HP ENvy 550na 700: HP ENvy 700-550na WIFI disappeared

My Wifi is gone. I tried troubleshooting and looking at the network settings, but the option for WiFi has completely disappeared. He keeps asking an ethernet cable; its asthough he does not know what he used to use the Wifi. I also tried to restart the router. It is only 6 months old and I have upgraded to Windows 10 months without any problem. Help, please! (I'll have to borrow a laptop computer to send it. (laptop can connect to wifi)

I just bought a HP Envy 4500 printer,

When you attempt to print from a PC with windows 7 OS home pro (64-bit), the print job appears in the queue and then disappears, but the printer does not print anything.

Everything else seems to work very well know

    • The printer prints the internal test page
    • The printer does print when you use iPad2
    • The printer does print when you use ePrint
    • The PC recognizes and communicates with the printer (tried with USB connections and wireless)
    • Analysis feature works very well - when initiated from the PC and printer

    I tried

    • uninstalling and reinstalling the software (several times using software from different sources)
    • restart the printer queue service
    • Disabling the firewall
    • running printing HP and doctor Scan
    • following the instructions described here (the question is the same but the different operating system):

Print jobs disappear from the print queue and print (Windows 8)

    • combinations of all of the above

Absolutely no joy in any of them, and in spite of more than 2 hours of research on Google and forums search I can't find a solution.

HP... can you give me a solution or is that goes back to the shop?

Well I finally worked on the fix myself by trial and error.  I changed the security settings for 'All' and 'Creator owner' to 'Print' and "Administer Documents".  Why on earth they were not automatically allowed as part of the installation, I couldn't really say.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

  • HP Envy M6 - 1103so Wifi issues

So my WiFi keeps declining. Most of the time this is 1 or 2 bars and running extremely slow, often so slow that firefox reacts in not opening any site. So, I went down to the store where I bought it, and they send to repair.

They exchanged my WLAN. But it's still doesn't work do not, it's actually worse than before the repair. Sometimes he climbs at full signal for about a half second, then up to 1 bar again. After awhile it drops signal completely, it says that it cannot find any network, then I have to restart my laptop and then I get signal again, but after a while the same thing happens.

So I thought that they just changed the WLAN, then maybe it's a driver problem or a virus. My network drivers has completely updated, I ran the anti-virus, anti-malware and anti-adware (bitdefender, malwarebytes anti-malware, adwcleaner, HitmanPro) and nothing came. My phone, another computer, TV and PS3 would go absolutely well on the network at the same distance from the router. If I put my right cell phone next to the router, I get full signal. So I guess it's a kind of antenna problem, but it is hardware or software?

So please help me to solve this problem. The only solution is to send it in for repair once more?

I found many solutions to HP Envy WiFi problems in the forum. Just type in wifi HP Envy or wireless in the search box.

For example, a recent post, is:

I try these first, then if the problem continues contact HP support.

  • HP envy x 2 wifi after sleep

    Hello

I have a HP Envy X 2 g001-el Atom convertible netbook with detachable keyboard.

    upgrade to win8.1

Home wifi network, it must 'autoconnect' to this network.

The fact is that when I turn the laptop, plug in and working properly.

Whenever I take the operating system (without turning it off), I have to disconnect and reconnect in the case otherwise it won't surf the web or any other task related to the internet.

When this happens, if I'm going to nd command line, run the IPCONFIG command I see he has the right address IP/subnet mask and gateway

Ping to the gateway gets timeout

I think it's a driver problem, that's why I write under 'software '. Updated drivers.

Thanks to everyone for help me, he is a stupid bug

another small issue is that sometimes audio doesn't work and I have to restart

time sometimes change by himself at odd hours

the trackpad gestures works do not (this works in stain remover and reconnect the keyboard)...

I can say that my first experience of hp isn't that exciting...

    Update:

the problem is related to suspend the options and the wifi adapter. from the Panel, network card, chose the card, drivers and found an option called "wake up mode." Set it to 'none' and now it's working after sleep.

We can say "resolved", although I think that a "tablet" or something similar must always be connected without having to seek solutions 'geek '...

    Everyone?

    Hey @CandyCaneLane,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject.

Because you get the message "the driver for WDF device Print is not installed" under the heading adding printer, it would seem that the packet driver HP full software functionality is not used, even if you have already attempted an install disk with the download. Can I please you follow the steps below.

Please make sure that the USB cable is disconnected from your printer to your computer.

    Step 1: Remove the device:

It is crucial for the repairs we have a clean slate to work with. So, I'm going you have to make sure every trace of your HP Envy have been removed from your computer, before installation. Perform the following steps on your computer Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select all programs
    3. Click the HP folder
    4. Select your HP Envy
    5. Select Uninstall
    6. Please follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstall
    7. Click on the Start menu
    8. Select the devices and printers
    9. If you see your HP Envy listed, please right click top and select "remove device' or 'Remove'.
    10. Once the device HP Officejet was deleted please click left once on any device used to indicate the heading Printers and fax machines . You just want to highlight the device
    11. Then click on the print server properties at the top
    12. Under the print server properties, click the drivers tab
    13. If you see your HP Envy pilot showing under the list please click on it. Then, click Remove. Click remove the pilot from the box pop up
    14. Click OK
    15. On the print server properties window, click apply and OK
    16. Close Devices and printers

    Step 2: Remove temporary files:

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. In the box "search programs and files" located just above to start after you click on it, type %temp% , and then press enter on your keyboard
    3. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    4. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
    5. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    6. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 3: Install the device:

    1. Please click here to download the latest package Full Feature Software and Driver for your HP Envy
    2. Once the download is complete, follow the prompts on the screen to install your printer
    3. Choose the installation by the network
    4. Once the installation is complete on your Vista and Windows 7 computers please test print and scan to confirm functionality

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hear from you!

  • HP Envy 15-k151us: HP Envy 15-k151us wifi connects not to do, I've got the wrong driver?

I deleted Windows 8.1 and installed windows 7 64 bit on my HP Envy 15-k151us, but I can't find the correct driver for my wireless b/g/n adapter. I went to the site to download driver HP and there were at least 4 driver packages. There was a driver package to a Realteck adapter, a card an Atheros card, Intel and Broadcom card. Since I don't know what adapter I have, I have downloaded all 4 of them and tried each of them. After I installed the driver, my laptop seems to recognize the adapter, but it wouldn't connect. I use the wrong driver? How will I know? How is it, I can't connect? It's only my laptop and nothing else.

My laptop has the following specifications:

    Intel Core i7-4710HQ 2.5 GHz

    Intel HD 4600 graphics card

    Hello:

You find the parts list for your laptop it comes with the Broadcom BCM43142 802.11bgn 1 x 1 Wi - Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 HMC combination WLAN adapter.

    http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=J6P00UA

The fact that you "threw each wireless driver in the book", could have a detrimental effect on the wireless setup.

I suggest you to reinstall W7 and install that driver wireless broadcom driver bluetooth and see if you get better results.

Driver LAN Broadcom wireless.  There is a newer driver than the one on your laptop support and driver page.

    File name: sp69014.exe

This card also comes with bluetooth, so you need this driver bluetooth also.

Software and driver Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0

    File name: sp66402.exe

It is generally recommended to install the following drivers in this order and restart after each installation for best results.

    1. Intel chipset installation utility

    2 HD Intel graphic driver

    3. audio driver

    4. Ethernet driver

    5. wireless driver

Then you can install the rest in any order you want.

Hi, I have an ENVY TouchSmart 14 - k074ca Sleekbook, running on Windows 8.1.

Recently updated my Modem/Routert to a system of dual band at high speed. This router WIFI channels are in the band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

My Hp Sleekboog sees the 2.4 GHz signal, but he is unable to see / connect to the 5 GHz signal.

What should I do to access these two signals/bands?

    FOR INFO.

My old IBM laptop and IPad have no problem seeing and connecting to each signal/band.

Thanks in advance for your answer

    Rudi

    Hi RudiL,

I understand that you are having problems with your wireless network and your WANT from HP TouchSmart 14 - k074ca Sleekbook. You could try the rest of this paper on the discovery network and file sharing on each computer that you want to access on the network. Here is a link to this document.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03535285

Make sure that all of your Windows updates have been supported.

I searched Microsoft for a fix for this and that they indicate on the forums that if you change the channel of the router to 36, this will solve the problem of connection of 5 GHz.

    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you.

  • HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC: HP ENVY 17 Touchpad problem

IDK if its supposed to be like that, which i dout it is, but the right side of my touch pad is lower than the left side. If you run your finger along the bottom of my touch pad, you can feel that buffer gets lower and the right side of the touchpad is not flush with the surrounding material of the body of the laptop. anyone else experienced this as well or is it just me? does anyone have a solution for this? Should I unscrew the bottom of the laptop and adjust the level of my touchpad or shouldn't worry about this? the only thing I could think is that the right is lower because I click more on the right than the left, but I don't think he would give an unbalanced feeling. All comments are welcome and appreciated. Thank you.

Its really just a pad of the singular connected at the top of the touchpad to the chassis. If its warped or possibly stick could have developed a toggle on a side switch.  I have not particularly noticed this problem on Envy 17 my wife but the other laptop with a touchpad click without left or right buttons tend to develop a curvature over time with use. His plastic after all and deforms.

  • Random wifi disconnects on newly purchased HP Envy Dv6 windows 8

Just bought a laptop (HP Envy dv6) and WiFi disconnects randomly while browsing online with Google chrome. Working very well so that it disconnects randomly, but almost always when I opened multiple Web sites at once (usually about 4-5 pages). The modem/router disconnects and connects to the top of the inside of 5 to 10 seconds. Wired connection works very well on my desktop running windows 7.  Any help would be gladly appreciated.

This happens to you to other devices connected to the wifi? If not its probably your router, you can buy a new see if that helps or swich for cable.

  • HP ENvy 550na 700: HP Envy 700-550na connect to a display

I feel very stupid, but I'm trying my new computer connext to my new screen (purchased both in store HP). The screen came only with a VGA cable, but despite the computer manual showing in this regard, I can not find a computer VGA port! Does anyone know if she has one, and where it is? I can't believe that I would have sold a screen and a tower with a cable which don't linke both!

I'm in the same boat - this is my first purchase of HP and my first computer in 10 years!  I bought the desktop PC HP ENVY Phoenix 850qe and monitor HP Pavilion 27xw 27 inch IPS LED backlit on the HP store, and I called and spoke with an HP sales representative and went on my configuration to make sure that I had everything that I needed - I can't also believe that they sent me a monitor that cannot be connected to my PC. The monitor comes with a VGA cable only.

I had a frustrating experience with the help of HP (found this forum all waiting for the 3rd time)-representatives were difficult to understand, and I had a hard time to convince them that I have no VGA on my new computer port.  I talked to a representative and had to hold several times while he checked things and then I was transferred to the Home & Home Office store to join a DVI converter VGA - after being on hold for a while the appeal was discontinued during the transfer. I called support again and had to convince them, once again, I have had no VGA port. I was then transferred to the Bank home and had a chance to talk with someone, but he said that I have to order and pay for the adapter. I held for a very long time for a supervisor, who said it would take more than a week for me to receive an adapter from them, so she gave me an enough refund to buy an adapter on the spot. I asked if I could get just a cable HDMI to HDMI (since the computer and the monitor have HDMI ports) and she said it works.

So the result was acceptable, but I am disappointed, I have to wait another day to get my computer set up - it's too late to go into a store, now, since I spent so much time on the phone with HP.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you're a need help to get reconnected to your desktop HP ENVY h8 PC - WiFi antennas 1520t. Well, I have included a few pictures below to help out you. Seems to me why you had problems because WiFi antennas do not put in the card mother Formosa, but the WiFi card on the Board.

You can see where the WiFi card connects on this image.

Now if you look at, you will see the card WiFi and Attennas which are illustrated in this image.

Antennas simply screw on the screw that comes and the other on the left.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satsifaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a wonderful day!
