  • Touchpad HP ENVY 4-1215dx problems

There are a few problems with the touchpad on my laptop 4-1215dx HP ENVY.  One problem is the bottom of the touch pad, which is used for left and right clicks.  Sometimes the click noise is very loud and sound like something is broken, and the click does not work.  If I put the laptop mode only 'sleep' and leave it for 3-4 hours, everything works when I exit mode "Eve".  I highly doubt to update or reinstall the driver would fix the loud rattling noise.

The second problem occurs on when you tapoterez the main part of the touchpad to make a right or left click.  I have tap several times, and the click does not work.  It works after taking the laptop out of fashion 'sleep'.

The two problems are random and cannot be re-created at will.  Due to the loud click noise I think something can be broken with the touchpad or the motherboard underneath.  If the touchpad is broken, can it be replaced or what I have to live with it or get a new laptop?  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Hi @garyg45

I saw your post about the problems with the touchpad of your wife. From what you described, it could be a hardware problem with the touch pad. I suggest you reinstall your Synaptics TouchPad because it is a solution that requires no disassemble the laptop or send it in for repair.

    Synaptics TouchPad Driver (Windows 7)

    Synaptics TouchPad Driver (Windows 8/8.1)

If you have had the laptop for less then one year or bought a long warranty give us a call for a repair. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or Start here if you live outside of North America.

The TouchPad is a replaceable part and page 54 of your Maintenance and Service of Guide , you will find instructions on how to replace it and the compatible replacement part numbers. Do not do this if you are in warranty, as this leads to the cancellation.

  • Adding second hdd to dv7-7000 will break the warranty?

I want to add ssd as a second hdd to my dv7-7000 and I'm curious to know if this way I have the warranty

Hi, congratulations on your purchase! If you have an option to add a secondary HARD drive, you will be certainly able to do that (not sure SSD/non-SSD), however, which certainly does not cancel the warranty.

Just make sure you get the right part.

  • Charging battery HP Envy x 2 problem

I started having problems with the secondary battery on my HP Envy x 2. I have for a few months now, and first of all, everything was fine. A couple of weeks, I started having intermittent warnings when I lit the envy. He said there was a problem with the calibration of secondary battery and it must be callibrated or possibly replaced. The problem is that even if it says this he sometimes shows that the battery has with full success and sometimes it isn't. It still does not appear to use the load sitting in the accumulator, it is intermittent, too. I have been using the battery calibration procedures and although the battery shows once again as a 100% load he always says that the battery must be callibrated.

    Ok.

Your craving for x 2 has a 11-030ea product name.

Followthe troubleshooting procedures in this document from HP web. If you still have problems with the batteries \an\or load later, I suggest you Contact HP for warranty repair.

  • HP Envy m6: hinge problem

    Hello world

I'm having the same problem of hinge than many other people with my Hp Envy m6. It is more under warranty and I wonder what are the options I have. My laptop is everything to me because I'm in my last year of college and I'm also a DJ is an essential part of my life.

Bottom left of my screen (black plastic part) is cracked due to hinges loosens. I see many other people are having the same problem, but it becomes serious on my laptop as the screen begins to blink if I move the laptop.

Could someone please point me in the right direction as seems to be a problem with the hardware as one number of others have the same problem.

    Thank you for your time,

  • Laptop of HP ENVY 15 TS: problems installing the audio driver

    Hi all

My product is the HP ENVY 15 TS laptop.

    Product number: E7Z34UA #ABA

    OS: 8.1 64-bit Windows

A few days ago, I opened my laptop to find that there is no sound coming from the speakers at all. I was completely baffled because the audio was working perfectly fine before, even after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I tried several solutions posted on other forums, such as install other drivers and uninstall the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and then scan for hardware changes. Now, however, when you try to update the driver IDT, it says that a peripheral attatched to the system does not work. What should I do?

I've provided screenshots of things that appear when trying to solve this problem.

Hello skyeisthelimit. I understand there is no sound emitted by the mobile phone. According to the description, I think that the question is focused on software. However, I won't remove the defective hardware of my mind. You have attempted a few troubleshooting, which is excellent. I'll provide some troubleshooting facilities (some steps you already completed). Please follow troubleshooting all in order, I suggest:

First of all, there are some tutorial of Microsoft Assistant that solves the problems of sound in Windows 8.1. Please follow the wizard until it is finished. You can locate this wizard here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows/no-sound-help#no-sound=windows-8 & v1h = win8tab1 & v2h = win7tab1 & v3h = winvistatab1 & v4h = winxptab1

Then, follow the troubleshooting, indicate in this document from HP: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03257712

    Finally, you will be asked to reinstall the updated drivers. Please install it: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-124012-1 & cc = us & dlc = in & lc = on & os = 4158 & product = 5450018 & sw_lang =

Assuming that the problem is not resolved, the next step is to refresh of Windows 8. This will force the computer to return to Windows 8. It will also clean the computer, to a certain extent (it is not as powerful as a recovery). For more information about how to update Windows, please see this document from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

If the operating system update does not resolve the problem, reinstall the operating system is the next step. Make sure that you back up all your data beforehand.

For more information on how to effectively back up your computer, please this document of reference: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us & lc = on & dlc = in & docname = c03270359

For more information about how to perform a system restore, please reference this document: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03489643

Please answer with the results of your troubleshooting. I'm only here to help!

  • HP Envy 4500/Series: Cablelink (Austrian cable service) / installation HP Envy 4500 series problem

Hi, I have a new HP Envy 4500, and it does not connect to my wireless network. He sees the correct SSID (using WPA - PSK / TKIP or AES), but he will not join the network after providing the WPA key. Printing test results shows a FAILURE on > parameters - without filtering. I don't know if I use MAC filtering on the network, because I don't know how to check this on this modem.

I am also unable to join using the WPS procedure. I tried with and without a USB connection. I have 5 other wireless devices on the network, which all connect without any problems.

In addition, I put static IP details on the Panel after reading the HP forum where this problem was stated by setting just the IP address and no subnets. Still no connection

The printer works via USB ok.

I got it connected to my neighbors A1s wi - fi network.

I have a new wireless network to cable and modem put cable in the last week connected to Cablelink. I have a new router Cisco EPC3940. I tried to restart, connection to WPS and wireless USB connected. Reset the printer and modem and tried with and without using a static IP address.

I tried to reconnect to my neighbors A1 connection - success.

    I tried with USB lead-success

I tried direct to print without wire-success

I tried to share wireless USB by using HP software-failure

I tried the HP PC don't doctor too - no available solutions.

I have read and tried several fixes on the HP forum-no success

The fault is clearly my printer connect to my cable modem wireless (or my printer connect to my wi - fi of Cablelink) like all other connection works!

I posted at the end of a similar position, but did not respond. Help please.

    Carl

I finally solved this problem after 2 weeks of trying everything! Based on the above comment from BH, I thought that I had to turn off my radio show from 5 Hz. My new router has prevented to me because of the way Cablelink run their software. However, I finally got access to change it. I disabled 5 Hz. I still have the invalid password! Then, I changed the predefined WPA WPA2. It worked. I turned on my 5 Hz back show, the printer is remained connected. I then changed back to WPA2 and immediately lost connection! I put it to WPA and it connected again! I did NOT change key wireless, he remained at 16 characters, just the level of security! It seems if I want my Envy NEW 4500 with UPDATE drivers on my wireless network, I have to REDUCE my password security, which comes by default with modems cable new with Cisco, and accept the WPA! The strange thing is my old Iphone 4 and my old Apple TV both connected without problem. Therefore more recent Iphone to my wife 5 c and our newest Samsung UHD TV. So why a NEW model of printer is sold in stores right now, not able to work on WPA2? I lost 2 weeks on this issue before the sort it! It works, but I'm not happy! Same HP UK failed to connect after 4 hours on their online chat and remote assistance online! I worked it out myself from the comment by BH! Thanks BH. HP POST PLEASE A REPLY ON THIS THREAD WHEN YOU FINALLY WRITE A SOFTWARE FOR YOUR PRINTER TO WORK ON WPA2. MAYBE YOU CAN EMAIL CISCO IN ORDER TO WORK OUT HOW TO DO THIS BETWEEN YOU.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 second HDD installation problem

    Hello

I recently bought an internal WD7500BPVX 750 GB SATA HDD compatible with my HP Pavilion dv7 - 2030eV to be used as a second hard drive, since I already have a 250 GB HARD drive on the laptop. I also bought a SATA cable which I think is compatible and a caddy for the disc. When I connected the SATA cable and pressed the Start button the laptop powered upwards for about a second and then stop.  I disconnected the SATA cable and left only 250GB driver connected. When I turned on again your laptop booted normally. Once I tried to connect the new HARD drive again the same thing happened. Any ideas what might be happening? I checked two times for parts compatibility before you buy, but I can't rule out it as a cause.

Thank you all in advance for your help.

    Hello

This series does not start with two different hard disks. If you want a second hard drive, you need the same 250 GB drive as the original to make it work.

  • HP Pavilion DV7 7000 quad: compatibility HDD 15 mm with HP DV7

Hello! I have an edition four HP Pavillion DV7 700 with the following specifications:

    • Processor: Intel Core i7-3820 QM 2.7 Ghz
    • Graphics card: nVidia GeForce GT 650 M with GDDR5 memory
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Display: 17.3 "1920 x 1080 resolution
    • OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64
    • Storage: 2 x 1 TB HD 5400 RPM cache 8 MB (Toshiba)
    • Battery: 9-cell Li-ion, 62Whr
    • Wireless: Wi - Fi 802.11 b/g/n

    • Optical drive: Blu - Ray player / DVD writer
    • Dimensions: 16,38 "x 10,79" x 1.28 "(W x D x H)

I would like to buy a drive HARD Seagate 4 TB ST4000LM016, 5400 RPM, cache of 128, which is 15mm thin. He'll be back in my laptop?

Also, I would like to ask questions about the other models of hard disks that would be able to work with graphics programs, including Adobe Premiere CS6 and above. I need better, faster rendering and export of speed. Also, the hard disk must be at least 1 TB of capacity, or even better.

Thank you very much for your answers!

Does not fit 15mm. You will not be able to get the closed access cover.

You could get a full SSD 1 TB that would satisfy any concern for speed, that you may have, but will be provided to or simply more $ $300. The other option is to get a 1 TB drive 7200 RPM with the largest cache of reading possible. Something like this:

A SSHD, which is a cross or "hybrid" of a mechanical and solid state drive is also an option:

    1 TB SSD:

  • HP dv7 6b51ea: hp dv7 6b51ea, install second SSD hard drive HELP

Yes, the cable's owner. HP recovery will not install the software from the factory to a 256 gigabytes as the SSD drive, you want to buy. I understand perfectly what you want to do and I try to help you to do so after doing it myself several times. In the hope of you help get through the common pitfalls.

This is the cable you need on eBay UK:

    http://www.eBay.co.UK/ITM/HP-Pavilion-dv7-6000-6xxx-series-second-hard-disk-drive-connector-cable-SATA-/221560484828?hash=item339608b3dc:g:0PoAAMXQQQZRzzaH

Now let's work on getting to the supported Windows 7 installation if you install it on your Virgin SSD. You are going to need some sort of media set as an external hard drive. We need to get the HDD 1 TB in the Bay of primary and get Windows 7 running on it. The HP recovery disk will work for this.

  • Envy 17 3270NR: Envy 3270NR - mouse problems

    Help, please!

the touchpad on my envy 17 is so imprecise / jumpy.  I can move the pointer in the right place, but when I click on the mouse button it jumps off the side and selects something else.

This problem can be resolved via a patch or what I need to replace the touch pad?

I think you missed a step between step 4 and 5, you will need to press the ESC key before you can press f10.

Except that there was an improvement, thank you

  • HP Envy 15 1195eo problem of USB Ports!

I am facing a problem with my usb ports on my HP Envy 15 1195eo. I tried a number of things to make them work, but nothing did. Basically, when I connect a usb device, it will connect, stay tuned for a very few seconds, then disconnect for a few seconds and then connect for a few seconds again, and he repeats like that of infinity. So I'd like prompting assistance works again!

    News of the computer:

    Model: HP Envy 15-1195eo

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    Hello again Unboxeremail.

That solves the problem at the origin?  This can be useful information.

I took a look inside the laptop and noticed three ports (2 ports standard right) USB and eSATA/USB port a combination on the left, what port is non-functional?  In addition, the image of the motherboard indicates that the USB ports are not on a panel separated from the motherboard so a connection problem is very unlikely here.

Do you have a multimeter?  Check the USB port to see if the connection is down at random would check it like a hardware problem.

If the problem persists after a new installation of Windows, then this indicates a hardware problem.  This laptop is guaranteed?  You can see here.  If it is under warranty, you should contact HP support and let them know about the issue. The number for US / Canadian customers is 1-800-474-6836.  If you are in another part of the world, you visit HP's Support around the world to find the coordinates for your region.

  • HP Envy 13 d008na: problems of fingerprint - HP Envy 13-d008na reader

    Hello

I recently bought a laptop from HP Envy 13-d008na. It works well; However, I now encountered a problem with the fingerprint sensor. Hello Windows and HP SimplePass worked brilliantly so far - I've used them frequently to log into my laptop, as well as online accounts.

For the first time, my fingerprint was not recognized and I tried several times before finally shrugging it off and connect with my password. However, it was when the fingerprint reader has first 'broken' and has not worked since.

When I discovered this, naturally I removed my footprint of the system and tried to sign up again. I succumbed this making, like the HP SimplePass software gets only 45% trying to register my fingerprints! I feel like this may be a hardware problem - of course, there is no physical evidence of damage, but my experience with the problems of this kind, my best guess is that the fingerprint reader is defective and it should reset.

The player flashes always white on an application for entry, red when the shot is not valid and still going from red to white when I move my finger on it, in a way that was "successful", before it stopped working.

I tried everything I can think of. Completely removed and resettled biometric drivers and software from the HP support page, registered/player replaced all fingerprints and even tried using older versions of SimplePass to try to solve this problem.

The warranty is still valid of course (I only had the laptop for a few weeks!), but it would be great if there was a solution which avoids me having to go through the hassle to send it off for repairs!

Thank you - if you need more info please do not hesitate to ask!

    Hello @kirrri,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your message and understand that the fingerprint reader no longer works on your HP Envy 13 d008na. I appreciate the detail you have included in your message. I see you have done some troubleshooting yourself some of the steps in the document can seem you repetitive, but to achieve the resolution that I would recommend that they are executed in the order.

First, follow the instructions contained in this document.

The laptops HP ENVY - Fingerprint function stops working after system reset is performed

Then, perform a hard reset. If the problem is still not resolved, follow this document: HP Notebook PC - troubleshooting of a fingerprint reader (I know that the document is for windows 8; most of the steps are exactly the same)

    Thank you.

If this post helped you, feel free to click on the thumbs up!
