HP 5510 printers

HP 5510 has problems with the print head. Go ahead and google it. Thousands of people have bought this defective product. The print head cannot be resolved. This product must be discarded... HP should have never been allowed to sell!  I'm done with HP forever. I switch to Canon or another company that values the visitors. HP solution was to charge me and upgrade to another model. I'm done with HP forever! I never buy or use another defective product at HP.

HP doesn't care about their customers...

    After scanning, the background of the page came in gray and not in pure white.

    So I was running the printing software HP and doctor Scan. The gray background problem solved but new problem started. After scanning left and upper paper edge is done with a thick black border. This problem wasn't there before execution of the HP Print doctor and South American.

    I would ensure that the printer gets the right amount of power.

    I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
    Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
    This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Make sure that the scan cover is closed so that the light can seep into the analysis.

    Also, please make sure that the "scanning area of any" selected in the settings of scanning, non-personalized.

    If you're still having problems, please post a screenshot of an example of scanning and your scanning settings.

    Confirm that you are able to make a copy without it producing the border.

    Hi, just so I'm clear of I'll try and clarify that I think that is that you are trying to do.

    You have 1 computer and 1 1 printer in the House

    You have 2 computers and 2 2 printer in the House

    You want to be able to print the home computer/printer at home 2-1 and vice versa.

    Can I declare the above?

    If so, there is a way to print on a printer from two places without having to install two printers on both computers. It's the ePrint Service whereby you can print emails and attachments to an ePrint printer by sending your message with attachments to the e-mail address of unique printers.

    Have you enabled Web Services and obtained two unique codes printers (which doubles as their respective addresses with the suffix @hpeprint.com)?

    How can I return my page Wizard HP printer for all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 5510?  I used to have, but now all I get is a page that has only three choices: see what's printing, set the preferences and customize your printer.  I need the Printer Wizard page that has one of the following options: ePrint Setup, customize your printer, see what's printing, maintain your printer, set preferences, scan a Document or picture, manage scan to printer and printer Home Page.  Can you get it someone please let me know how I can return the Printer Wizard page?  Thank you, in advance!

    Hi Connie,

    The simplest solution would be to reinstall the software of full functionality for the printer.

    The last phase of installation should fix your printer wizard.

    General instructions to install the printer software

    • Open downloads & drivers HP
    • Enter your printer model information
    • Select your printer in the list of the 'results '.

    OR

    • Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down
    • Click NEXT and scroll down
    • Find the category driver - software product installation
    • Select the base driver, e-print, or a full features software
    • Save the *.exe installation package (s) on your computer

    The files will probably save in the "folder"downloads. "

    Next:

    • If it is available, you can download print and scan doctor and / or other programs of the category-utilities

    TIP:

    Install the utilities / tools first. bit installation packages are smaller in size

    • If you have control of "Admin", you can highlight the package and "double-click" to install it, otherwise just right-click, select run as administrator and install.

    NOTES:

    ·         On the bottom half of the main Web page for your printer, you can find some helpful videos to help with the installation of the printer software!

    ·         Scroll down the list of videos back until you find the video that best fits your situation.

    • If you use a USB connection: download and install the driver software before connecting a USB cable.
    • Ethernet: If the printer supports Ethernet, you can connect the printer to the network (and assign the printer an IP address for the router, if you wish).  Once the printer is connected to the network, make sure that the printer is turned on, and then install the printer software.

    You have a policy of regional settings on your printers.

    When people move they support need to change these settings for them.

    Your Web site clearly shows that you know that it is a problem that meet your customers.

    Why then your site is not it?

    The link on this forum give first an explanation (showing that you understand what needs to be done), and then it is redirected to a generic call center where people do not know what to do.

    I am sorely disappointed by the unprofessional way, that this situation is dealt with. Train your staff to call center a place where clients get direct access to the info on the right is implemented. You just lost more than an hour of my time, for something that is clearly a request for assistance standard/authentic. You also have convinced me to avoid HP to purchase future headquarters.

    Hello world

    I have never posted on a forum before, but I'm about to have a magma down! I try to print my wedding invitation. they are a custom size of 19.7x13.9 cm., I tried to add the custom paper size by following the instructions on the other posts, but this has not worked. paper/output is missing from the advanced settings.

    help would be greatly appreciated because I alsways bought of HP printers, but if I have to buy a new one for that I won't buy HP I'm worried sick have the same problem.

    I am at my wits end with this and you are my only hope (what Star Wars quote).

    I have a HP Photosmart 5510, I've had around 2011.  I've always used it in the company of my iMac (OS X now on El Capitan). Over the last year or two, there was the strange number to which case when I open the HP utility on my iMac it says it is not able to connect to the printer and I should check that it is switched on (this is before you ask). This question seemed to resolve itself after a short while and there was no problem.

    However, I came to analyze some elements of the other day, and this same old issue again raised his head. I put my paper on the scanner and press the option scan only for the printer to tell me that there is no connected computer. Weird, I thought I had printed only some points the day before. I went to my iMac and open the HP utility to see my former favorite message that the printer was not plugged in blah blah.

    I went on HP website to see if there were new pilots required, which it was not (the last was for OSX Yosemitie!).

    I decided to try and start fees and remove the printer and re - add new. I deleted the printer, downloaded the latest HP deriver (just in case) and that's where everything went wrong.

    Software downloads, all right, it starts going through the installation process, end, then he gets to the selection of the device, issue. It evokes three devices that are my one and only printer (Strange I thought). Two with the "connection type" listed as Hello and the other with the connection type is listed as IP. I tried selecting each of these only for each of them to come back with the following error message:

    "YEAR error occurred while the communications device." Please make sure that the device is ready and try again." Well, if they hear by loan, circuit implementation, its connected to my network then YES ITS BLOODY LOAN! So I get no more on the process by the printer and HP Utility installation is nothing else than a large black plastic paper weight. I tried to reconnect my printer to my network wifi several times and everything is fine, its connected and there is no problems according to the page of "wireless network test results" print.

    What the hell is happening? Any ideas? Please save me before I throw this thing by the highest window that I can find.

    I'm not a computer expert and I'm certainly not a network specialist. All the advice is appreciated greatly and fortunately.

    Thank you for your message. I see that you experience the Mac-to-printer communication problems when you use the HP Photosmart e-All-in-one 5510 printer. All this happens despite your apparent WiFi connection. While it is no doubt frustrating to live when all you want to do is print, there are solutions that you can try and I hope that they will restore the regular feature.

    I recommend you try the following steps:

    (1) we will start over with the installation of your network printer. From the control panel press the wireless icon, and then select "Restore network Defaults."

    2) façade, run the "Wireless Setup Assistant." Reconnect to your home network and then make a note of the IP address.

    3) visit the printer embedded web server (EWS): this is done by entering the IP address of the printer in the address bar of the web browser and navigating to this address. If you have a security alert (as this page is not encrypted), click on to "Go forward anyway." If the page loads correctly, we can be certain that the network connection is real. While you're there, make a note of any error messages or status alerts (if you see it, it's all good) and don't forget to advise me on what you see.

    4) remove the printer from your Mac. If you are not sure how, refer to the

    guide for advice.

    Printers inkjet printers of page size, their memory should never be a problem.  The computer makes the print job and sends it, basically broke by broke, down to the printer for direct printing.  There is a bit of a buffer in the printer, but when it fills up, the computer keeps just the info print, so that frees it from the buffer.

  • MacBook Pro 13 inch: Mac Pro does not connect to 5510 e printer

    I have problems connecting with one of my printers.

    My iMac will connect with my printer (an HP Photosmart 5510e and Photosmart 7280) wireless without any problem.  My 13 inch (2009) MacBook Pro connects to the 7280 wireless but does not connect to the HP Photosmart 5510e device.

    I recently had to restart my MacBook and reconnected it to a printer without any problems.  I can't find the driver for a printer so I don't know if the 5510's could not reload when I did the reboot.

    Any suggestions as to what I should have fact/do to recover from the situation?

    Hi there, I am trying to print from a Mac again photosmart 5510, wireless is connected, tested printing via an ipad - runs like a dream.  Unable to print message error "printer is off-line" laptop (Mac 10.7.2), the printer is not connected.  Printed with a cable but I can't via wifi. Have checked all troubleshooting tips, no luck.  advice is appreciated

    -Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
    -Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
    WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
    -Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

    No, you cannot connect to this printer (or the most current HP printers) directly on an iPad without a wireless router.

    If the router is n it is backwards compatible to g.  If it is g, well, then this is g.

  • RunDLL error 5510 series after uninstall

    After an unsuccessful attempt of my parents to install a photosmart printer 5510 on their acer aspire 7741-6426 laptop with Windows 7 OS. I uninstalled both the printer and the software that goes with it by using the uninstall tool, each is came up with, then used the windows installer to remove the update from hp and a help which have been posted in the window file programs and features. after reboot I was greeted with a window "RunDLL" declaring "There was a problem starting C:\Program HP Photosmart HP 5510 series\bin\HPStatusBL.dll" I ran since the removal tool for all in one printers (gr_uninst.exe) 4 times. error continues. Although I intend to reinstall this printer I would like to start with a clean slate.
