HP Envy 17-inch touchsmart: HP Envy 17 "will not open a session

the computer turns on fine but when I connect either by typing the password or by sliding my finger on the reader, it takes a while, but instead of going to the start of home screen, it just goes to a black screen where I can move the mouse, but don't do anything else, turn off the computer I have to turn it OFF manually. & lt; br gt; This problem persisted since yesterday evening. I tried to leave the computer on the black screen to drain the battery to see if it worked, and when I woke up this morning, the computer was connected and the battery has not been used very much, I was able to see the splash screen and able to use the Internet without any problems, but when I went to close the session and then log in the problem comes back, and I wasn't able to use the computer. I took the battery and press the power button for 30 seconds to do a hard reset and it could not solve the problem, I then left the battery and done a hard reset, I pressed the F2 key to do a diognostic test and he did turn down the brightness. PLEASE HELP ME, I'VE GOT THIS COMPUTER 3 DAYS AGO AND NOW IT DOES NOT WORK! I NEED HELP!

  • HP Envy 5540: HP Envy 5540 will not be printed on A4 photo paper

    As said in the title, the HP envy 5540 which has brought us recently will not print on A4 photo paper. When you try this it will be just the paper jam. It can print on the matte side of the shiny paper but who despises the point to print on glossy paper. Glossy paper in which you provided (10 x 15 cm) works very well so I don't see what the problem is.

    So I thought I'd post a response cela in case someone else wins the same problem. To resolve this problem when you put paper in the tray make sure that it is placed as left as possible. The reason for this is because the paper gets stuck to the right of the printer inside, this is of course because this model isn't try and calibrate the book itself just cause, it assumes that the Board is good enough.
    If this still does not work then I recommend that once in the basic printing options, select photo paper (HP or not depending on what you have). More there are also in Control Panel > display devices and printers and right click on the printer model you are using, and then select Printing Options. Then, check the orientation of the layout and for verification of the quality of the paper / source paper and media for what you feel would be good for you.

    Hope this helps someone else who has this problem because when I looked around I saw never the solution.

  • HP Envy 7640: HP Envy 7640 will not print photos from the photo tray

    I bought a HP Envy 7640 today, 11/05/2016.  It will NOT print photos from the photo tray.   The printer has paper in all trays, but keep taking 8 1/2 x 11 paper rather than photo paper.  I use the default application for the display of pictures (Microsoft Office 2010) and have tried selecting both the 4x6in of the index card. and sizes of 4 x 6/10 x 15 cm.  The end result is the same, an image printed in the middle of the plain paper.  I searched the forums and found that two related threads.  Given that I just install the printer today, I figure there will be newer drivers in the last hour, so I finished downloading "printing HP and Scan doctor."  He finds a "Match of Port issue" and that fixed it, but when I printed another picture, he was still on plain paper.  If I remove the paper and leave only in photo paper, the printer throws a fit and said that it is out of paper.  Any ideas?  I'm not a newbie, but in more than 20 years of use of HP products, this is the first time that I had to fill out a problem for a Board of Directors.  (And with the instant the ink program, it starts to accumulate the number of my printing without a single success.)

    RESOLVED - photo, once you select the printer & paper, you must go into OPTIONS, then the properties of the printer, then go to the paper/quality tab, then the paper Source and select manually the specific bac (bac/Photo main tray).  Sheesh, should we not automatic as soon as you select the paper size?

  • HP Envy 4500 will not print computer

    Hello

    My HP Envy 4500 works perfectly for some time now.  Unfortunately, it stopped printing from my Dell laptop, running Windows7. It scans to the laptop very well.  It copies fine, and it prints from my iPhone fine.

    I've reviewed a ton of messages and tried many things:

    * Uninstall/reinstall wireless (at least 8 times) - via the website https://123.hpconnected.com/activate/woobe/ENVY4500

    * Uninstall/reinstall via USB

    * ran doctor utility printing/scanning (or whatever it's called) and says it all looks very good

    sending a test with a HP tool page is fine, however, the internal test via the tool HP Print page fails

    I'm losing my mind and would be really grateful for the help.

    Thank you!

  • 4500 envy: Envy 4500 will not work after ink change

    I changed the ink cartridge in my HP Envy 4500.  It prints the alignment fine page.  I put on the screen to scan and it repeat me that it is «forever» scanning until I have Cancel.  Then, it is stuck on cancel until I have force a stop down.    I'm ready to take a hammer to this printer.

    Hi @Paulaayn,

    Please go on the HP Forums! I'd be happy to let you save your craving for 4500 sledge-hammering.

    I understand your printer is stuck in a mode of scanning and based on your description, it seems that it is the alignment page that didn't scan. You have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is this a surge protector or power bar? Even if you have used a surge protector/power bar this whole time and you feel that this is not the case, please connect to a wall outlet so that we can eliminate the source of energy as the primary cause.   Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power

    In this document, you will see, QUESTION: questions or problems may arise when a HP LaserJet printer is connected to a UPS (UPS), a power strip or a surge protector

    ↑ This is not limited to the Laserjet printers.

    I ask because I wonder if the printer does not have enough power to run the task. If you do not have the printer connected directly to a wall jack already, we will perform a hard reset. To do this, leave the printer and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release built his power, then after the minute, plug the printer in.

    Please let me know the results of your efforts, and I'll get back to you. Thank you.

  • HP Envy 5660: HP Envy 5660 will not be printed on cardstock

    I just spent over an hour on the phone with tech support trying to 1 million different options to allow me to print. A week ago, I bought this printer to print on cards for the baptism of my son (in 2 days) and he refuses to print on thick paper. Technical support tried different drivers, printing through the viewer of PDF, Word printing, printing of a multitude of different parameters, since the photo tray, since the main tray, wireless, USB, etc. Nothing WORKS! I need to get there as soon as POSSIBLE. I find it very difficult to believe that this 'thing' print on photo paper but impossible to print on card stock of all things. Help, please! If HP someone sees my case number is 3028801369. Thank you.

    Hi @mirurzun,

    Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

    I understand that you use a HP ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer with a Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan computer and you cannot print on thick paper with success. I would like to help with that.

    I went and checked the case created by the agent who you work with. He noted that the end of the document appeared at the top of the card stock, but when you use plain paper it printed fine.

    I called HP ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer (F8B04A) specifications and found that cardboard did not appear as a type supported media which is probably why you are not able to make it work.

    If this helps you find a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.
