HP 6600 - activate Eprint

Try to put in place the new HP Officejet 6600. Everything works fine EXCEPT can't eprint to activate. Printer is connected to the network and I can print from the laptop, iphone, ipad, etc, but when I try to set up eprint it says it cannot reach the network and everything stops dead in the water. I press the Eprint button on the console and select this option to enable web services, but it says no internet. Does not use a proxy server, so I don't think that's it. I know that the network is to reach the internet and printer works on the network, but can't understand it. I'm sure it's something simple, but need help.

Any ideas? What Miss me? Thanks in advance!

Hi gjw246,

I see that you are having problems connecting to ePrint. I would like to try the following steps.

1. open the internet browser type printer IP address.

2 should bring you to the status of the printer page.

3. Select the tab network at the top.

4. left side select IPv4 under wireless.

5. under DNS address Configuration select manual DNS server.

6. for favorite enter 8.8.8.8

7. for alternate enter 8.8.4.4

8. Select apply. You can get a warning saying that this could break the connection which is very good.

9. turn the printer off for about 30 seconds, then try again.

Let me know how it goes.

It then displays a page view:

Worked by calling support. A "partial reset" via the menu 'help' has solved the problem.

If you are experiencing a symptom where the printer stops an address different email every time, the reset partial should solve that.

It seems that your printer can be supported, although I have to admit that I'm not 100% familiar w/LaserJet models. You must confirm that your is part of the printers HP Color LaserJet Pro M1536 series, it seems that it is.

If it is supported, you can follow these steps to activate ePrint in the post below:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/eprint-print-apps-mobile/how-to-remove-amp-re-enable-Web-services-on-LaserJet-printers/TD-p/409291

An update of the firmware may be necessary to add support for printing on LaserJet printers at the moment, before you can activate ePrint.

  • problem with Officejet pro 8600 N911g ePrint

I'm trying to install eprint on my officejet however I have questions. I went into my settings to printers via the IP address and when I click on activate ePrint, it says this:

Unable to connect to the server.

Check the Internet connection and try again. Or contact your system administrator or the person who set up the printer.
If your network requires a proxy server address to connect to the Internet, click Proxy enter or check your browser settings.

As far as I know of I do not use a proxy server address. I have Cox Cable internet and have set the IP to my computer/printer to static. All other work well i.e. wifi printing, iphone/ipad and ext.

    Thank you

    Danny

The steps below a usually resolve the problem you are experiencing:

    1. unplug the power cord at the back of the printer.

    2. unplug the power cord at the back of your router (and the modem, if they are separated from the router).

    3. wait 20 seconds, then plug the router (and the modem, if necessary) in.

    4. wait for 30 seconds, then plug the printer back and power.

    5. press the button on the front of the printer ePrint, and it should try to connect to Web Services again.

These steps usually fix the problem, but if it persists, you can try definition of network information static for the printer (which is sometimes useful to stabilize the ability of the printer to get outside of your network to the internet):

    1. tap the wireless at the top of the screen of the printer and note the IP address.

    2. Enter the IP address in the address bar of a web browser on a computer and press on enter or click the go button browser.

    3. the printer status page must be open. Click network in the upper part.

    4. click on networking on the left.

    5. Select the Proxy settings.
Note: If you are prompted for a redirect, click OK. If you receive a certificate warning, select the option that allows you to continue anyway.
If you receive an internal system error, refresh the page until it loads the proxy settings.

    6. check that all fields are empty. If they are not, make them disappear and make sure that the Proxy Server requires authentication is unchecked and click on apply. You should get a success message.

    7. click on the network address (IP) on the left.
Note: If you only configuring IP address and DNS address with a yellow note Configuration, refresh the page until it loads completely.

    8. leave automatic IP IP address Configuration.

9 change the DNS address to the manual DNS Server Configuration.

    10. enter manual for the manual preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for auxiliary DNS.

    11. click Apply and you should get a success message.

    12. turn off the printer for 30 seconds and then turn it on again to force the new settings take effect.

  • ePrint for K550 and HP c6180

Already posted in the wrong Board (Android tablets)

Why the great Hewlett-Packard company cannot provide never clear complete & correct instructions step by step on how to do things?

I see the Officejet Pro K550 dtn listed as HP ePrint and Android 4.4 Print services support.

    How can I activate ePrint?

When I try to do, she prays for a printer email address.

I know the IP address of the printer, I don't know it's e-mail address.

HP help pages request to press the (nonexistent) web services or search on the built-in browser (also nonexistent) HP Web Services printer page.

When I try to use Android 4.4. My Nexus 5 (actually, now upgraded to Android 5 aka Lollipop), I get the IP address of the printer, he tries to get settings, but failed. Same error in the HP Photosmart c6180 unit.

When I try to use HP connected it asks you a claim code.

How can I get a code of request for one of these printers?

    Hello

First two printers are NOT ePrint as shown on the following (see the first column):

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02814760

You can use HP ePrint app or HP AiO Printer/Remote app to print. My suggestion using HP ePrint app because the other application may ask your printers email addresses and they will not. Very important thing: they MUST BE on the same network. How do you connect them now?

    Kind regards

  • 3056a will not update. Product update. Click on eprint, it tells you to update product.

When I click on the eprint button, he asks me if I want to activate eprint, I say Yes. He tells me to turn on the automatic update, I say Yes. He then told me to update product. I click Yes and nothing happens. He still sys product update. I looked in the help pages and it says click on the eprint button and scroll down to the update, but my printer does not have this option in the menu. As I said, when I click on the eprint button it only told me to update, it is not actually do, or give me a manual update option. Help me please update this thing, so I can start eprinting! Oh and it is connected to my network with the internet, and all my computers will be able to be printed on it.

@spinfar that the issue should be resolved now. I would try the printer off for about 30 seconds and put powered it back up and then try to update printer.

  • C309G support Print Apps and eprint?

    Hi all

I recently bought a HP C309G and I was wondering if this model supports printing and eprint apps?

Good question. We do a lot to activate ePrint across many of our products, but I can't answer your question directly. You can check this site for the latest information on HP ePrint and relevant news: www.hp.com/ePrint - for product information select "web print", then down 'the first x' to see a list of products.

  • Sudden issue with eprint & allowing any application or web services

    Hi all

I have a case with HP and spent 4 + hours on the phone with support eprint people and people of departmental support. Unfortunately, they are now gone for the weekend, and I'm still stuck here with a defective system - and have to leave this weekend on businesses (need a business printer works!)

I hope someone here can help you.
    I have a x576dw MFP

Connected to a Netgear router hardwired

Worked very well with eprint services (set up and printing of daily) for 1 + months

23:00 last night, I sent several jobs to the printer and I noticed today that they were not there. I checked the print server web printers and find that the IP settings had not changed (of course) when he worked the day before. The same IP address, DNS, default etc. same gateway.

I ran through all the scenarios/patches that I could find online, to change to the evolution of tests and test with DHCP, changing to wired & test with static and wireless Wi - Fi but a different outside the range of the DHCP IP address, change the router to which the printer is sitting on (I have 3 routers), change the config to link change the primary DNS and secondary only be both addresses from Google (8.8 and 4.4), etc etc.

ePrint crossed (frustrating) exactly the same steps with me and decided that it was a printer problem. They handed me off the coast for the guys from companies who wanted to do exactly the same steps as for the moment (of course). I did just to get through... (note that I can print correctly on the LAN of all routers), and at the end of technical support told me to try a restore to default settings and start over.

Do you have this (gr) - same error. When I go to the same activate eprint or apps that it says "Web Services could not be activated". I get the same error on the web interface for the printer.

Help! IM at a loss total here and HP wants to blame the eprint team, the eprint team wants to blame business solutiosn HP!

(Other notes... I have checked the firmware, it is updated. I checked also up-to-date web software)

    Frustrated to tired business chick!

Hey, happy that we were able to work.

I will contact you on the subject to find the failed unit on your part. We will send to a R & D facility.

  • ePrint, slip, Error 500

    Printer: LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276n

    Frimware: 20140521

    Router: pfSense, (currently DISABLED UPnP)

First the printer does not allow all eprint/web services.

Had to open XMPP outbound (ports 5222, 5223) AND override DNS configuration given by router (now set manually on the printer to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4).

Then the printer enabled to webservices, but it still refuses to print the worksheet 'information' required to activate eprint, instead, the printer returns an "error 500" on the screen.

    I tried to disable and then enable, web abuse several times. Without success, any fact sheet. I can't find any information describing how the system work on a plan of network, therefore;

    Any suggestions?

    Ok.. made a few email'ing with hp, including the 'the printer experts' support (2nd or 3rd level). Results;

The M276n printer uses these ports.

    UDP: 137, 138, 161, 427, 80, 443, 5222, 5223, 5297 5298, 5353
    TCP: 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9500, 80, 443, 5222, 5223, 5353, 5297, 5298

(these are all the ports, not only those involved in eprint).

What finally solved my problem was a "reset the NVRAM:

Hold your thumb on the lower left corner of the screen of the printer where to put on. After a while the printer is "Permanent storage Init" on the screen, when this happens, remove thumb.

The printer will now clear internal registers (EPROM/FLASH), all the parameters are empty, the default firmware recreated/rewritten data. In the end, the printer performs a restart.

This time, I had no problem configuration. Before the printer do not have pick up DNS for DHCP (had to set manually), but this time he did. ePrint worked as well.

  • Eprint HP5510 put in place the problem

I have an active eprint HP5510 which I use with Windows 7. The printer is showing as connected to my wifi, but I cannot get it to connect to the web and cannot therefore set up eprint. Can someone help please, I tried everything.

    CDP176,

No problem, we have a little more things that we can try!

The next thing I want to do you is set a static IP address and DNS servers for your printer.

Before we begin, we need a network with your current connection settings configuration page. To do this, press the button on the front of your printer wireless and press 'Print Info' or 'print the State. " This example displays on a page of configuration of the network, which provides information on what we have to finish the next few steps.

After that you have, we will need to access the built-in Web server (EWS) printers. You can do this by entering the IP address of printers (from the Network Setup page) browser press and the address bar type.

Once there, press the 'Network' tab at the top of the page. From there, you'll want to click on the button "IPv4", on the f-side of the page. It will be there for wireless and wired, so make sure you click the one for you, but you are connected. If you do not see "IPv4", you should see 'Networking', press and press "Network Address (IP).

Then, you click the small round button next to "Manual"IP address", and then fill in the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway using the information available on the network configuration page.

For the primary or the preferred DNS server, you will want to enter 8.8.8.8.

For secondary school or another DNS server, you will want to write 8.8.4.4.

Click on apply and when the message appears saying that the changes have been applied, press 'OK '.

Press the power button on your printer, wait that it completely power off and press it again to power it on.

After doing this, go ahead and try to activate ePrint again.

If these steps do not work, let me know and I'll see if there's anything else I can do for you.

I am trying to activate (eprint) APPS for my new HP 6600 1. You will need to enter the email address, password, etc. to use applications such as Google Docs., scanning reception, ebox. Everything is all ready to enter on the screen of the printer, but no keyboard appears. The implementation seems complete and correct, and I can immediately print items such as easy forms (HP), but do not need to add email, password, etc. to use.

I use VISTA: IE9 and Firefox (latest issue) are my browsers. Thank you.

PS There is no error message: I can't simply complete the task without a keyboard characgter.

I'm sorry that I understand your question now. In order to get the keyboard for all what you need to bring is your finger in the area to be filled once the slider rises the keyboard should appear automatically.
