HP Envy 5540: software

I can't download the software for this printer to my PC using the W10.  It prints well, and the scan says it is sent to the computer, but he also says computer not found, despite all the WiFi being OK.  When I try to download, it says that there is an error.

  • How to print multiple copies on a HP Envy 5540

I'm running OS X 10.7.5. on an iMac. I recently bought a HP Envy 5540, connected wireless printer. It fails to print more than one copy at a time. I see nothing in the software or instructions to change it. Help please!

It is not clear, put you number of copies in the boxes of Copies and pages?

    Can try this...

Startup HD, (operation key shift key down to start), run the disk utility in Applications > utilities, then highlight your reader, click on repair permissions.

All devices which appeared already in your list of printers and faxes list should be added again after resetting the printing system.

    1. To use the reset function of printing under Mac OS System X 10.5.x, follow these steps:
    2. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
    3. On the view menu, choose Printers and faxes .
    4. Control-click on the printer list on the left side of the window, then choose "Reset printing system" from the context menu. If you don't see the list of printers, Ctrl-click on the text "click on + to add a printer or fax" and select "reset printing system...". »

  • HP Envy 5540: HP Envy 5540 does not scan

    Hello

I just bought an all-in - One HP Envy 5540 and installed on my PC running Windows 7 Home Edition (64-bit).  I did the whole upward online and printer and copier work without problem.  But the printer won't scan to my PC.  (I use a USB, is told by the way).

When I press the icon 'Search' on the printer, I get an error message that says: "no computer found."  He then gives instructions to "open the HP printer software, select Actions 'Scan' and then select 'Manage the computer analysis'."  The only "software" I can find is the downloaded "printer Assistant", who does not have a tab "Scanner Actions."

I tried to download the "Scan" doctor and still running the 'fix', but it did not work after following all the instructions, including unplugging them, restart the PC, etc.

Any ideas I can try please?

    Thank you.

PS update: after a stop during the night, today - when I press 'Analysis' - the printer is set up a list with my computer upstairs (another entry said "no computer not listed").  When I press the icon for my computer, I get a brief 'access... '. "message as he tries to connect.  I get then a message saying "connection required.  The selected computer is not available.  Ensure that:-l' computer is turned on; -l' computer and the printer are connected properly with a cable USB; -the recommended HP Print software is installed and configured on the computer. »

The only one I am uncertain is the last of them - but I guess he has everything installed and configured, because everything else seems to work.

    Still stuck!

  • HP Envy 5540: HP Envy 5540 connect after upgrading the motherboard

I bought a HP Envy 5540 a month ago.  Installed fine on Windows 10, full software, all features runnning well etc.

I had to update the motherboard on the weekend. made when the software did not work properly, gave options to connect wireless and USB printers only. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, not better.

Printing HP Scan DR detects the printer, but says he isn't connected and downloads and runs the installation of the complete software that gives only to a USB connection and wireless options. HP EasyStart also believes that it is, so try to do an installation of the software which again gives options to connect printers connected USB or wireless. Whatever I can't do the wired ethernet connection option I received previously.

    Since this circle 3 - 4 times.

I'm guessing this has to do with the fact that the new motherboard has a new network controller (RealTek), but I can't find any problems. Everything else works well.

Any help and advice would be much appreciated

  • HP ENVY 5540: Tricolor cartridge?

    Hello

I want to buy a new HP printer. The HP ENVY 5540. When I read the specifications. I have seen that there are only 2 cartridges. One for black ink and one for the three colors.

My question is, how is it that these three colors are in a cartridge? What you have to do when for example the magenta is empty and the other two colors are not... then you must buy a new just for the magenta?

Sorry if there is already a topic in this forum, but I couldn't find an answer.

    Thanks in advance

    Cynni

    Hello

For normal printing, the Tricolor cartridge should reduce all the colors at roughly the same speed, but if you print something repeatedly with a dominant color, then it might be wise to choose a printer with individual ink for each color carts.

  • HP Envy 5540: HP Envy 5540 will not be printed on A4 photo paper

As said in the title, the HP envy 5540 which has brought us recently will not print on A4 photo paper. When you try this it will be just the paper jam. It can print on the matte side of the shiny paper but who despises the point to print on glossy paper. Glossy paper in which you provided (10 x 15 cm) works very well so I don't see what the problem is.

So I thought I'd post a response cela in case someone else wins the same problem. To resolve this problem when you put paper in the tray make sure that it is placed as left as possible. The reason for this is because the paper gets stuck to the right of the printer inside, this is of course because this model isn't try and calibrate the book itself just cause, it assumes that the Board is good enough.
If this still does not work then I recommend that once in the basic printing options, select photo paper (HP or not depending on what you have). More there are also in Control Panel > display devices and printers and right click on the printer model you are using, and then select Printing Options. Then, check the orientation of the layout and for verification of the quality of the paper / source paper and media for what you feel would be good for you.

Hope this helps someone else who has this problem because when I looked around I saw never the solution.

  • Want 5540: Cyan not print on new HP Envy 5540

Just bought and installed an HP Envy 5540 printer all-in-one. Everything I try print the fate of the right color. On the use of the tool "Print quality diagnostic", I discovered that all the colors are fine EXCEPT the Cyan. It doesn't print at all. I followed more detailed instructions step by step on how to fix this problem with no advail. It prompted me to "Clean cartridges" which he has done 3 times then said to contact support. Someone at - he no idea why this is happening? This is a new printer straight out of the box, I bought a few days ago so do not know why I would like to experience this?

Looks like you have already performed the steps in troubleshooting in the paper here.  At this point, he seems to have a faulty cartridge and will need to contact HP for a replacement.  You can remove the cartridge and gently pat dry the nozzles on a wet tissue.  A good cartridge will have a strong task of cyan, magenta and yellow.  If your cartridge cyan is missing it would confirm the cartridge as the question.

  • HP Envy 5540: Printer Hp Envy 5540 randomly printed the Network Configuration Page

    Hello!

I bought this printer about a month ago. Set up the connection to the printer wireless with my wifi, and my understanding is that the printer is protected like my wifi and use the same password in order to print something. I kept my printer connected and 'standby mode' since I put in place. The night last at about 23:00 when I was in bed, the printer turned on randomly and printed a "wireless network configuration page" that has had a lot of information, including the IP address and listing my name wifi as well as the names of my neighbors wifi in the surrounding apartments.

I'm trying to understand why this printed, because I certainly did not do. Anyone have access to my wifi, or has someone may simply try to print something and selected my printer as it should appear on the "list available connections on the computer of anyone, given that the printer is turned on? How could they print this sheet of network configuration if my printer is password protected?

I'm mostly concerned about someone who has access to my internet if they could print this page somehow, but maybe it happened just when they tried to connect to it, and it did not work while trying to fix MY printer?

I would appreciate any idea on the issue.

    Thank you!

    Hi @printerprob5540,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I saw your post on how your HP Envy 5540 randomly print a Network Configuration Page. I'm happy to help with this problem!

I find it very strange considering the only way to print the Network Configuration Page, AFAIK, is with the following steps:

    • Make sure that there are size A4 or US Letter, unused, plain paper in the feeder.
    • On the printer Panel, drag the screen to the left and then press Setup.
    • Touch tools.
    • Drag upward on the screen and then tap Network Configuration report.
    • A Network Configuration Page prints up to three pages of information.

  • 5540 ENVY: Envy 5540 connect not not Mac El Capitan

Earlier today, I bought a HP ENVY 5540. I'm trying to install it on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS x 10.11 El Capitan.

When I run HP Easy Start, it says "the device is not found on your wireless network. Click on wait to continue searching, or Reconfigure to restart Setup from the beginning. Click Cancel to select a different device. »

When I try to connect manually, the printer does not appear in my printers and Scanners, even though it says it is connected to the same network as my computer wireless.

    Help?

Uninstalling the drivers does not help matters on a network. This can make troubleshooting more difficult because now the Mac will automatically see the printer.

-All right, since the printer thinks it is connected to a network, try the steps I provided previously. If you're still having problems, this document explains How to fix connectivity issues with your printer.

Please let me know the results after following the above.
