HP Envy Rove, Win8.1 - the PC capacity, once the monitor cannot be revived without forced stop

I recently started having a new problem where the monitor on my Touchscreen Rove will not wake up after sleeping. To the best of my knowledge, the computer turns on and seems to work, but the screen is still asleep. By pressing the power button, move the mouse or press the keyboard keys seem to wake up the monitor. When I hard shut down the computer by pressing the power button and then restart the system, everything starts fine. It has been improved for Win8 to 8.1, but I don't think it's when the issue began.

I've been reviewing several similar problems, but none seem to reflect this specific question. Any guidance would be appreciated.

SOLUTION:

Open BIOS (at startup press ESC and f10).

F9 for default of restor

Then save and exit (press f10, once again)

Restart the computer.

    Hi guys,.

I recently installed it all above named mentioned HP printer software but for some reason, I can't Scan for compatible computer.

I need to work in order to scan a batch of documents and consolidate in 1 file.

The native application of the Mac scanner handles scan page by page and saves it on my desk. but I really need the batch option to work.

I followed all the standard procedures to reinstall the software, resets etc, but I'm still having the problem.

Under the HP utility screen, I have the scan to computer option on the bottom of the menu. I click on that and extract information. Then I get this message as well as the red dot

  • How can I force browsers to log in the website of our company without forcing a change of home page?

I work in a company of about 250 people, of which most have laptops. Boss wants to know how people plusieurs/who take home systems or their use for other sites (on the road, etc.). However, he wants to spring for the tracking software.

I asked a solution to the system service tag in the Navigator platform in the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Settings\5.0\User Microsoft Platform) and then change the home page of our site of the company (via GP) so whenever a user opens the browser, it will automatically connect to our page and we can read the serial number in the web logs. Easy, isn't it?
Unfortunately, we are not having much luck for a few reasons, mainly political. users are not forced or locked up in our site as their homepage and I am not allowed to do so.

Y at - it somehow I can make a change in the registry in my computers from the company who would say systems to shoot silently a gif or even a non-existent file, so all our machines will be reaching out to our Web site (even in silent mode) and can be connected from anywhere where they are connecting from?

Could you have a startup program that browser history log copy in a hidden folder, which could be consulted when they connect website or during maintenance of Windows?

I don't think you could tell the boss to read Dilbert and try not to be as the boss pointed cabbage.  :-)

  • HP Envy Rove

I have a PC desktop to envy of wick. The display shows points as he is affected in several places AGAIN. This happened just as the previous edition of nowhere. It sits right on a table and I bring it with me (don't have also any children that might break).

I bought the PC a little less then 1 year before, had this problem in the summer so brought into the dealer for service. She is back with a new screen, as it's a hardware problem. Total correction was about 600 EUROS! Luckely I had insurance so it cost me my own risk of 50 EUROS. The fix took about 5 weeks to do!

Should I now again brings it to the service center, let them fix again for EUR 600 and then after 3 months more to have the same problem? I think that this piece of equipment is not suitable for normal household use and wish to receive an improved version of it where we do not have this problem, please note that we like the functionality of this PC is easy to use anywhere in the House because of it's battery, but it should work more then 3 months to justify the high price. Please let know us how we can solve this problem, so we are frankly pleased again.

  • HP Envy Rove 20 ks001es: graphics drivers for AiO HP Envy Rove 20 ks001es

    Hello

I have a HP Envy Rove 20 ks001 which has an i3 with Intel HD graphics card (I think it's the 4400 model).

I believe not this product is obsolete, but HP did not provide an update of the graphics driver for Windows 10.

If I look at this Intel site, I see that there is a fresh driver updates but I can't use them because my product drivers are managed by HP. If I try to install these drivers, I get a message sying that I have to contact the manufacturer for driver updates.

How can I use the latest drivers from Intel? I know that the latest drivers on this graphics card offers significant improvements in performance.

The question is: How can I use the Intel drivers published by Intel?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards.

    Alfredo.

    Hello

You can ignore the oem restrictions by manually install the Intel graphics drivers as follows.

First, download the latest version of the Intel HD4400 driver for your laptop on the link below and Save it in your downloads folder - you need the second option (IE win64_154028.4501.zip ).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/26229/Intel-graphics-driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-

Once complete, download and install the .64bit version of 7 - Zip on the link below.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

When you have installed 7 - Zip, open your downloads folder, right-click on the win64_154028.4501.zip package, select 7 - Zip, select extract files and then click Ok.

Cut this folder newly extracted and paste it on your desktop, so it is easy to find.

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R

In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

In Device Manager, expand adapters, right-click on the Intel 4400 device and select "Update Driver Software".

In the next window, select "my computer for software driver Browser", then "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

In the next window, click on the 'Disk' button and browse to the extracted file win64_154028.4501 you pasted on your desktop.

Navigate the graphics subfolder, left click on the file igdlh64. INF to highlight, and then click Open.

Click 'Ok' and then click 'Next' and wait for the driver to install.

One when you're done, click on 'Close' and then click 'Yes' to reboot the PC.

    Kind regards

  • HP Envy Rove 20 - Windows update breaks tapΘ 11

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? Any help appreciated.

    HP Envy Rove 20

    Windows 8.1

Windows - scheduled to run automatically updates

When windows update requires a reboot to install recently downloaded updates, I reboot and after restarting internet explore 11 poster not all web pages at all - just there is 'waiting for reply' of any url I type in, all other connected network applications work correctly (by email, news RSS norton internet security etc.).

This happens in the office as well as Win 8.1 mode mode (no difference). I tried to reboot several times after the update, remove temporary files, cookies, etc - all to no effect.

Other devices on my home network can view web pages etc without problems, internet connection, DNS, router wireless and Broadband BT are all ok. (I'm in the United Kingdom).

The only course of action to correct the problem seems to be a restore from the most recent restore point system (before the updates being downloaded. I also have HP support assistant installed and running (check the updates from HP etc..)

I tried to do a system restore, then install google chrome, running windows update again, install all the same updates, chrome has the same problem as IE11.

This happens very regularly - ideas out there?

    Thank you very much.

  • HP Envy 700-470na: changing the case of the HP Envy 700-470na.

Today, I upgraded my PSU and GPU for my HP Envy 700-470na. The case for my PC is too small and I can barely sort out the cables.

If someone can recommend a decent case that is less than £50, can put all the pieces of pc HP in the case like the motherboard, hard drive etc and lots of space for the circulation of air and cables. Who would be appreciated! Thank you. I hope that my problem can be resolved soon.

    PSU - Corsair CX600M
    GPU - EVGA GTX 970

The form factor for the motherboard is: Μatx: 24.4 cm (9.6 inches) x 24.4 cm (9.6 inches).  You must buy a case that is made for this.  This means that the accessory in the case must match the holes in the motherboard.  HP has their mothers caught their specifactions cards.  So, they can be standard.  In addition, the connectors in the case may not match the connectors on the motherboard.  The front connector for the power button is the one who comes to mind.  It is very difficult to recommend a case that is certain to work.  You can find the case you like and contact the manufacturer for Technical Support to see if they can make sure it will work for your components.

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.

  • HP ENVY 5646: Replacement of the ink cartridges

Hi - I have the all-in-one printer from HP ENVY 5646 and endorsed the Plan of instant ink Hp.

I just run out of the "no Flash" color ink cartridge (ink cartridge black 'no snapshot' is about half full)-both "no snapshots" cartridges supplied with the printer.

So - I replaced the color ink cartridge is 'no snapshot' with the color cartridge instant I received a few weeks ago, when I signed up for the instant the ink plan, my question is: should I also replace the ink cartridge 'snapshot not' black now with the black cartridge of instant or wait until it is empty?  Is it true that I should replace the black cartridge and color at the same time whenever one runs out of ink?

Thank you very much for your reply - much appreciated.

  • Envy 15: Stuck on the HP screen

Good so recently I accidentally leave my laptop ran out of battery. I've loaded and started upward and it's gone through an update of windows then stuck on the loading screen HP during auto restart during this process. All I see is black HP logo and the white dots circling below until after a few seconds the HP logo becomes, but the indirect approach points continue.

I did a hard reset but it changed nothing. I also ran each test system, it won't let me in the menu diagnosis and has passed everyone, including 2 extensive system testing.

Whereas this problem is usually either a broken hard drive or fixed with a hard reset I am at a loss for what to try next. It's a HP Envy 15 with Windows 10 - 64 bit.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, use another PC to create a bootable Windows 10 DVD or a USB Flash drive via the following link.  Under the section "Imperative to create a cable USB, DVD or ISO", download the media creation tool.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Once you have it, run the tool, select 'Create the installation media for another PC', then select the language edition of Windows 10 and 64-bit.

Follow the rest of the guests to create this and then click on finish when done.

Insert the Installation of Windows 10 support and stop the laptop by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

Click next to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Boot Menu, and then select the Boot Options Menu ( f9 ).

Use the arrow keys to highlight the CDROM (uefi) or USB Flash Driver (uefi) option, according to the type of media you created, then press on enter – if you are prompted to "Press any key to continue...". "- make.

Start on the Menu of Boot Options Advanced - see Option 5 on the link below for more information on access to this.

  • 750se envy: envy of the brand new office no signal to the monitor via HDMI

Just got my new 750se envy and 25 x 25 backlit monitor. After putting it all together, I connect the monitor of the Tower via HDMI. Tower boots, display lights, I pop in setting up the drive, but the monitor says that it cannot find a signal. I test my old monitor to the new Tower (a monitor of series pavilion aged 7 years). Same results. The Tower seems to be the treatment given that you can hear what it read the disc.

I take another hdmi cable and and test exactly as described above. New monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal. Old monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal.

Just to be sure, I plug my new monitor to my old HP Pavilion desktop computer. Tower lights up as usual, and the new monitor immediately comes to life with color. I can safwly guess it's the tower. I open the side panel and check all jacks to make sure they are warm and fully attached. Nothing seems to be loose or out of place.

I start to sting online for answers. I met this reset of the BIOS. Press F10 to 8 seconds, down, 3 times arrow, enter twice and restart. Nothing. Still no signal. Can I assume there is something wrong with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 and windows the cause? Maybe turn hdmi ports are messy? It was the only other subjects I really found on the issue. Everything seems to work, just no signal between the monitor and Tower.

Since it is a relatively new machine, instead of hurt for hours to fix yourself, why not just let HP repair at our expense!

You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

  • HP ENVY 17-j101ex - replace the SSD HARD drive

    Hello

I have HP ENVY 17-j101ex, with the standard configuration: 2 x 1 TB drive HARD 5400 RPM SATA. I want to buy 1 SSD drive and replace the first (boot) hard disk drive. I don't know if it works or not.

    I want to buy a SSD Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SATA III (MZ-7TE250BW), 2.5 ", dimensions: 100 x 69 x 7 mm

I have to: 1 x 1 TB HARD drive (as a secondary drive) + 1 x 250 GB SSD SATA3 (as your startup with system disk)

    Is this ok?

    I found some info, that:

    Supports a 6.35 cm (2.5 in) 300 GB or 160 GB SSD (SSD) drive in 7, 0 - mm (. 28 - in.) thick

    Supports 6.35 cm (2.5 in) hard disks to 12.7 mm (. 50-in) and a height of 9.5 mm (. 37 - in)

Is it not this Samsung SSD too big?

I also found information on envy 17 series, which:

Supports the following single hard drive/solid-state drive combination configurations:
    ● 1-TB, 5400-rpm, 12.7-mm hard drive × 1 + 300-GB solid-state drive

    and also:

NOTE: Supports RAID-0 as default for all dual hard drive/solid-state drive combination configurations.

So, first of all should I disable RAID-0?

Thank you for your help and sorry for my English

In fact, I have the same model laptop PC series. You will have no problem replacing the mechanical main hard drive with an SSD. The Evo to Samsung 250 Gig is a very good choice. I suggest you get cloning software, put the SSD in the second slot, start from cloning software and copy (clone) the startup disk for the SSD. You'll slim down the contenst of the diskette of starting less than 250 concerts to achieve, but you can store files off to the second disk of 1 TB in the process. There are other ways to do this post if you have any questions.

Here is a video showing how to install the hard drive.

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=wx3dMGXrGCc

RAID-0 is supported, but you wouldn't want as a second hard drive with an SSD. If your readers are appearing as volumes of letters separated in 'the PC' or 'Computer' then RAID-0 does not exist and you shouldn't have to do any disorder in the BIOS.
