HP 2540: HP 2540 wireless

You just bought the HP 2540, downloaded HP eprint app, etc. to use with my ipad. I'm not using / installing the software with the CD rom and do not have a desktop computer. I just want to use the printer with my ipad. The printer works, but I have to sign out of my network wifi (AT & T) and then select the use / wifi the printer to print anything. Is there an easier way to do this? How do I just click on print without having to turn off the wifi network? When the wireless test printed results it says that the HP printer is unable to connect to my wireless router. I don't know how to fix it. Thank you.

Hello

Try this and let me know if that can help you:

  1. Connect to the network printer.
  2. Open Safari and go to http://192.168.223.1/
  3. Open the network tab and look for the wireless configuration wizard.
  4. Follow this screen to connect the printer to your AT & T router.
  5. Once you have finished, reconnet the iPad to your router and check again.

Please let me know if this can work.

I have set up with the hp drivers a deskjet 2540.

I have a home wifi network, and I used the usb cable to configure the printer and connect to the wireless network.

What I noticed, and I want to fix is that the printer generates another wireless with sid 'HP-Print-FE-Deskjet 2540 series.

Because the printer is connected to my wireless with its own sid, and I can get to the interface web or ping, I don't want the printer to generate a point of access by itself.

    How to achieve this?

All you have to do is to turn off wireless directly into the printer. This will stop the SSID printers you're psychic. Now, you connect to your routers SSID with password.

  • 2540: wireless printing: he says that he has but he does not!

We have a new printer 2540 and I was setting for wireless printing. Installed on my Windows 7 laptop, no problem, even with the iPad to my wife. Also Windows 8 computer our daughter portable Compaq. Bloomin ' wonderful... Until we come to a Compaq laptop Windows 8 of my son. I installed the drivers, the same as on other devices.

When I go to print the printer show online, the work is queued to the printer, then shows as deleted from the queue... but never actually, it prints on the printer.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver (download the latest version from the support site) also installed Windows updates and uninstalled / reinstalled again. A lot of power off / power on laptop and printer...

I thought that perhaps there was a communication problem, but discovered that I can scan an image from the control panel and save it on this laptop so there is communication. Don't just print!

Problem solved! Thank you very much!

I tried to delete the printer with the USB unplugged. When I went to add a printer, there is none listed and no place to go. I plugged the USB back in and it read it immediately. However, no still no joy Wireless Setup.

In applications, I was go to the hp and selection of the device Utilities folder. This time instead I selected the hp utility and got another screen. Down under settings of the printer, there was a marked wireless configuration icon. When I chose it, the process is different from the previous, but it worked.

  • HP Deskjet 2540: Wireless printing problems with HP Deskjet 2540

    Hi all

I have a problem with a printer HP Deskjet 2540 - it prints if I connected a USB cable; However, he refuses to print if I try to print wireless.

I had initially solved this problem when I went into system preferences > printers and Scanners and noticed two 2540 Deskjet series icons in a window titled 'Printers '. I ended up removing one of these icons and set it as a default, which temporarily seems to solve my problem. Now, I see two icons back in the "Printers" menu and my printer refuses to print over my wireless connection.

My printer is connected to my internet connection so I don't think there is a problem here - I also recently installed the software for this printer to make sure it wasn't some kind of driver issue; However, it doesn't give me the permanent solution, that I'm looking.

Any advice? My operating system is OS X Version 10.9.5

I have a HP 2540 wireless with a blue light problem flashing. The error message is 'do not accept password' somethhing or similar to that. I restarted the router, printer and pc according to the instructions. I reloaded the latest drivers from the Hp I homepage I pressed the buttons wireless and cancel them for 5 seconds. None of this works. The printer will not connect to my home network or directly to my pc. I have windows 7 pro 32 bit and Att Uverse network using WPA - AES. • Cannot print from Android phone to 2540 Deskjet using Direct wireless

I try to print a document on my Android for my Deskjet 2540 phone using wireless live (so without a router involved).  I downloaded the HP ePrint app for my phone and have pressed the button wireless directly on the printer (the led next to it is on).  I enabled Wi - Fi radio on my phone and have made a link to my printer.

But when I try to print the document (a pdf.doc) I get the following on my phone error message: no internet connection.  Please check your network settings, and then try again.

Can you please help?  Thank you.

    Hi Kyle72,

Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I believe that when your Android mobile device is connected to the direct wireless network of your 2540 Deskjet that you can access the document, and you get a connection error message.

When you are connected to the direct the printer wireless network can not access the internet.  If the document you are trying to print does not live on your mobile device, you must copy the file to your phone to be able to print it.  I have included the link to HP Wireless PrintingCenter - HP wireless Direct.  He has a good summary on HP wireless Direct with instructions on how to connect to it and how to use it.

  • DeskJet 2540: cannot convert mac wireless usb printer

    Hello

I'm having a problem setting my printer all-in-one Deskjet 2540 on my macbook (osx El Capitan). After basic implementation through usb connection, I was able to connect my printer to my router, which makes possible wireless printing. I was then able to print wireless from my phone using remote control all-in-one app.

However, I now want my macbook to establish a wireless connection to the printer instead of the usb connection that is used for configuration. I can't find the option to convert a usb printer to a printer that is connected to the wifi. When disconnecting from usb, laptop computer notes the connection with the printer is lost. To install my printer, I use the HP Utility software, in which I can't find such an option. Also, when passing through Apple-> system-> printers and scanners preferences I can't find an option "convert to wireless. I also read a method via Finder-> applications-> HP and then an icon for installing the software & should be there? In my case, there is only the HP Utility icon which directs me to the same program in which I could not find the option.

What I was looking for, and where can I find it?

Might be a little exaggerated description, but I hope that this makes it extremely clear...
