Thank you very much, but I was able to fix with the help of Ajay Shenoy of the hp support team. and the steps I used.

(1) change the RAID native SATA mode in BIOS
(2) and also activate CTRL 'I' calls during the MISSION with option in BIOS
(3) now during the press POST CTRL 'I' to configure the hard disk
(4) it will show 2 hard drives it (500 GB and 32 GB)
(5) select Delete Volume RAID option
(6) (and delete the RAID Volume for two hard drives (after you remove both)
Hard drives appears as no RAID virtual drive)
(7) once deleted still select create RAID volume option and select RAID 0
Option (mirror/Cache)
(8) now to save changes and exit and I run the new windows 8, only I lost some data

  • Not found boot device. Hard drive (3F0)

    Hello

    I have a HP Pavilion 15 laptop n203ed 8 64-bit windows-based and have updated my bios.

About a month ago, I bought an SSD and improved my HARD drive, it worked fine until yesterday, I started getting the error message "not found boot device. Hard drive (3F0) '. I get this error message whenever I restart the laptop, but when I load the bios, change nothing and then tap on save and exit suddenly it restarts again the error disappeared and everything goes back to normal. Until this happens again in a few hours. I've had 4 times now.

My question: is this a hardware problem or software, I would return the SSD? or could it be something else?

    Thanks in advance.

  • "Hard drive - (3F0) BootDevice not found" after deleting Windows

    Hello.

I have a ProBook s 4530 accompanying pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium. I'm a Linux user for a long time, so the first step that I took after the purchase was reducing the OS partition and install Arch Linux on the free space created. I used the laptop in this configuration for something like a year now, but since I rarely even start on Windows, I decided to save free space by deleting them entirely. You use cfdisk, I deleted their partitions.

After a short time (about a day), I got off the machine, and I found a few old labelless CD I wanted to inspect. I started the calculated and inserted in the drive. It was obvious that it was a Windows XP installation CD, so I turned off the computer (before it has completed the phase of loading drivers).

(It is likely that the previous paragraph is unrelated to the error message, because the installation should not even touch the disk at this stage.) I also do not restart often, so I'm not sure that makes the computer startup between the removal of the partition and start the Windows XP CD.)

The next time I tried to start the PC, I was greeted with "Hard Disk - BootDevice (3F0) not found." All HP diagnostics were OK, and when I loaded GRUB on a live Ubuntu CD to my hard drive, it starts normally.

I admit the BIOS could be confused in some way by the partition table I, it starts with lots of free space and has no NTFS partitions, but I think that BIOS should not depend on the OS that I run. So, I have a few questions:

    1. The HP BIOS is trying to detect Windows, and it doesn't do anything differently if it does not find Windows hard disk? I googled around and did not find anyone with experience running as Linux on my laptop (just dual-boot).
    2. If so, is there some way I could convince them to begin the hard drive even through it is not Windows on it?

    Thank you.

Then he turns the laptop was confused because no partition has been marked as active. My bad.

The hard drive is new and I did not not how its gives me this error!

In addition, this laptop does not seem to boot from a cd to format!

    Hey BHK6,

I found out what was wrong! It was so simple!

I just need to make the boot inherited from the bios, like that he started directly from the hard drive and does not need of any software pre installed HP to start.

    Thanks for your help anyway

Whenever you get a message that the hard drive has failed with the hard drive (3F0) that indicates that the hard drive needs to be replaced to solve the problem

Could be due to the Application or a driver conflict, virus issues, corruptions of files due to incompatible applications, improper stops, update failures due to conflicts, mounted sudden power sudden, so portable falls etc...

HP will offer a replacement HDD if the laptop warranty is Active, otherwise you can buy a SATA hard drive in a nearby retail store

Please make sure that you get at least equal as long as the original one in order to use recovery disks. If you need you can buy a bigger, but not smaller hard drive capacity. For example, if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can improve it to 750 GB hard drive, but not 320 GB hard drive

Please try the troubleshooting below indicated once the steps:
Step 01. Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter AC.
Step 02. Press and hold the power button for more than 30 seconds
Step 03. Plug the AC power adapter / (leave the battery for now)
Step 04. Press the power button and check if the unit is operating normally

If the steps listed above is not enough, then you can try reinstalling the hard disk on your laptop

If the problem persists again please contact HP if your HP laptop is under warranty, HP could replace the hard drive and provide recovery media to restore the operating system to factory after the replacement (if you have not yet created recovery disks/USB support)

Note: Back up all personal data on an external drive if possible. Otherwise, you can connect the HDD defective via SATA Adapter USB with another PC or a PC even after replacing the HARD drive & put in place of the operating system and try to copy / retrieve files.

  • DV7-3160us: hard drive problem or the operating system?

After the HP screen, I get a black screen that says: Boot Device not found please install an operating system on your hard drive. Hard drive-(3F0).  But if I hit the f4 key it states: there is no hard drive.

If anyone out there can answer to this dilemma, I just need to make the recovery discs or replace the hard drive?

Thank you, had an independent check that the drive was dead. Can be fixed, but still old technology was so not worth.

Oops, I forgot that your hard drive is not detectable.

You have to try reinstalling the hard drive and see if it can be detectable, otherwise you can try to use a dolly or a box of 2.5 inches. If not I'm afraid you have to wear your hard drive to a recovery or store flat and to see if they can get the data, otherwise you'll lose everything.

  • LW46OUA #ABA: hard drive error. (EFO) Help

I turned my computer while it froze so I turned it back so he showed this: Boot Device not found please install an operating system on your hard drive. Hard drive - (3F0)

Ouch.  This error usually indicates that the hard drive has failed.  I would start by replacing the hard drive and see if the PC can recognize the new drive.  Without doing anything for the current except take out drive, then try to run the recovery on the new disk drive.  I can't find the info on LW46OUA #ABA, perhaps a different model number?

    Hello
Even if you have run any tests on the hard drive and you get the result as thin means not always your player is stable. If you are in warranty still you should consider to connect with the HP of your region and get a service / repair. They will run a few tests with you and then organize a pick for repair.

    Hello

Unfortunately, provided by HP HARD drive replacement will not have the operating system installed - you will need one set of recovery disks/usb media.

If you have not created your own game, you must order a replacement of HP - start by using the link below.

    Order HP recovery disks.

If you have a problem with this link, order them directly from HP.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

The procedure for using this media to reinstall the operating system on your new drive is detailed in the HP document on the following link.
