  • PRI all-in-one HP Deskjet 2542: not the printer connected to the Modem

My modem (wired LAN) password and the name was changed recently and now my printer (HP Deskjet 2542 all-in-one) does not connect to the modem.  The blue light just continuously flashes.  This is the only change that has been done to my modem and this is the first time I tried to print. It is printed on the front.  I called the cable company and they determined my modem was working fine and has suggested that to change my printer settings.  I grew up the printer instructions on my computer, but could not find something that I could change my settings to match the modem.  I think that's what the cable company told me to do.

My printer is mod. # SNPRB - 1204 - 02.  If you need made more information let me know.  It seems that this should be a quick fix, but I'm not a computer geek.

    Hi @first100years,

I'd love to help you connect your printer to your wireless network. The flashing blue light confirms without a doubt that, for some reason, the printer is is more set up.

I found the following steps in this document: connect the printer after change of your wireless network.

The HP software automatically collects the network settings by temporarily connect a USB cable from the printer to a computer that is connected to the new network. Follow these steps to reconnect the printer to the network.
  • HP DeskJet 3050 a"the printer and the computer are connected to different routers"

I am trying to configure my J611 all-in-one HP DeskJet 3050 again on my wireless network and this is the message I get "the printer and the computer are connected to different routers" but I only have one router! (Netgear WNDR3400).  My operating system is Windows 7.  What I am doing wrong?

Yes, you have a router, but there two (technically three) networks.  I guess that is your printer or your computer is connected to the Guest network.  Check that your PC is not on the network of comments.

  • DeskJet 5500: When the printer uses the 57 cartridge?

I thank very you much for your reply to my last post. Makes perfect sense.

I'm doing a huge amount of B & W / grey scale printing; I use 56 about two cartridges a week and I reload them successfully for a few tens of cycles each.

My 57 cartridges also mpty very frequently while I print almost any color - the only color is perhaps a small logo on the page.

I tried to use the gray filter in Macintosh 10.4.11 system to send a grayscale image to the printer, but the 57 cartridge still empty quickly, even if the printed color is negligible.

If the page still contains the least amount of color, 57 cartridge automatically prints the whole page, or the cartridge 56 prints black and the 57 print the little bit of color?

If the 57 prints the whole page if it contains ANY color, is there anything I can do in the impression of New York to get the printer to use the cartridge 56 instead? I took to remove the cartridge 57, but when I put again, the printer goes through the cycle of test page, I want to avoid if I can.

Thanlk in advance for your help.  I can't tell you how much it means for a user that a knowledgeable HP employee has actually answered questions through this forum. Other companies to let users themselves, often to hang in the wind without usable responses.

Many use printers, not only HP, so-called 'underprinting' this is the pose of an ink of color on the page before the black ink.  Essentially, it is a primer for the paper.  The color dries quickly and is a base for black ink, allowing it to dry and cure without spreading out on the page.  If you have already printed with the cartridges out of alignment and saw a blue or magenta shadow to your text, you see the underprinting.  That's why, when the same printing black text, the printer uses a color ink.

This printer is able to print reserve mode, which means it can print with 1 single cartridge installed.  The printing speed may be slower, but it's an easy way to make sure you are not using any color.  For reserve mode, remove the cartridge you want to use.  (Find a hermetic place to store this vertical cartridge with the nozzles pointing down as it is when it is installed in the printer, or it will dry out and become useless!)  To leave the reserve mode, put a good cart in the empty slot.

  • HP Deskjet D1320 align the print cartridges fail

    Hello

So I recently broke my printer to work on a couple projects.  The old cartridges is dead, so I bought brand new and installed today.  When installing the latest software of HP printer, the alignment will fail.  Step by step:

    (1) Center of Solutions HP Open

    (2) open Toolbox

    (3) device Services tab

    (4) align the ink cartridges

    (5) align the

However, after click on align, * nothing *.  It's as if the part of the alignment of the software was not installed.  I * can print * very well, but alignment doesn't matter.   I can also print a page of test very well.

I also did the standard troubleshooting: remove and reinstall the cartridges, restart the printer, unplug the printer, reinstall the software.  * Nothing works.* again, it is as if the part of the alignment of the software was not installed.

So what can I do to solve the problem of alignment?

    Thank you

    Drogan

PS OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1.  Connection: USB

You are right.  It's a good general practice to align the printer when new cartridges are installed, but it is not mandatory.  Alignment is made for purposes of printing quality.  On this printer, the print head is part of the ink cartridge.  When a new cartridge is seated, it may or may not be in alignment.  It looks like your cartridges are in alignment.

You could try to shut down your computer (not a reset) and do a Hard Reset of the printer as described in the following link.  Click here  After you restart the computer, is there a difference?

If not, and the print quality is good, I recommend you skip the alignment.  If you want to be able to make an adjustment, you could try to do a complete uninstall of the printer software and download and install the drivers from hp.com.  Click here

  • HP Deskjet 1513: Cancel the print job

    Hello
Just as I started a print job, I discovered that I had to cancel it. Why is there not a button easy to find to cancel the job. There is a 'Pause' button, which took me a while to find, but nearby there should be a button "Cancel Print Job". I finally found the queue and remove the work here, but I should not have to go through so much trouble. Designers can send a software update which will be a button "Cancel"?

    Thank you!

The 'X' button beneath the power button on the front panel of the Deskjet 1513 is a Cancel button.  Pressing it will stop printing of a work in progress.

    Comment

In my opinion, unless you want to print the notice yourself for some reason, this might be the time to look for a local printing Service company that can help by printing the invitations for you with your special message / staff.

You can provide the staff of print service with a sample of your message that is printed on plain paper.  This way you are not tempted and then perhaps overwhelmed with choices that may be other than what you have already decided.

    Why use a printing Service?

    • This printer also beautiful be, isn't able to print invitations from the way you expect.
    • The invitations are likely to be expensive and perhaps not easily replaceable.
    • The test phase may exceed the number of invitations you want to risk.

If you do, you could remove this in your list of items "I do" and entrusts the care professionals.

    Hey @mangee,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today to solve the printing problem of Microsoft Word that you encounter when you try to print from your computer Windows 8.1 for the printer all-in-one HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515. Because you are able to print from all programs except one, I don't think that what you feel is a conflict driver on your computer Windows 8.1. To resolve this conflict, can I please have you perform the following steps.

    How to add another driver:

    1. Open your screen to Start by clicking the windows button in the lower left corner of your computer screen or by selecting the "Windows" button in the bottom left of your keyboard to the left of the Ctrl key
    2. In the screen type start "devices and printers
    3. If the option devices and printers automatically fills, click settings at the top right and then click on devices and printers.
    4. In the devices and printers folder right click on your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 and left click on printer properties
    5. Left click on the Advanced tab
    6. Left-click on new driver
    7. When the new driver window just press 'Next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
    8. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    9. DeskJet 9800 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 9800 does appear to only select "Windows Update" at the bottom left and once the update is completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
    10. After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit Next to complete the wizard driver new
    11. Under the printer properties window, select "Apply", but don't hit not OK
    12. Select the general tab
    13. Rename your printer HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 at
    14. Click OK
    15. Finally, right click on your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 one more time and click on Printing Preferences
    16. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    17. Left click on the drop down menu 'Normal' for quality printing at the bottom right and change its normal fast
    18. Press apply and OK

Now that the other pilot is successfully added to, please try to print the new Word.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hear from you!

I was wondering if everything can perhaps help me?

I'm in Uni and so have to print several etc test and for all these front page - but every time I try to print this cover on the printer page or amends the provision does not print. Why is this?
The cover page looks essentially like a chart with several boxes.

And even if there is enough paper in the printer it says exactly the opposite, I want this problem is easy to fix (remove the film and put it again), but it's starting to annoy me

    Hello @alinah,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are printing problems when printing a cover sheet with your tests to your computer Windows 8.1 for the all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 2540. In addition, you have met your printer issues as well with intermittent 'in paper'. I want to help you solve these issues today.

To be honest, the paper intermittent power issue and the cover page number can down to a problem of programming with your printer. If your "brains" of printers is corrupt in any way that the printer is not responding correctly. To make your printers programming up to date, please click here. When the site opens, select the download button at the top left. Allow the download to run. Please follow the instructions on the screen to complete the Firmware update of the programming.

Once the update is complete test please print again. If the number of cover persists, please continue to the next step.

    Add another driver:

It is likely that the driver for Deskjet you use is in conflict with your Windows 8.1 operating system, even if your printer is compatible with the Windows 8.1. To ensure that a driver conflict provokes questions, please follow the steps below.

    1. Open the Start screen (by selecting the windows start button in the lower left corner or by selecting the "Windows" button at the bottom left of your keyboard to the left of the 'Ctrl' key

    3. If the option devices and printers automatically fills, click settings at the top right and then click on devices and printers.
    4. In the devices and printers folder right click on your HP Deskjet 2540 and left-click on properties of the printer
If Deskjet 9800 is only select "Windows Update" at the bottom left and once the update has been completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
    10. After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit Next to complete the wizard driver new
    11. Under the printer properties window, select "Apply", but don't hit not OK
    12. Select the general tab
    13. Rename your printer in HP Deskjet 2540
    14. Click OK
    15. Finally, right click on your HP Deskjet 2540 one more time and left-click on Printing Preferences
    16. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    17. Left click on the drop down menu 'Normal' for quality printing at the bottom right and change its normal fast
    18. Press apply and OK

Once the new driver is added, please test print to see if your problem is resolved.

  • HP DESKJET INK ADVANTAGE 1515: To connect the HP DESKJET INK ADVANTAGE 1515 printer device to multiple computers.

Mr President, I have HP DESKJET INK ADVANTAGE 1515 PRINTER I want to connect to my two computers with all FIRST Windows XP and the second having Windows 7 operating systems. Kindly help me to do this in detail...  THANKS IN ADVANCE

What's your plan for the connection?   It is a USB printer only, no network connection.  You can connect to a computer and then enable Microsoft File and print sharing on both computers.   Or if your router has a USB port that supports printers CAN operate when connected there.

    Those are your options.

I had my HP Deskjet 3052 a work from PC, MAC, iphone / ipad on my Airlink wifi after a reset on the printer - router - modem.

It fails when I try to use it later in the day - unless I'm resting again.

Do I have to reset each time I print?

New modem/router solved my disconnect problem - but I still cannot connect my imac running Mac OS X 10.5.8.

I am connected to the wireless - i.e. - accesses the internet, I cannot connect deskjet - is told by the way now I hace a 3520e model - instead of the 3052.

  • Reconfiguring a printer wireless deskjet 3520 on the new network.

Hello... I bought and installed my deskjet 3520 on my wireless network and 2 laptops about 1 week ago.

Everything was fine but then a PC started refusing to connect to the network.

Technical support to the Belkin unhooked all the network and uninstalled everything... then reconfigured a new wireless network. Call Net2.

Access both the web very well on Net2 PC but the printer connects is no longer makes sense if he still thinks I'm on Net1.

So... the question is... What is the best way to get the 3520 to be accessible on Net2 on BOTH computers.

I didn't want to screw up whatever it either so have not tried whatever it is me again!

I'm reasonably notified have the installation disc. Win7 operation on both computers. Wired ethernet connection available and can connect each PC with a USB stick if necessary... but really want to use both wireless. I also have original HP print and scan doctor installed from the installation process!

    No problem!
