  can someone explain how I can get the scan fuction to work on my printer?  I tried several times to make sure that all drivers are defined etc...  whenever I try to scan the readings of screen printer (not found computer - make sure that the hp software has been installed on the computer.

  I tried to install the L7590 Windows 8.1 but did not succeed. The printer was working well on Windows Vista, 7 and 8 before. After the initial problems, I deleted all the software with this printer. I did the following after this step:

  -use the original installation CD (boot CD). I received the message that the OS is not supported

  -use the "OJ_AIO_L7X00_Full_Win_WW_140_408.exe" file downloaded from HP support. There is a missing file, but no details of the reports.

  Who can help? My suggestion is that HP should pick this up, probably because it worked fine under previous operating system.

  I have already downloaded this driver before, but it won't install. It unpacks, but then closes without any error message.

  A new HP 8600 all-in-one works well after initial problems, but I want to have a printer of backup available in case the 8600 malfunction.

  I'll still give it a try, but the other help is welcome.

• Photosmart C4280: Photosmart Essential 3.5 will not work after the Win 10 update

  The Photosmart Essential suite, which includes the scanning software will not work after the upgrade to Windows 10.   There is no message error that pop up or are listed in the event log.  Printing continues to function properly.    If the s/w is not compatible with Win 10 there the other scanning software free that I can use?

• HP psc 2510 photosmart driver will not work

  I recently bought a new HP all-in-one, so I gave my old all-in-one for a friend. It's a HP psc 2510 and I'm having a problem installing the printer driver on their PC. Windows XP

  I tried to use the original CD supplied with the printer (version 3.1.1) as well as the version of the entire network and the basic version of the site hp.com (version 4.2.1). In all cases, the results are the same. The program will not work.

  In the case of the downloaded version, I see the files extract to a temporary location until 100% then nothing happens once completed. With the original CD when I run the setup.exe screen flashes and then nothing happens.

  I don't know how to solve this. I wonder if Microsoft changed something during a Windows update that affects this installation?

  -Open Assistant HP printer with an error in Script or in Notepad- One Solution is the manual fix that may work for you.  Two solution is to download the necessary hotfix file for HP printer Assistant works.

  If she does not work for you, I have two more proven methods but please answer my questions if it does not help.  I just want to really see if this hotfix is the key, since I can't reproduce this problem on my own PC.  I really hope that it works. Keep me posted.
