    This problem has developed since yesterday.  When I scan a whole page, although the entire page shows, a part of the page shows this option is selected, but I've made the selection.  If I deselect the part or not, only the selected portion is recorded.   I used Dr. printer-scanner, that is no problem.  I couldn't find anything in the FAQ or the forum to address this issue.  I don't remember the exact date of purchase but I think it's less than a year.  Software help?

    Before you uninstall the software I highly suggest to check the scan settings in the HP software.

    If you select this option to scan an image Auto-cropping function is likely to be shortlisted and so the analysis may get cropped.

    Just installed HP DESKJET 2540 ALL-IN-ONE.  Wireless printing for iPad works great, but PC Dell, print quality a part of the printed text only demi-imprime throughout all documents.  I tried to clean the cartridges, printer, align the cartridges and go through all these steps.  Even the printed sheet of alignment has the lines of half-print on the page.

    I understand that you have a print quality problem when you print your Windows 7 computer to the all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 2540 and autonomous. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. What is unusual is that the autonomous alignment report shows failure to print quality with half-print lines, but when you print from your iPad everything looks great. Because the default occurs on the report of alignment that the problem you encounter is hardware related. Thank you for all the troubleshooting steps you have already finished before joining the Forums of HP's Support. At this point, I'll make go you through some additional troubleshooting steps.

    Please click here to access the print quality troubleshooting procedure. When the support document opens do execute Solution a, Solution three, and five, and six and seven. This includes all sub-steps under the listed Solutions. Pay close attention to manually clean the ink nozzles. In addition, yor need to run up to 3 clean your print head. If you have already run several cleaning please do not operate everything cleans more than ink is used to clean the printing system and we do not want to waste the ink more.

    Once the troubleshooting completed, test please print again.

During the printing of new document, new alignment message came. Returned and gave the print order. Print a faint fary. Check the ink level. Right and left less. Stop printing.     I understand that you have some problems with the printing of your Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

    To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet , not a surge protector. Once it's done this document describes How to solve print quality problems with your printer. If after completing the document, you still have problems with print quality, then the cartridge will need to be replaced. Please find below the link to contact HP support.

    I have a problem with my printer which, when used with windows 10 works fine, but I'm also using Linux Mint cinnamon 17.3 O.S. on my laptop which is my favorite operating system. The problem is that I'm unable to print, or Linux does not recognize this printer model or vice / versa

    The printer is there when I open "Printer" in the Mint menu. But that's all. If I open another window in ' what impression "it shows several documents ready to be printed." But does not print! Although it printed fine on my old desktop running mint "Mate" O.S. (now is no longer in use). I tried to download and install "HPLIP but unsuccessfully someone out there with a solution, it would be greatly appreciated."

    Hi, I tried your suggestion and I now have my installed printer, my printer flash lights but it wont print, I built a 33 print queue jobs... have cancelled their and tried to print a test page, but nothing prints... either by the way, I am pretty new to Linux and I'm on a learning curve steep here.

    In the middle of printing of the check print cartridge light error came.  The cartridges are faily new and there has been no discoloration.  I tried to remove and reinsert the cartridges, disconnect the printer from the computer, disconnect the printer, press Cancel.  Error will not clear

  • I have a Photosmart Premium all-in-one c310 printer. It will not print black.

    I tried changing the cartridge and still no black.  I also get an error message when I try to align the cartridges.

    Nothing special, just alignment cartridge error.  Any ideas why my black will not print

    It seems that some of the old black ink can be dried in the ports of the printhead from the C310, nyart12020.

    There are a few steps to help solve this problem in the document below:

    The document led to replace the printhead from the C310.  That's when we could use check whether the printer is IN or out of warranty.

    In case of warranty, then call the HP Technical Support on this printer.

    If outside warranty, then you have two options:

    1. You can buy the print head for a printer C310 from the HP parts store by searching for the CN642a part number.
    2. We can try a step not sanctioned HP to attempt to manually clean the printhead across a dipping process.  Information for how to do this can be located underneath:

    Unable to connect wireless.  OK, via the USB port.  Need a wireless connection.  Doctor Scan is without help.

    Who did. Thank you. I do not understand why IT worked, but it setting up wireless initially failed. It was VERY frustrating. I was ready to trash this abiut printer.

    P.S: it prints very well. Photos of ESP. My children and I are very impressed.

    I am trying to add an IP address manually, and the default gateway and the subnet mask. When I enter the details below I get an error: invalid input. I changed everything I can but don't know what entry is not valid.

    Manual IP: 192.168.1.249

    Manual Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

    Manual default gateway: 192.168.1.1

    Preferred manual DNS server: 8.8.8.8

    Manual of the auxiliary DNS server: 8.8.4.4

    The IP address on my routers range is 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.149

    I use Windows 8.1 with a Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit router. My printer is connected to my wireless network.

    I finally got the IP address in the manual fields. I followed all the instructions that you have provided, including uninstalling the software and put it back, however, I still received the error 'invalid input '.

    I used IE to make these changes and decided to try to use Google Chrome to see if I have the same question. I don't have. Google Chrome allowed me to make the changes that I wanted to without any problem whatsoever. Thank you for your help on this issue.

    I understand that you have a problem where you set the printer to a specific setting and it is switching to a wrong default setting.

    Did you ensure that when you leave the game advanced settings of the software that you are by clicking on 'apply', then 'Save'.

    drakster, after the validation, I used the software to scan my printer for questions, hp ttrobleshooting did not any.today when I turned on the printer, everything was fine. go figure.

    As other users when you try to download Smartprint, I get as far as "Parameter of Configuration" but then told me "has an unexpected error has occurred-error code 5".»  I can't find any information about the error 5 in the HP support pages. that would correct the problem.     Actually, I meant the Internet Explorer browser.

    Please check if you have a compatible version of Microsoft Internet Explorer on your computer.

    What Version of Internet Explorer do I?

    If you use a newer version, you will need to download and install an older version of Internet Explorer to be able to use the smart printing.
