HP C4580 wifi set-up

The printer was connected to the same network that the computers were. But the problem is now solved. It has proved to be a problem in the router. The solution was to do a DHCP reservation for the printer on a different IP address then the current and to reset the router. I have no idea what was wrong, but it works fine now.

Thanks for your help,

I'm glad to hear that your all got power problem sorted.

Regarding your print cartridge compatibility problems, this HP Photosmart is regionalized for cartridges. • How do I change the WiFi setting on player DMP100?

    Hello

Because I changed my a Ljnksys WRSV4400 to a WRT610N router, I wanted to change my WHA devices to use the 5 GHz band, as my 2.4 Ghz band is fairly busy and this translates into several problems (network interruptions).

With LELA, no way. She still applies the settings of the 2.4 Ghz band to any device WHA. The Director of the WHA and the WiFi remote, I can change settings directly (manually), and it connects fine to the 5 GHz band. However, how to do this on the player, because there is no user interface to change directly and LELA is notgive me select chanceto, what WiFi settings should be applied to the player?

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hello

You might try to temporarily disable Mode 'network' of adjustment of frequency 2.4 ghz on the WRT610N wireless and try to re-add the DMP100 thru LELA, if all goes well it will only copy the settings 5 GHz only.

    I hope this helps.

  • Somes devices cannot connect to WiFi TimeCapsule more

Hi everyone, I am facing a weird situation.

Current configuration: the home Wifi is provided by a TimeCapsule, which has its firmware updated. A couple of device (10) are regularly connected (printers, iMac, MacBook Air, iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc.). Nothing very complicated.

    The situation:

This morning, I had 2 friends at home with their personal devices (one tablet of Nexus and an iPad 1st generation). I tried to connect to my Wifi and it never worked. On the iPad, the wheel turned in the parameter space WiFi and no internet connection was possible. No Wifi setting has been provided by the TimeCapsule (no IP, etc.). On the tablet of the Nexus, I got more details: he was blocked at the stage of IP address get.

Obviously, my first thought was to restart my TimeCapsule. Unfortunately, nothing has changed: these new devices have been blocked at the same stage and... my daughter iPod also got stuck. Exactly like the iPod from my friend. But has been connecting iPod to my daughter to my wife for the last 3 years!

My friends finally left, so the problem is "over", with the exception of the iPod of my daughter. Until this morning, he was perfectly able to connect as usual, but now no.: the wheel keeps turing in the Wifi configuration. I have obviously reset network settings: nothing has changed.

On the TimeCapsule, I see that the iPod gets an IP address. Also, when I change the name of the iPod in the control area, I can launch a sync to iTunes on the iMac and the iPod name is updated! So, this means that the iPod IS connected via Wifi, but it is not possible to browse the Internet or connect to what. The WiFi icon does not even appear in the top bar.

All other devices (iPad, iMac, etc) works perfectly.

    Any ideas?

    M.

... except for the iPod from my daughter. Until this morning, he was perfectly able to connect as usual, but now no.: the wheel keeps turing in the Wifi configuration. I have obviously reset network settings: nothing has changed.

As you probably already know, reset the network settings deletes saved passwords and network configuration details. It also exports the residual caches and preferences. Most of the time, it should be fixed.

As it didn't, the only other suggestions I could give are:

    • Go to the option "forget network Wi - Fi" in iOS settings and then manually try to join the wireless network yet.
    • If this does not resolve the problem, then possibly one or more of your Wi - Fi connection settings for your wireless network may have to be changed:
      • Make sure that the network name does not include spaces or special characters.
      • Don't 'hide' your Wi - Fi network.
      • Try temporarily disabling Wi - Fi security to see if the iPad will connect now.
  • iPad Pro wifi disconnects often, using ios9.3.1

I just bought this amazing iPad 12.9 ", my home network through TWC, never have problems with the two adolescent, wif, TV with wifi at the same time. Now it's after hours, and my wifi disconnects on a regular basis. Any thought beyond reboot and wifi switching power to re-establish the connection. Y at - it an idle wifi setting that I missed? Thank you

    Hello...

Follow the instructions here > to connect to the Wi-Fi on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

  • Connection WiFi slow and uneven

My current WiFi set up includes an AT@T U-Verse, with disabled WiFi router, which is connected by a cable ethernet to an older Apple Airport Extreme, it seems AC 802.11. Both are located side by side in a Home Office. I also have an Airport Express, located in another room to boost the signal in other parts of my house and to my outdoor patio. This configuration was working fine until recently when the AT & T router has stopped working. He was replaced a new U-Verse router. Now, my signal is weak, slow and uneven in other areas of my house and on my patio. I reset my Apple Airport Extreme and Apple Express and the situation has not improved. I am at a loss to understand why this Setup no longer works. I called AT & T and they found that the Firmware has not been downloaded correctly to the new router, and it was an improvement has been corrected, but not much. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Any time that you change your network hardware, it's always a good idea to perform a complete power recycling of your material.

Check out the following user tip for more details. Please post back your results.

If the performance does not reappear after that, we will have to start all over again with the U-Verse router and add the base stations of the airport in one at a time. It would be useful that you can provide the model number of the U-Verse router and model numbers of each of the base stations you will use in your network configuration.

I can assure you that the wifi driver installation is done properly.

    Thanking you...

    Sylvain

This laptop has a wireless white list that blocks the start if the correct card is not installed. You must purchase a wireless HP part number card.

The laptop is 10 years old. It is the only card in the manual for the United States. Don't know where you are and which may affect the part number you need, but it's the American part:

802.11a/b/g module LJ WLAN for use in the United States and the Canada. 407254 001

    Here it is on eBay:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Broadcom-Mini-PCI-Express-card-BCM94311MCAG-407254-001-/221004274059?hash=item3374e1998b:m:mLUBTJNR7QLs7JVwODHLsiw

He must have the SPS number HP part number. I suspect that your card is bad and others that you tried to buy are incompatible, then you will need to get one like the above, if you are USA or the Canada.

  • How configure I pad to use my printer wifi

Eevery whenever I want to use my WiFi with my I pad mini3 printer I have to go to the Wifi setting on my printer and put in my password and the reset Wi Fi settings on the rise. How can I set up my Wi Fi HP printer to work with my I pad mini 3.

    Thank you

If the printer is active print air you are ready to go

If this is not the case, look in the app store to see if HP has a printing application, you can install

You can also look on the HP website to see their recommendations for wireless printing

If none of these work, look into third party printing applications. I Print N Share, but there are many others still.

  • TC drops with new wifi router

    Hello

I recently changed the wifi set up in my house when I got a new router/modem Comcast wireless.

    my equipment:

-The new series of wireless router/modem Arris TG862G bridged mode

    TC - 4th gen (2 TB) running 7.6.4

The TC is connect to Arris via Ethernet. The TC also has a feature of AT & T MCell and Powerline wired extension that goes to the basement. The TC is on the second floor.

When I put this in place, I renamed my network, comments and TC names digital alpha shorter and passwords changed to the alphanumeric passwords only on the advice of this forum. In addition, the network connects to multiple IOS devices, Windows Mobile, smart TVs, etc., all running newer versions of IOS.

That is the problem.  The new configuration often removes the wifi so that no camera can detect the network. By frequently, I hear once every few hours.  This was solved by rebooting the system.

So far, I tried switching routers so Arris is router and TC is the bridge, but same thing happens.  Curiously, I even reinstalled old no wifi modem to test but still had the same problem. This facility has been very reliable before the new name, but hard to believe that a name change is the cause.

    I welcome suggestions.

Sorry we're a little slow on your problem.

The new configuration often removes the wifi so that no camera can detect the network. By frequently, I hear once every few hours.  This was solved by rebooting the system.

What happens if you simply restart the TC?

So far, I tried switching routers so Arris is router and TC is the bridge, but same thing happens.  Curiously, I even reinstalled old no wifi modem to test but still had the same problem. This facility has been very reliable before the new name, but hard to believe that a name change is the cause.

Name changes will not cause sudden dropouts wireless... It's the change of network and a router that does not get along with the TC. Apple routers can be hard enough.

I would go back to the installation with the Arris as the main router... and TC in bridge.

Once you have this configuration, change the connection of the arris to TB... Ethernet that was in the TC wan port... Move it to LAN port.

We are seeing problems with the side WAN.

Unless it's just age... The change of network may do strange things... and the TC Gen4 has a lack of reliability when it reaches the end of life. A number of them die completely and others have network problems... either the wireless or ethernet side... It can simply wear... (of course it of components such as power supplies and cause capacitors which are at the origin of these issues). Fixing the level of the Board of Directors is a thing of the past... the cost effectiveness of the modern manufacturer has deleted as viable repair. With the exception of a few weird things I can fix it... It is usually not worth.

The summary of what you need a new TC or a new management mode of backups.

Happy to work through the questions...

If the TC wireless is stall... do you mean no signal... or no internet connection...

The next time he falls... from a client on the TC main router ping or ping another client in the terminal and tell me if any of this signal or what is lost.

  • WiFi, signal excellent, no interference but intermittently drops, needs to restart

I have two desktops running on my home wifi system, one is one HP, the other a Dell.

The HP is the closer to the top and has full signal strength bars, the Dell is rained off and half bars. I used the wifi inSSIDer monitoring program to check that I'm using a wifi channel that has all the other competing strong signals on it.  I changed wifi channels anyway to see if the problem changes and it does not work

The problem: from time to time, as often as once a day, the HP will lose wifi. If I wait a very long time (30 minutes or more), it will return itself. I normally reboot to get it back as soon as possible. It always returns with a restart, and once rebooted I'm good to go until the next day.

This loss of wifi only occurs on the HP, Dell has no difficulty on the network even if one gets a much weaker signal. At the same time, the ch has been the only WiFi (until I'm the Dell) and it had this problem all along.

Is there some setting wifi on the HP that could be causing this intermittancy? Is there some wifi setting that could find the signal immediately without having to reboot. Using "solve problems" (right click on the wifi icon) can not find the signal. Happens about once a day (not at a given time of the day) I saw with it, but it's annoying.

    Hello

You can buy a WIFI card for replacement on eBAY for less than $10.  Could you say something, about the performance and reliability of the card.

I suggest get back you to the original HP driver.  If this does not help the problem then replace the WIFI card.

The part number you posted of HP, HP p/n 638403-001, is for the 5390 RT and not a 6390.  You should correct your information to avoid confusion.

  • iP8720 - wired USB and wifi at the same time?

I sought an answer to this but have not found one that I really understand.  An iP87290 can be used as a wired printer and printer wifi simultaneously?

I put up as a USB Wired printer on the office a year ago.  Works very well.  Now my wife wants to know if she can print on it from his laptop.  I have the wifi set up in the House and she often logs from the living room... as I have from my android tablet. What we do when she wants to print something, it is transferred to an SD card, then put the SD card in the office and printing from it.  Aging.  It would be much better if she could just walk into the 'office' and turn the printer on and print directly from his laptop.  I like to keep the printer connected to the desktop also.

    Thank you.

    Hi Muhammed.

You can connect your PIXMA iP8720 to a computer with a USB cable and also use wireless with other computers and devices at the same time.
