    Hello

First of all, to my knowledge the BIOS downgrade is not possible.
Secondly, on the Toshiba page, I found only the latest BIOS (not the older versions).

In addition, on the Toshiba driver page, you will find 3 different models of Satellite A100.
AFAIK the A100-188 is a unit of PSAA9E.
Therefore, it is important that you used good BIOS and that it have updated with the proper procedure.
Bad BIOS and bad upgrade procedure may damage the motherboard or some problems with the functionality of the device.

I guess you used the wrong BIOS. In this case, you will need to contact the ASP from Toshiba for the return of the BIOS.
You might try updating again with the good BIOS.

  • [HP 840 G1: bios]

I was just looking at the HP support center web site check the updates to the BIOS and noticed that for the G1 of 840 HP there is a customer advisory - ' Advisory: computers HP - HP (BCU) BIOS Configuration utility may fail without error; Can create output files empty or truncated. "

The current BIOS on the laptop is 1.20 reverend a. December 15, 2014. The most recent version on the site of HP's 1.31 Rev. March 31, 2015.

The link is for the new software of the BCU and solves the problem mentioned, if you don't know what software BCU is for so I wouldn't worrry thereon, it is just software to manipulate the bios settings then under Windows, which can be dangerous if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or EliteBook have more strict security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

  • Satellite L30-105 (PSL33E) - BIOS downgrade succesfull

    Hi all
first of all sorry for my English.

I am the owner of Toshiba Satellite L30 - 105 (PSL33E) bought in Italy. I wasn't stisfied v3.10 update of the Bios and I searched for the old version of bios, but on the server of European support, all the old bios (-2,6 3.0 etc.) disappeared.

Read this thread http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=120416 I read about using files of bios of US to downgrade the bios as suggested to user Anhchuong.

Many of us was skeptical about using U.S. bios on laptop computer EU.

After a lot of time and knowing US L35 - S2366 (PSL33U) have exactly the same specification of the mine (except mine have 1024 ram instead of 512 b), I decided to use v 3.0 bios version to update my bios. EVERYTHING WORKED!

At the moment, I am writing from my lappy and I can confirm that CPU temp is degrees 6-7 °.

    Hope this helps someone else.

Thanks for your posting. This is a very useful info.

I did an upgrade of BIOS of victory of version 1.6 of 2.10 - at the recommendation of the Toshiba site, for my laptop A300 1N0 - model PSAGUE.

The mouse works, but the touchpad is still dead.
    Any advice?

Try contacting the Toshiba authorized service provider in your country. They have access to the database of Toshiba and the access to the Archives of BIOS.

  • HP8540w Bios downgrade

    Hello

    I have an Elitebook 8540w with an Intel Core i5 - 520 M processor.

It has a nVidia Quadro FX 880 M graphics card.

The machine runs Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit and has 8 GB of RAM.

For several weeks now, I feel the power shut-offs due to overheating.

It's very annoying... and I started (I think) to experience these closures just after I updated the BIOS to F23 (the most recent available for this machine).

So before anything else, I would try to downgrade the BIOS to the previous version I had.

    I read in this thread

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-e-g-Windows-8-and-software/HP-EliteBook-BIOS...

There is a BIOS recovery option (Windows key + key capital B together?).

Would this work on my machine too?

    Thanks for any help!

In fact, if you went from the BIOS then it should be simple it downgrade to original BIOS. Yours is a laptop computer with a BIOS modern substitute called UEFI environment. UEFI pushes a BIOS to another version, simple and safe. Your laptop comes with UEFI installed.

Press the power button and immediately press the ESC key to call the start menu.

In the start menu, choose F2 (Diagnostic System) in Diagnostics menu there is a section for the management of the firmware that will allow you to restore the BIOS to a previous version.

Is it possible to downgrade the (before the upgrade is recorded) BIOS-file BIOS. BAK?
If the answer is "Yes", if you please tell me how to do it.

    Thanx, Carsten

    Hi alter ;)

I read in this forum that it of not possible to downgrade the BIOS.
Only the Toshiba service partner can do. In my opinion, they use special tools for downgrade BIOS.

  • BIOS downgrade for dv2910us

    Hi all

    I recently bought a computer laptop dv2910us.

After a short period of time, I noticed that the built-in hp update software has some updates for me.

Among the recommended updates was a newer Bios version - F.2 b.

After flashing the Bios to the new version, I noticed that the fan behavior has changed in a weird way.

The fan has started a really annoying cooling method, it works at full speed for a second about and then turns off and then on and out again and again, nonstop.

The computer works very well in all aspects but one, but this concern really bothers a daily computer use.

At first, I thought, there was something wrong with my fan, but after searching for a bit I realized I'm not the only one having this problem, and that some other concern that change their version of the Bios.

Meanwhile, I contacted hp support, and the first thing they suggested, is that I flashed my Bios again for the new version - F.2d.

So I did as they said and it did not help.

    So now my question.

Should I try and Flash my Bios to version of factory settings and see if it helps?

Is there a problem with 'downgrading' versions of Bios?

Bios version and - what makes the equipped dv2910us of origin?

    On my computer.

    I use Vista 32 bit SP1

    On board video card

    Intel based PC

    3 GB RAM

Did not all changes to the computer, since I got it, type every day just installed software.

Hope you guys have some advice for me...

    Kind regards

    B. Shai

All your versions of BIOS (5 in total) are here on HP drivers & software downloads page.

The original version of the BIOS for your dv2910us displayed as F.21

Reversing a previous BIOS flash may be your decision, although other users of the forum may have had good experiences which they can comment on.

Security concerns?  If you "downgrade" or "exploded" there where your amateur races less and your computer is faulty does not overheat provable, is your warranty will be cancelled?

I think that many HP computers have a design flaw that exacerbates the problem known, accepted and understood operating temperatures warmer for all brands of laptops; It is a fact related to their size.

Cooling Pad: why not a block of cooling purchase, HP offers one for less than $25.00, that the laptop is on.  This cushion can keep your computer running cool enough so that your fan not as often snaps.  Twenty-five dollars looks like at a cost acceptable to try first as a solution.  I have not bought a cooling block yet, even if I intend to do if it can be inserted in my HP xb3000 expansion base (someone has already tried who?)

I discussed elsewhere on this forum HP about the potential dangers of the BIOS flashes of any kind so keep those in mind before making a decision "downgrade".

Confirm that you are using the page for good software/drivers to re - enter your model number or product number to ensure you get the correct BIOS download.

    Good luck

  • SL400 BIOS Downgrade? Laptop will not disable correctly.

Is it possible to downgrade the BIOS?

Having some problems with the latest 1.24.

Basically the SL400 shut down (shutdown, sleep or Hibernate). It executes a restart instead of a shutdown. Excluded bone (tried with a bootable Acronis Recovery OS install with no update floppy), seeks essentially to hardware or BIOS.

The Readme for the BIOS indicates you can't downgrade.
    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-70040

I was wondering if there is a way to downgrade the BIOS which is the only day I can not cancel, do a clean install. Open a ticket with Technical Support, but they said it was a corrupt registry setting and I have to reboot the installation but that did not work.

    TIA...

I have had no trouble to decommissioning of 1.23 to 1.12 using the ISO bootable.

  • Portege Z930 - BIOS downgrade v2.30 to v2.20

I bought the Z930. Two days ago, I received an alert TEMPRO on an update of the BIOS.
I downloaded the new BIOS zip file and installation.

Then I got a message like this:

    BIOS version: Ver.2.30 current-> update Ver.2.20
THIS Version: Current Ver.1.20-> Ver.1.20 update
    BIOS should be updated.

    Then I cancelled the installation.

Why did I receive an alert on a previous version? To do the update?

My advice is to ignore this update. You have the new piece of hardware so in next days testing the features and I really hope that you will be happy with it. If everything works well, and there is not any serious issue with her don t change anything.

A few months I m thinking to buy too much because I want to have this small portable ultrabook so please be so kind and post short review if you will find time for her.

I read that you think about it.

  • Satellite A500 - BIOS downgrade - HOWTO

I had to get off my Satellite A500 BIOS v1.50 v1.30.
I found no information on how to do it, so I had to research, and eventually I got.
I hope it will be useful to someone...

Steps (* at your own risk *):

    (1) run the update of BIOS Toshiba v1.30.

    (2) when you get the older version error message, do not close the window.

    (3) copy WINPHLASH temporary folder (in my case, + c:\Windows\Temp\WINPHLASH+). Paste it into a different folder.

    (4) WinPhlash close this window.

    (5) open your new + WINPHLASH + folder. Edit + PHLASH. INI file +. Set + Advanced = 1 + and save.

    Race 6) + WinPhlash.exe +.

    (7) click + "Advanced settings" +.

    (8) uncheck + "Flash only if the BIOS version is newer than the system +.

    (9) click on 'OK + ' +.

    (10) click + "Flash BIOS" +.
