HP Deskjet 3051 a model J611H: printer is in an error state

For months after a cross-country skiing, I couldn't set up the function wireless on my printer (he had already worked with no problem). After a factory reset my router yesterday, it is finally connected to my home network. I tried to print a test page to make sure that everything worked properly and I got the following message on my computer:

"The printer is in an error state. Please solve the error of the device and try again. »

There is no error message on the screen of the printer itself, however. The menu normal forms of copy/scanning/quick is in place. The printer menus say he is connected to the network and gives me the IP address to which it is connected. I was able to print the 'printer status report"directly from the printer, so I know that it can print at least somehow.

Is it possible to fix this?

    I understand that you use a HP Officejet 5740 e-all-in-one printer with a Windows 10 computer and you need to restart the printer to clear a State of 'error', so the printer will print. I would like to help with that.

    There are also a few different reasons why something like this can happen. It could possibly be network or firewall related, or maybe even related software.

    I would like to begin by downloading and running the tool HP Print and Scan Doctor to check the installed printer software. This tool can diagnose and solve many problems of printing software and printer.

    You can also check to make sure that the printer firmware is up-to-date. On the Control Panel Home screen controle control printer, drag your finger from right to left on the screen and select Setup. In the menu select Maintenance of the printerconfiguration, and then select update of the printer, and then look for the updates of the printer.

    If the printer doesn't have the printing problem with PC and not with cell phones and mobile devices, you can try following the steps described in this document of support - printer is offline (Windows).

    If you plan to use a USB between PC and the printer connection, you do not need to uninstall the software, you just remove the printer devices and printers on the computer and connect the USB cable.

    You can always the printer wirelessly with other devices if you have a computer with a USB cable.

    Finally, you need not re-register with the HP Instant ink. You can close the windows when they open after you have installed the software.

    Try disabling your firewall and anti-virus. Sometimes, it might be something blocking the communication.

    I saw your post on your desire 7645 being in a "State of the error" and not printing on Windows 10 and wanted to tender hand to try to help you. I have a few suggestions to start with and would try you them and let me know the results when you're done.

    1 be able to reset the printer:

    • Turn on the printer.
      With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
      Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
      Wait at least 15 seconds.
      Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
      Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
      If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
    • Tip: make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.

    2. try to make copies of the printer, If the copies are working properly, proceed to step 3.

    3. run the print and scan the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results. Please send me these results.

    4. try printing and scanning.

    If the copies do not work, please consider contacting HP to see them order a replacement for you printer printers warranty.

    Just received this printer refurbished HP 2 weeks ago to replace the one who had a problem with printhead.  Printing worked initially, but now I get the message "the printer into an error state" when I try to print.  The screen at the front of the printer automatically turns off as well, as he is extinguished.

    1. Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.

    3. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet (do not use a bar or a surge protector).

  • DeskJet 3051 a direct print from device compatible pictbridge.

    The specifications for the printer online all-in-one deskjet 3051 has said that direct printing is supported for pictbridge compatible devices, which is the reason why I bought it.  I tried to print directly from my Canon camera, which is also pictbridge compatible.  The problem is that there is nothing in the manual of the printer that processes the connection to the camera and the USB cable provided with the camera does not have the USB plug on the back of the printer.  Does anyone know how to do this?

    Hello, I had to get help with a problem with my printer HP Deskjet 3051 a J611.

    I was always able to properly scan using my printer until I installed the update for Windows 10.

    I use a Sony VAIO computer Fit portable (may 2013 model) originally shipped with Windows installed Pro 8.1.

    After I installed Windows 10 and I tried to use my scanner two weeks later (it prints very well), I can't seem to use the same program I was using before 10 Windows to use my scanner. I tried to use printing HP and doctor Scan to fix my problem, and he told me that my printer had an unknown driver error that it could not solve. I also tried to reset my laptop (and power cycling the printer) and to uninstall and reinstall the driver for my printer.

    One thing to note: I use my printer using the wireless and wired (via USB), Wi - Fi for the scanner and the printer.

    I usually use the printer function when I want things quickly, using an app on my Android phone, or otherwise, using my laptop (wireless, of course). But when it comes to use the scanner, I find it works much more quickly to use it via USB on my laptop via the Wi - Fi.

    I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I'm been negligent.  I am operating Windows XP. Yes, I'm an old lady on an old computer. In January, I bought a Deskjet 3051 a because my old Scanner HP, finally the waived.  I have been using for several months, but impatient whenever I analysis.

    When you load the scan software, you will notice a button Advanced settings... . By pressing will open another window that has 3 tabs: Scan, fileand Destination. The Destination tab has options to change the Base file name ofthe save locationand what to do After the Scan. If Windows Explorer launch is checked that once the scan is done with the scan file will open automatically for you.

    Ive recently bought a series all-in-one printer Deskjet of HP 1510 and Ive got to the stage where I need to align my printhead. However, the alignment page that is being printed is not print entirely - there are no words on the page at all - so I cannot complete the installation of the printer and cannot print anything.
