and CAD (computer aided design). But they can certainly be used for typical use of office as well.

If you are looking for a small system, you can consider a ThinkStation P310 SFF (Compact). Otherwise, a P310 Tower should also meet your needs.

We don't have a desktop with Bluetooth not short goes to a P-series laptop. You can install a Bluetooth adapter in a workstation, however, to meet this requirement.

If all goes well, that gets you going in a direction. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. None of us here are on sale, but we can try to direct you to the right solution from the material point of view.

  • How to two-way radios with Wireless Comfort Keyboard 5000 or Wireless mouse 5000

I have two transceivers, working with the keyboard and the other with the mouse (I've trashed, in each case, one of the pair).  I want to pair the 5000 Microsoft keyboard and mouse to perform a transceiver.

    Hello, Marshall,

    Connecting a Microsoft's Bluetooth device

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/help/support/how-to/mouse/Bluetooth

Connect a keyboard using a transmitter/receiver Microsoft Bluetooth with First Connect

Some models of Bluetooth keyboards include transceivers with buttons on them to make it easier to pair the device to the computer.

    1. Connect the Microsoft Bluetooth transmitter into a USB port.
    2. Press and hold the Connect button on the USB transceiver for five seconds. The Microsoft Connection Wizard appears.
    3. Follow the instructions in the wizard to connect to your device.

    -or-

    1. Start IntelliType Pro.
    2. Make sure you have selected the Bluetooth keyboard that uses your First Connect transceiver.
    3. Click the Wireless tab, and then click connect .
    4. Follow the instructions in the wizard to connect to your device.

Connect a Bluetooth without First Connect keyboard

The Wireless Optical Desktop for Bluetooth and the Bluetooth keyboard elite have no First Connect buttons on their radios. For more information on pairing of these keyboards for your computer, see the Bluetooth connection Guide or the documentation that came with your Bluetooth program.

Connect a keyboard without a Microsoft Bluetooth transceiver

If your computer is equipped with a built-in Bluetooth transmitter/receiver, you can use to connect your keyboard without using a Microsoft USB transceiver.

    Important

If you connect with a non Microsoft Bluetooth TRANSCEIVER, some advanced features of the IntelliType Pro software may not work. The IntelliType Pro software is designed to work with the Microsoft Bluetooth software. Toshiba Bluetooth software is known to work in most cases. Other software Bluetooth may work but is not supported.

    1. On your computer, open the Bluetooth program. The Bluetooth program is generally in Control Panel or the Start menu.
    2. Press and hold the button connection on the bottom of the keyboard. If your device is equipped with a battery indicator light, it flashes red/green to indicate that the device is discoverable.
    3. In the program of Bluetooth, use the option to add a new device.
      Note
The exact verbiage may vary slightly between versions and Bluetooth programs.
    4. Follow the instructions. If you are prompted to set up a password, leave the program chooses a password for you.

    Opening the Bluetooth program

There are several versions of Bluetooth programs that help you to connect your device to your wireless Bluetooth transmitter/receiver. See the documentation provided with your computer or contact the computer manufacturer for more information on how to use their program.

    Note

If your computer cannot detect a Bluetooth transceiver, Bluetooth software is not available in the Windows menus.

  • How to transfer pictures from the phone to the computer via a USB cable?

I just bought a Tundra VA76r and universal mini-USB cable at a local store AT & T. I downloaded the "v3.9.0 USB driver for Windows 32-bit" on the Motorola support site, I have Windows XP SP2 on my desktop Dell. The driver is described as follows:

This USB driver is used for connecting your Mobile from Motorola phone to a Windows® computer via a USB cable to charge your phone or to access the data on your phone. This USB driver supports most Motorola OS, Linux OS, Motorola, Motorola iDEN, Motorola Symbian/UIQ, Motorola Windows Mobile® and i-mode of Motorola phones.

I installed the driver and the load function works. My phone USB connection type is MODEM. However, I am not able to "access the data on my phone" as promised in the description of the driver. The phone is not recognized in Windows Explorer. All I want to do is to transfer pictures from the phone to my computer. The price for Motorola Phone Tools ($50) seem expensive for such a simple task. An adapter for my desktop computer bluetooth is also in this price range. The tundra is incompatible with the feature of this driver? I'm doing something wrong with the installation of the phone? Please help me to get the driver to work... Thank you

Best way to do this is to configure your phone USB setting of "memory card".  Go to Menu-settings-connections-settings USB online online online, select the memory card.

Once this is done, connect the phone to the computer, phone will be recognized as a removable disk. Go to my computer.  Under devices you'll see removable drive F or G depending on your drives (can show two if you have a card as well.  Memory card is usually the drive at the top of the page.  The phone memory is lower by car).

Click on the drive (IE. F, mobile - if memory card).  Here you will see audio, music, photo, etc.  Once here, you can get, drag and drop a file on your computer.  Make sure that you create one or more folders for your files on your computer.

The same also applies if the transfer of files from your computer to your phone.

I find that this method is better than to sync the phone.

I hope it will work for you.  Let me know if it doesn't.

  • Wireless with bluetooth Thinkpad T510i onboard Comfort Desktop 5000 link.

    Hi all

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T510i, and that you have purchased a Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000, which comes with keyboard and mouse.

I want to use the bluetooth on-board T510i instead of use the provided Microsoft bluetooth usb dongle.

The built-in bluetooth can not find wireless products. Wireless products have no bluetooth pairing button.

They work with the usb dongle.

How can I make them work with the built-in bluetooth?

    Thank you

No, it's a regular wireless connection (albeit a pretty strong).  Bluetooth is something other eintirely - although it is also "wireless" it uses a completely different technology and a computer compatible bluetooth ONLY connect to a device compatible bluet00th (read the card to say 'adapted to the Bludtooth' in them or it was certainly not included - since it is a device that they would certainly be legal).

    Sorry!

    Good luck!
